Best Western Plus Au Cheval Blanc Mulhouse Nord

We booked for one night, a stopover on our trip to Italy. The receptionist was friendly and professional. We got the key to our room across the road. When we entered the room, it looked fine but there was a bad smell in the room. We didn't bring the luggage into the room but went back to the recption and told the receptionist about the smell. She immediately gave us a room in the main building which was perfect. We went out for dinner to a restaurant but that had closed due to Covid. So we came back to our hotel and had our dinner there. Even though we had not reserved we got seated straight away. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and the food was much better than we expected. Altogether a very positive experience. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
Novotel Nancy

Decided to discover Nancy for a quick weekend getaway. Hotel is situated near the motorway and is easy for driving down into town. Executive Room was comfortable if a bit small. Sofa bed for the third guest is a bit hard. Bathrooms are compact but adequate and separate WC is useful when travelling with a teenager. Rooms have been renovated recently. Oddly, the safe was not yet secured to the cupboard. Reception and breakfast staff are friendly. There is a feeling of understaffing though. For example, the sofa bed had not been prepared on arrival. Breakfast choice is fine and varied. We did not have time to swim, but the pool area looks nice and the pool is quite large. From the parking, the hotel was full while we were there, but everything worked well. Some guests are completely inconsiderate when it comes to parking and yelling to each other, but that is not the hotel‘s fault. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in Nancy or in nearby Lorraine.

Strasbourg Train Station
The front desk staff is very friendly and will give you a map of the town. If you drive there, someone will help you park your car. The small town itself is not big, so it's very close to the attractions.

Strasbourg Downtown
My sister and I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. It is very clean, modern, and well located. It's close to the train station and Petite France. Our room was very quiet although it is facing the busy streets with restaurants and shops outside. The AC in the room and hot water in the shower work really well. A kettle with cups, tea bags, coffee packets, and creamer are provided in our room. This is great as we could enjoy a cup of hot tea in our room after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel staffs are professional and friendly.

Best Western Plus Hotel Metz Technopole

This is one of my favourite hotels as I drive from France to Sweden with my dogs. Lovely staff that always go out for their way to make the stay enjoyable and even let me have room service really late in the evening, when I was tired after a long day of driving, and it normally was finished for the day. They speak good English. But the BEST with this hotel is the beds!! If I could sneak one home with me I would. ;) Super comfortable and lovely fluffy duvets and pillows in spacious rooms with complementary water and coffees and tea. The rooms are spacious. My dogs and I will be back! :)
Grand Hôtel Bristol

Note it’s not ‘almost an hotel’ but ‘an ‘almost’ hotel’ by that I mean things are ‘almost’ perfect - but not quite. The car park is a faff to get into, two gates entered via a clicker available from reception on a parallel street. The spaces are small and very fiddly to get anything bigger than a Fiat 500 into. OK, I missed the part about the entry code being on one of the pieces of paper given to me but why is it needed in the first place? The room we had was classed as a ‘Junior Suite’ actually just a family room with three beds. The main shower, an over bath variety, so not easy for a less than nimble wife, was just a small shower head set in the wall producing a pretty pathetic spray, ok there was a hand held head as well. Just one tea bag and coffee sachet for each person but with really nice china cups but cheap, thin plastic water cups. Air Con set at 24c and, as far as I could make out, not adjustable, It sounded like a 747 on take off, all night, and did nothing to lower the room’s temperature. Breakfast was just about OK, but very unremarkable in an overcrowded restaurant where the tables were jammed together, cheek by jowl. So, nothing horrible, just a hotel that ‘almost’ makes its 4 star classification - almost but not quite.
Odalys City Strasbourg Green Marsh

two people stay in Odalys. The room was spacious and quiet. We had 3 good nights, the bed was firm but comfortable. The microwave is a nice to have, but cooking is not recommended. Bathroom was large with a good shower. A shower curtain would be useful. We also paid for breakfast which we do not recommend. €16 is too much money. A big problem for me was that there was no cutlery to take the eggs and bacon with you. This is not hygienic if you have to do this with the foodstuffs each individual eats with. It was also rather on the small side. It is good that the accommodation thinks about the environment so that there are not too many surpluses. But it would be nice if there was some more explanation on how to operate the juice maker.
Loisium Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne

Really enjoyed the two night stay here. Its located in the middle of the country with very little nearby. You need to drive here and have access to car/bikes during your stay. We had our own bikes and they had a secure cycle store onsite which was very handy. Easy 20 min cycle into town, slightly harder up hill ride back! The design of this hotel is super, so many details it's hard to list but the rooms are well designed with good amount of surfaces and storage for 2 people! Beautiful little window seats to take in the view. Coffee and coffee machine provided. Stunning heated pool facing into the vineyards, two saunas and a steamroom. Breakfast was excellent, a little slow on service to be honest but excellent nonetheless. We taxied out one night (no issues getting out and back) and ate in the hotel on the second night. Dinner was also excellent as well. Highly recommend and would return.
Hotel l'Europe

Hotel was easy to find and parking availability was ample. We arrived late in the evening and the staff was very kind to check us in smoothly. Hotel is quiet and clean with a pleasant lobby and lounge. We didn’t try the restaurant but it looked nice as well. Beds were comfortable and accommodations were perfect for our overnight stay. Would recommend to any fellow travelers.
