It was an awesome experience in Aruss. I would like to commend the very helpful employees, everyone was so nice and welcoming.
Hotel is near supermarket making it really convenient on buying your food or late night snacks however, its quite far from malls and other landmarks. During ramdaman, it took us few minutes to book a taxi, whether gojek or bluebird and the fare rate shoot up when non-peak hours.
I would appreciate if the pool is heated and if the sauna will be placed outside the gym.
But all in all, I love my stay in Aruss hotel and I will definitely comeback.
From beginning till the end awesome. Good room for 3 people. Dinner was good. Breakfast excellent. Beautiful swimmingpool. And to end it with a complimentary foto,. This exceeded expextations, Thank you, Terima Kasih, Dankjewel!
Only because of the location of the hotel to the point of the photos of Borobodur and the valley. Pricing is inadequate. If on the peak day you paid a luxury with the possibility of free cancellation or change the date of arrival, then even if you change the date in which there is no loading and the price is three times lower, then prepare to pay another third of the value of the usual price... breakfast in the form of Swedish Don't wait for the table either... such a financial approach is very disappointing. Food in the restaurant is quite edible, pleasant swimming pool, friendly staff. If you want to get on the morning photo of Borobodur, you can boldly choose a more budget option even if it is a little further.
Great experience. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The highlight for me was the breakfast buffet…plenty of delicious local Solo dishes to try! The staff were friendly and the check-in was smooth. It’s also very close to the train station, which was super convenient. Would stay here again
Not many hotels offer facilities for families, especially with children, and The Wujil Hotel is one of them. Excellent! Keep it up! From the pool to the mini zoo, and even affordable electric bike rentals – all great. However, it's a pity that the kids' club's advertised opening time is 9 AM, yet it actually opens at 11 AM. This seems to be due to staff shortages. Overall, it's good! Well done, The Wujil!
This hotel is centrally located in Semarang, within walking distance of attractions like Queen City Mall, the Old Semarang Post Office, and the Great Mosque. It's also conveniently located about 960 meters from Poncol Train Station, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Facilities and services include an outdoor pool, fitness center, executive lounge, free WiFi, and free parking. Some rooms feature a minibar and a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is offered, and certain room types include executive lounge access. The staff are warm and welcoming, and check-in and check-out at the front desk are quick and easy. Overall, the service experience is excellent!
I love coming to Magelang but hardly stay there because there’re not such well maintanied & clean hotels. Knowing Artotel just opens, i purposely make a plan to stay in Magelang & try Artotel.
The room is super clean & big, also the bed in comfy. Huge shower space in junior suite room, water pressure is strong. Eventhou water drainage is a bit slow but not a big deal.
I don’t have a chance to try the b’fast but i heard Magelangers like to have weekend b’fast in the hotel (so i assume their b’fast must be good😁).
The parkir is limited but valet is available.
All the staff are super friendly & helpful.
I really enjoy my stay & definitely will come back.
Artotel is highly recommended!👍🏼

DDr. Ong SoetantoI do not think I would choose to stay at this hotel again if I return to Semarang.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was already disappointing. I asked the staff for a prayer mat and they told me the hotel had them available, but no one ever came back to provide one. If a hotel confirms that something is available, it should be delivered to the guest properly. Small things like this reflect the level of professionalism and attention to guests.
Another issue was during sahur or the early breakfast. I came down to level 5 around 3.30 am and many items were already almost finished, including the rice. I informed the service staff that the rice had run out and needed to be refilled, but nothing was done. Eventually I just took other items such as nasi goreng and whatever was left. The breakfast selection itself was also very basic with very limited variation.
Considering that it is the Ramadan month, I believe the hotel should prepare much better for sahur service. Guests wake up very early specifically for this meal, so food availability and proper staffing are important. During that time I only saw one staff member handling everything, which made the situation even more difficult.
The location of the hotel is actually quite good. It is within walking distance of many trendy cafes and there are plenty of street food options around that stay open late into the night. For guests who enjoy exploring the food scene or hanging out in nearby cafes, the area is convenient.
The front desk service was acceptable, but overall the hospitality experience felt quite standard. Personally, it did not reflect the warm and attentive hospitality that people usually associate with Java.
I did not take any photos during my stay because honestly my mood was not very good after experiencing these issues.
I hope the hotel management can take this feedback seriously and improve the quality of service, especially during Ramadan when guest needs are quite specific. Thank you.
GGuest UserWe stayed during Ied Mubarak holiday for 4 days/3 nights in April 2025. We booked 2 connecting rooms for my family (4 persons). I chose this hotel because it has swimming pool and gym, we used to exercise daily. In fact, the gym was closed for long term maintenance. It should be declared and crossed out from the hotel facility so we noticed from beginning, not surprised on site. The rooms at a glance were ok but when we looked to the interior were lousy. The curtain, gordyn, and bed lamps, dirty and stained. My children room has no curtain, so direct sunshine and very hot during the day. The towel seemed already used for years. not soft, looks lousy and the color not pure white as normally hotel towel. Each room provided safety box but no function at all. if you see the direction on the safety box (see the photo), it supposed has red button inside the box but no button at all. The safety box used 4 battery. In my room has only 2 batteries out of 4 and already expired since March 2018. My children' room has 4 battery but also not functioned. the button numbers and keys cant be pressed so we cant keep important and valuable items inside it. The swimming pool were crowded and the water was dirty. the hotel supposed to overall cleaning to the pool due to holiday seasons but the water obviously dirty. The parking lot is low maintenance, dirty, and rubbish everwhere. the Horison Ultima was only 3 years old last December 2024 as I saw from the stickwerck at lobby. The hotel was Star Hotel and changed to Horison Ultima. The parking lot was narrow and limited. For location is ok, near Java Mall. good for morning walk. the hotel staffs were polite and fast response. the amenities for 4* hotel is good enough. the mini fridge in the room is ok as well as the Aircon. If I may advise the management, please take serious attention to the cleanliness and maintenance also room refurbishment to the lousy interior inside as top priority.
GGuest UserRezt Hotel Semarang is a great budget-friendly stay in a strategic location. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, perfect for a short trip. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. It’s close to food spots and easy to access from the city center. A solid choice for travelers looking for a simple, clean, and affordable place in Semarang.
KKanaya AndersonWe had a good two-night stay at Novotel Semarang. The service was great—staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast; there was a good variety and everything tasted great.
The only downside is that the hotel feels a little bit old in some areas, but overall it was still a comfortable and pleasant experience.
GGuest UserGreat location, have a great view backyard looking at river streaming, jungle, and mini waterfall. Perfect for nature lover. Amazing restaurant and cafe. However the cleanliness of the room should be improved. Many moulds around the room and the bathroom. Also quite smell when you entered the room, like a wet or damp clothes smell. Parking area could be improved to accomodate more vehicles. Thanks
MMutiaraActually the hotel is good, only get a bad experience for the first time staying here, I ordered a romantic dinner directly to this hotel cp, I made sure it was private and didn't share with others. But the reality is ZONK. On the day of H, I checked in, I didn't know if there was a single organ, I wanted to sing near the pool. I was told how many hours have been. Seriously, I have paid expensive and I was in a hurry, where many people were lined up, the gifts were also as good as it was just a day, even though I booked the dinner Romantic DR VERY DAY. Not bad, the price is 1jt, but if the waiter is so 😥 starts at 19.00 - 21.00 he said, but the tb is being rushed at 17.00-19.00 hadeh. If I didn't say I wouldn't accept it, I would have dinner at 17.00 pdhl before saying 19.00 . But besides that, it's okay, fortunately it sells a sea view. Please improve the service yes. I'm just disappointed that I should have a romantic momment dinner, even a place to be a crowded, and many people passing by when I want to take pictures. The dinner was only 1 hour and even asked to be brought to the room for the rest. It's a pity if you have to pay 1 jt so
DDon Thusitha - AustraliaI booked two rooms for my friend and family and for myself. Superb rooms. Very spacious. Value for Money. All facilities are included. Nice swimming pool.
Amazing breakfast and restaurant staff. Very kind and polite. Supportive pleasant front desk staff and security staff. Elavita front desk officer is very good. She gave full support to book my 2nd room.
I feel sad I couldn't stay more days because of back to Jakartha. Lovely pleasant stay. Do not go anywhere. Specially don't book Redoorz hotels. They are scamers. Book this anybody want to go to Purbalingga. Redoorz scamed me

Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang
Semarang, Indonesia
3-day, 2-night experience at Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang
December 24 - 26, 2025
The location is strategic, close to Kota Lama Semarang, near the Great Mosque, and also close to shopping centers (Malls).
Initially, we planned to go as a group of 4, so we booked 2 deluxe twin rooms. It turned out that another niece wanted to join, so we requested an extra bed for one room. ************* We were upgraded to an executive room. It had one king bed and one single bed. The room was spacious with a city view directly at the intersection. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the executive room. 🤭.
Both rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. However, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't hot, and neither was the water in the sink.
For breakfast, the food menu was quite tasty and varied, but the restaurant was a bit small. We tried dinner at the cafe, and all the food we ordered tasted delicious, including the cakes.
The service from the security staff, front desk, and even the restaurant and housekeeping staff was very friendly, kind, and served guests wholeheartedly.
Thank you for everything. I hope you always provide the best and achieve success! 👍
LL. MikeThe breakfast is horrible, bland porridge, only lettuce for the salad, there's pasta but its macaroni covered in small red sauce with no taste, tables doesnt get cleaned properly, 2 people on the egg corner only serving egg with salt, no toppings, no veggies, just pure egg + salt, main course got no variation, noodle rice 1 type of veg, a fish, and chicken. To access the restaurant you need to go through the pool, cool way of thinking, not practical when theres a lot of children playing with the water, parents and nannys sitting on the side.
MMicka LewisUsually prices around 500/700k per night for basic rooms, we paid 4.6j for 2 nights (??)
On top of this:
Set up double bed using 2 twin beds = no plugs next to the bed.
Bedsheets were bot clean when we checked in (they changed it immediately though)
Big concert next to hotel on Friday night until 23.30... windows not enough insulated
TV without any app like Netflix... TV cannot even cast your own phone (disappointing for a new hotel)
Besides:
Rooms and beds are decent and comfortable (even though extreme minimum appliance in the room)
Location very central
So would recommend this place for normal price (below 1000k/night) but certainly not for 2.3j/night
