This was our third visit to this hotel and as always we enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival our allocated room was not very good but it was changed quickly and easily by the front desk staff. The replacement room was good and modern. The only complaint we have is that the shower cubicle is far too small. Large people will have great difficulty getting in and out let alone actually washing. Additionally the hotels location is good, being close the Porta Susa railway station. No need for a taxi. The restaurant across the road is recommended as is the Sushi restaurant just around the corner at the top of the Via Cernaia. Turin is nice city with not too many tourists and wealth of excellent places to see and places to eat at. We have been visiting Turin for 16 years as our son lives here - we love it. Enjoy your stay.

The holiday inn group hotel on a secluded road to the west of Nuova, the interior is relatively dim, but the atmosphere is good. The front desk service is also very enthusiastic. The single room is so small that the room information cards, envelopes, white paper, and pens are all hung on the wall, and there is no decent table. There is only a small table that can be put in the cupboard, and it is equipped with a burning table. kettle. However, the bathroom in the bathroom is very large, and the toiletries are relatively complete, such as shower cap, shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and so on. The price of this hotel may be more expensive than the Francia Holiday Inn in Massaua, but its location is very, very good. Downstairs is a Chinese restaurant and a small supermarket open on weekdays, the train station, the subway station and the airport. The bus is only a 3-minute walk away.

Breakfast is too good! The train station walks 300 meters. Opposite the lake can take a boat. Bathroom accessories are exquisite! Staff is very friendly and introduces many attractions! The lake room is great

Sara and Desire at the front desk are warm and thoughtful. The recommended restaurants and attractions are worth visiting. The room is clean, tidy and bright, and the bathroom is also very good. Great breakfast.

For those traveling by train, the location is excellent, but I would also recommend it in general to reach all the main attractions in a short walking quarter of the hour. The hotel is very well maintained, spectacular design of the environment (in particular, the bar and breakfast room). In this respect, it is noted for the wide range of buffet and breakfast, sweet and salt, as well as the quality of cocktails and coffee taken at the bar. Clean and very functional rooms with more than adequate and quiet spaces. I don't know how to judge access to the SPA for payment: 20 euros per person are not very few, but it is true that this guarantees absolute viability of the spaces and the absence of screaming children who are parked for hours in water-massing baths making bomb tuffs.

Doubletree Hilton Turin is located on the site of the historic FIAT production work. The rooms have very high windows (over 5 meters), the beds are very comfortable, the TV mostly Italian. The hotel itself is located outside of the city center. However, it is easily reachable by metro in 9 minutes. A metro ride costs just 2 Euros. A shopping center and two supermarkets are just one minute away as are a plenty of restaurants. The price is fair and much cheaper than in the center itself, where parking lots are simply unavailable (free at Doubletree Hilton Turin). I would surely recommend staying here.

This review is based on the fact that we immediately coughed up another €180 for 3 days to avoid the horror story that is the rooms at the back of the hotel. I can only imagine the disappointment for those poor residents. This is a hotel that will wow you from the front, but let you down once you're inside. It's a beautiful old building, that's for sure. Very grand and you can imagine what this place would have been like back in the day. But now... Now it's a tired old place with hilariously quirky electrics and a feeling that you're being overcharged at every turn. Like I say, we were so outright horrified with these ”rooms at the back” that I called reception and asked what they could do. They very kindly gave me some options for a lake view. €60 a day. As we were only staying for 3 days, I decided to go for it, and I really don't regret that. The views were fantastic. We were able to enjoy a drink on the balcony over the lakes. The staff were fantastic throughout to be honest. Really friendly and a nice atmosphere throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet was also superb for us. Not a fan of buffets, but they kept things refilled regularly, and the options were a plenty. You can sit outside too, and enjoy the day... Which we did! There's a good indoor pool there, and very below-average ”gym”... If you can call it that! Outdoor pool looked nice. Astroturf, which upset my wife! But the place was also riddled with things that left a sour taste. Beer was €10 for a half-litre, and tea was €5. Punchy numbers. Add to that the fact you get a small bottle of water on day one, and that's your lot. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, and it's €5 a day to hire a kettle! WHAT?!?! TV was tiny (not that it really bothered us). I suspect their electrics is straining, which is why they try and keep the wattage down. Quite often we'd press a light switch and it would turn on different lights. Most odd! It's also quite a stroll to the shops and restaurants. We don't mind a stroll, but it's a lengthy 15 minutes to get close to anything. I hope they take a hard look at things there. It needs a rethink. It's just not as grand as it thinks it is. Not right now anyway.

Really a good place, with free shuttleservice to the airport even! The wifi is free, and works perfectly - and the familyroom we had was spacious and clean - nothing missing with cleaning every say. Great pool area. We enjoyed the breakfast very much! The dinner was buffet during our stay due to the storm, so we can’t really rate the dinner. But everything else was ok. One missing star is for the playground, which is kind of too tired and should be replaced? But other than that: we had two great days here as a family and will come back.

Loved my stay. Great location away from the crowds and near the gorgeous Sempione park and several public transportation lines. Room was impeccably clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the perfect start to each day and Tony’s cappuccino was the best in the city.

Location is great near Porta Nuova rail station, and minutes walk to Via Roma and the wonderful piazzas of Turin. It is always a pleasure to stay at a renovated hotel. The rooms are clean bright and spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious, clean and very comfortable Bed was very comfy Breakfast could be better, as well as waiters attitude. The staff was generally very friendly and helpful, but we have to mention one mostly unpleasant employee whose attitude was not less than disgusting. Since we had to leave, after 2 nights stay, at 2:00 am, we asked upon our arrival, and received the permission to stay at the lobby till our taxi arrives. As we returned to the hotel around 11:00pm, asking for our luggage, this employee explained us that it is not normal to sit in the lobby for 3 hours, while he fas free rooms upstairs. We teravel really a lot, and met different attitudes at hotels, but I cannot remember anything so shameful. Only after I asked if he was actually evicting us, he replied no, and repeated twice that it was not normal or acceptable. I really want to believe that this is an exception.

Excellent hotel, we were bed only so can’t comment on dining room. We booked for 3 nights out of 6 in hotel , a la carte, superb food good service, live music Very comfortable Slight issue with sun beds, no room on beach area, and sometimes around pool, folk reserve early! Very close to ferry stop, so great for seeing the islands. Once you get your room card, easy entry into hotel grounds, from port. An extremely comfortable stay

Très bon hôtel, nous avons logé dans la suite azzurra. Chambre très spacieuse, personnel courtois, petits déjeuners copieux, avec un buffet sucré salé très bien garni. Nous n avons pas pris le dîner car l établissement ne propose qu une formule à trois services. L hôtel est bien situé, on descend la rue et on trouve tout de suite une superbe église et un peu plus bas, le lac Majeur avec de nombreux restaurants au bord de l eau. La ville est bien située, point de départ pour visiter les îles Borromée et à quelques minutes de la très chic Stresa ou d un superbe jardin botanique

Hotel with great location, next to Lake and ferry terminal. During checkin the receptions took IDs and told to come later to get them back which is unacceptable. Also no information on additional access to pool, had to ask myself after finding on the hotel website. Lot of bars and restaurants even in the same building. Tasty breakfasts, the best crossaints I had in Stresa. The downside is also poor maintenance of rooms, slow WiFi, AC control panel was very old and simply AC wasn't working. Bed very soft which is uncomfortable and unhealthy. If the price is attractive I would stay again but the standard is similar to 2 star hotels nearby.

The hotel is situated on a peninsula so the views overlooking the lake are absolutely stunning. The entrance & bar area are beautiful and the reception staff very welcoming. My gluten free requirements were met for breakfast, with fruits, yoghurts, eggs, meats, cheeses & a separate GF section with bread, cereal, cake etc., just a shame there was not a separate toaster. We ate at the hotel for one evening meal, but the choice was quite limited & we felt it very expensive for the food & service received. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room (as with many Italian hotels), but there was a cold water machine in the reception area to refill bottles. The pool, seating & deck areas were immaculate & not overly busy. Our room was clean, comfortable and a good size. The bathroom, although a little small was clean & the shower worked well. The balcony was the best part & spoiled us each morning with the beautiful vista. It was a 10 minute walk into Baveno, where we found the ferry service, boat trips, and a choice of bars & restaurants. There was also a well stocked supermarket just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all it was a lovely hotel in a great location & would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about going to Lake Maggiore. Just note the transfer from MXP airport can be quite expensive if you are getting a taxi or private car.

the positive: - The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most particularly Adi, he was incredibly warm and gave us much advice. Having people like this in a hotel really makes a huge difference in the experience - The beds were very comfortable and the shower head was very nice. - The little balcony had a wonderful view of the lake - The breakfast was excellent, very fresh and varied. Bonus points to the scrambled eggs. I do not know what is inside, but it was divine. to improve: - The shower did not drain very well, but that can be easily fixed - The gym was not really working, but we were told there were plans to expand the whole section
