The room was spacious and the heating worked very well. The key was unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The shower curtain didn't really keep the water in, so the bathroom floor got very wet. The courtyard next to the room was quite nice. Room 509 is actually on the ground floor. I also got bitten by mosquitoes at night, but luckily I managed to kill them quickly.
The front desk had a peculiar process: when I checked in, they asked for my credit card to register the number. The next day when I checked out, I inquired about it and was told it was to prevent guests from forgetting to pay city taxes or other fees after leaving. They also assured me that the card information would be deleted later and not to worry.

The hotel's location is super convenient, just a five-minute walk to the left after exiting Venezia S. Lucia train station on Venice's main island. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is plentiful, with a great view of the canal from the restaurant. The only minor issue is that you have to walk down half a flight of stairs after getting out of the elevator, but everything else was perfect.
I love the hotel, it is amazing, beautiful room, breakfast is good, staffs are friendly, location is ok, walkable to train station or u can take bus. Only thing about is I found a small cockroach in room but not a big deal. Room still clean but idk where is the cockroach from.đ
This hotel is great! I saw a lot of Chinese guests staying here. The room was clean and tidy, and the restaurant staff were very friendly during the two breakfasts I had. The hotel is located right by the highway, with a bus stop outside that goes directly to Venice's main island and the airport/train station. It's perfect for travelers who need to catch a flight the next day or are just arriving in Venice and want to rest for a night. The only downside is that the cleaning staff were very loud in the mornings while cleaning the rooms and in the hallway. I was woken up at the same time both days, which was a bit annoying.

The hotel is very conveniently located. For Venice, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. We booked a room with one large bed, but unfortunately, we were given a room with two separate beds and couldn't change it as there were no other rooms available. The standard rooms face a narrow alley, and around 6 AM, trolleys start rolling by, and the noise wakes you up. Overall, the hotel fully lives up to its 4-star rating. Breakfast is served right on the waterfront on an open terrace â a truly beautiful spot!
Had a very warm welcome. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean. Super friendly and helpful staff and a very large continental breakfast. There were cute tiny olive oil bottles, which was very appreciated. The coffee is a self-serve machine and there was canteen serve for all manner of hot foods, lots of bakery variety. I really enjoyed my one night stay after missing a flight at Verona airport. The staff helped me plan a really fun day until my flight the next day, they stored my luggage, while I went to see the sights. The most beautiful square in the world, dantes statue, Romeo and Juliets balcony, the castle, the river, the amphitheatre and I was lucky to find a wonderful festive market. A wonderful night and day in Verona. I went to the gusti gardens which absolutely wonderful highlight of my day.
The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby.
There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in.
I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit.

The suite was spacious and great, and we received a welcome champagne. However, it's not as good value for money as the Executive Double Room. The night before, we stayed in an Executive Double Room on the third floor, which had a balcony with city views. The suite, on the other hand, was on the second floor with no view from the window. Unless you're traveling with children (the suite has a sofa bed), the Executive Double Room is a better deal.

This hotel is too far from the beautiful Doge's Palace area; it takes at least half an hour to get there from the hotel, which is quite a walk. It's impossible to go from one end of the seaside to the other and come back to rest in between during the day. Taking a water bus costs upwards of 9.5 euros, which isn't worth it. I suspect the hotel management is boosting their ratings on Ctrip because the rooms assigned to our group of Chinese guests were either tucked away in the back, next to the linen storage room, or on the first floor. In any case, we couldn't get a peaceful night's sleep, and the noise started promptly at 6 AM. The shower head was broken, so only the overhead shower worked, and the room had a somewhat dark ambiance. Breakfast was decent, though.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
The location is excellent, close to many attractions and easy to get around. I also really enjoyed the amenities and the overall atmosphere of the hotelâit felt welcoming and relaxing.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would be happy to return in the future.

LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as Iâm an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city â most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) â I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated â the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the cityâs history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories Iâd carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. Sheâs super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didnât eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if thatâs something you like then youâd be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (Iâm petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe theyâre scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so itâd be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.
GGaibiansuishidouzaijinxingThe hotel is located near the train station, about a seven to eight-minute walk away. The exterior design of the hotel looks very modern. However, the first room we were given only had a shower curtain in the bathroom, and water would spill out everywhere when showering, making the floor wet â I almost slipped. On top of that, the shower curtain smelled musty, which was quite disgusting.
After speaking with the front desk, we were moved to another room with a glass door for the shower.
This is a four-star hotel, and the official website photos showed a three-piece toiletry set (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). In reality, the room only had a three-in-one product for hand/hair/body washing. This is a significant difference in quality; typically, three-in-one products are found in hostels, B&Bs, and budget hotels, not a four-star establishment. This is misleading for consumers. When I first brought it up with the front desk, they said there was no three-piece set. After I showed them the official website photos on my second attempt, the front desk reluctantly provided body wash and body lotion.
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
ZZefinityThe biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, but honestly, everything else feels a bit subpar compared to other four-star chains like Hilton. Perhaps it's because Venice's urban infrastructure is quite old. The hotel lobby is nice, but the in-room facilities have some flaws, like certain glued-on fixtures that easily fall off. They do have both new European and old Italian standard power outlets, which is, I guess, okay. There are also a few other minor imperfections, and around 2 AM, there seemed to be a party with young people nearby.
Overall, though, the location and experience justify the price. There are plenty of dining options nearby; I recommend trying some of the highly-rated restaurants for pasta, pizza, and gelato â the prices are good too. After all, hotels on the main island are even less cost-effective and have older facilities. If you have higher expectations for your experience, I'd suggest going a few kilometers away to a Hilton Garden Inn or similar. The price is about the same, the facilities are better, but transportation isn't as convenient. Otherwise, you'd have to pay double the price for something on the main island. For lower expectations, you could try other nearby hostels that aren't hotels.
GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.Â
The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Canât rave enough about them.Â
The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space.
Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional.
Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you donât have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.
GGuest UserRoom is clear and comfortable, thanks to nice location, can take bus to downtown easily.
However, worker at the front desk is unkind at all. I donât know where she is from, but she acts like rasist. Because English is my second language, Iâm not able to listen what she said at once. So I asked her to say her word again, and she raised her tone as she wanted to express her annoyance. I felt disrespectful from her attitude, and if I need to visit Verona again, Iâll find other accommodation even though all good points I mentioned at first.
I hope the manager recognize the situation and do sth.
AAnonymous UserVery disappointing experience with discriminatory attitude at the front desk.
We simply asked for an extra blanket, but the staff misunderstood us repeatedly, even after explaining three times.
Instead of helping, the receptionist made unnecessary and inappropriate comments about Chinese habits compared to Europe, saying things like âEuropeans donât change toothbrushes every dayâ and âthis is not how Europeans do thingsâ â we never asked for a toothbrush, only a blanket.
In the end, they only brought a duvet inner without a cover, still not understanding our request.
Location is fine, but the rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory service from front desk ruined the whole stay.
Not recommended.

KKa Ka BoyWe stayed three nights here. Hotel is conveniently located right next to the ferry station. Breakfast was good and has good variety. Probably the best hotel on the island until we received really bad service which lost all marks on our last morning of stay which Iâll elaborate later.
We had to catch the first flight and needed to have a quick breakfast before departure after our stay. Since we stayed there for three nights, we had breakfast and also dinned in their outlets throughout our stay, we were surprised the staff told us they donât have our records on the last morning, we are not seated for breakfast and had to wait for them, it would be better if we get seated to allow hotel to sort it out since we have to leave for our flights. Unfortunately the staff also told us âthey have hundreds of guest so itâs not possible to recognize usâ. âThere is no recordâ, and after waiting for over 10 min they came back and told us again âthere is no recordâ. I asked to sort out the matter with the manager and they just told us we can walk over to the counter while there is a long queue of guests. Without cutting the line I waited at the lobby. After the staff at the counter also did not follow up about the situation after the queue was cleared or apologize for the rude attitude. We left the hotel after they ruined our experience at Venice. The entire good experience was lost due to lack of hospitality service. Wouldnât recommend anyone to stay here, and it is a disgrace of the Hyatt brand.
