Unfortunately, I missed the opening time for the public bath, but I had a nice stay as I could see the castle from my room. The riverside location and free parking were also great. The staff at the hotel cafe were very kind and helpful.
The hotel is beautiful and the service is great. We were on a road trip and the free parking was a huge bonus – I'd really recommend this hotel if you're driving! The old man at the parking lot was so enthusiastic and helpful; we arrived very late, but he patiently helped us park and kept running around to assist. We felt so bad! As for the room, we had a quad room and it was incredibly spacious. It's definitely recommended for larger groups, and it even has a super big balcony.

The room was very clean and, for a Japanese hotel, a decent size. The location is absolutely superb, with the station and a department store right downstairs. It's convenient for getting anywhere. The overall facilities and hardware are great. However, when I tried to drop off my luggage before check-in, I encountered a Japanese man at the front desk who was noticeably rude to guests. He had narrow eyes, a slightly round face, wasn't too short, and had slicked-back hair. I'm not sure if it was intentional (in Japan, hotels are in the 'hospitality' industry, and trained staff usually wouldn't act that way; I've been to Japan numerous times and this is the first time someone returned my passport face down and upside down). Anyway, his Japanese was also delivered in a 'slow and deliberate' manner, almost sarcastically (imagine the tone of an 'eunuch' by the emperor's side in a palace). He completely lacked the professionalism expected in the service industry. When I officially checked in, it was a different story with an older Korean man who spoke Japanese; his attitude was completely different. I'd advise friends checking in to avoid that first individual. The cleaning staff I saw were all foreign workers and their attitude was excellent. Due to its great location and facilities, the hotel's business is surely doing well.
JR It is located next to Katsukawa Station on the Chuo Line and is conveniently located near the ticket gate.
There are not many restaurants near Katsukawa station and convenience stores are near the ticket gate of the station.
However, the supermarket (Max Value) is located at the station 1F and the ingredients can be bought cheaply.
The inside of the hotel is beautiful and calm. The room is large and relaxing.
Outside the window was the station, so I couldn't enjoy the scenery especially, but it was a perfect environment for business.
There is a wide variety of breakfast dishes, including both Japanese and Western cuisine! The hotel is conveniently located near a supermarket, making shopping, dining and watching movies very convenient! There are many restaurants to choose from!

The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the subway exit, right on the main road. It's very clean, and both the pillows and mattresses are really soft. It's also easy to get to the Rong business district. I even walked to the Crow Coffee, which appeared in 'Goro's Uncle,' in about fifteen minutes.

Ron Keke is the GOAT!!! The location is super convenient, and they provide all the toiletries you could ask for, including very practical facial cleansers and masks! For this price at this location, what more could you possibly want? Just go for Ron Keke, you won't regret it! The overall vibe is quite retro, but the room is a bit small. If you lay out two suitcases on the floor, you might not have much room to walk around.

Conveniently located yet quiet. The room was clean and tidy, with prompt daily housekeeping, making it a peaceful and cozy stay. Breakfast included unagi don (eel rice bowl), which was small but exquisite. The large public bath had long opening hours and even provided crowd status updates, which I truly appreciated! 👍

The Apartment Hotel 11 Nagoya was a very convenient stay. It was super clean and comfortable. It's a walk to the subway and a short walk to other spots. There's lots of stores and restaurants close to the hotel as well. We used the airport bus from Sakae station to Nagoya airport NGO and it was super convenient (cashless service). They also have a bus from the airport that stops at Nagoya Tokyu hotel, which will be even more convenient. Looking forward to the next stay in Nagoya.

BBoon Hong PohThe location was fantastic, check in was quick and smooth. We left our luggage at the counter as we arrived early. We stayed on Level 9. Our room was a room at the end of the aisle with two single beds and an additional foldable bed added. However, the room was not properly cleaned. There was visible dust on the surfaces on the ledge of the bed above our heads. The small bedside table was also covered with dust. As my daughter and I both have allergic reactions, it was bad for our noses and much sneezing ensued. I am deeply disappointed as I have come to expect top level cleanliness from Japanese hotels and so far, I have never been disappointed. This was by far my worst stay in a Japanese hotel.
TTravelbug9994The hotel's location is amazing. Direct access to the underground mall with plenty of eateries, shopping and groceries. Walk the underground mall directly to reach JR Gate Tower Mall with Bic Camera and Uniqlo /Gu. Not to mention very near to the train lines. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant during check in and check out. And they helped us to store our luggage for some last minute shopping.
JJackie choiYYThis hotel is located in a quiet area, with a car park right next to it. I appreciate the 500 yen parking voucher provided by the hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and able to answer all our questions. The hotel offers a bedrock bath and sauna for one complimentary use, but unfortunately, the times I wanted were fully booked, so I recommend booking early. The front desk also offers a variety of amenities, including skincare products and children's body wash, which is very comprehensive.
The room design is excellent! It has all sorts of facilities, and it's very convenient for storing belongings. The toilet has a heater, and the kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, coffee maker, and water purifier. The room's design concept is perfect for families, with enough space to accommodate two large suitcases.
MMavis Yu Ling ChiuOur family had an absolutely delightful stay at Dormy Inn Premium Nagoya Sakae. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. We did encounter a slight hiccup during check-in, as the hotel requested us to email our Trip.com check-in voucher for confirmation/arrangement, which caused a minor delay. However, this was quickly resolved, and it didn't detract from our overall experience.
A highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the complimentary nightly ramen, which quickly became a cherished ritual for us. The delicious, comforting bowls were the perfect end to our busy days exploring Nagoya. Even more remarkable was the hotel's fantastic onsen. After long hours of sightseeing and walking, immersing ourselves in the soothing hot springs was pure bliss. It truly melted away all our travel fatigue, leaving us refreshed and rejuvenated for the next day's adventures. The combination of superb amenities and thoughtful touches made our stay incredibly memorable. We highly recommend Dormy Inn Premium Nagoya Sakae for families seeking comfort, relaxation, and a taste of authentic Japanese hospitality.
GGuest UserExcellent value for over 1600. The front desk staff spoke good English and gave us a room with a view facing Legoland. The hotel facilities are very kid-friendly, and the restaurant serves food that children love. Don't forget to open the safe in your room – it comes with a bag of LEGO toys! For dining, I recommend the street behind the hotel, Maker's Pier, which offers a wide variety of choices. The hotel also has a children's pool where kids can play and even build their own life raft. Be sure to book in advance; reservations for the afternoon or evening slots open at 12 PM, and each session is 30 minutes long. There's also a small children's playground next to the restaurant.
YyouyuguitarLocated on an upper floor, this place doesn't quite feel like a traditional hotel. The multi-story parking garage was a bit inconvenient, as getting in and out was a hassle. However, there are plenty of convenience stores and eateries nearby, and it's only a 15-minute walk to Parco. The room had an odd angled layout, which was a bit strange. On the plus side, the service was good. Since there was only an escalator going up to the front desk, it was difficult to bring luggage down. The front desk staff impressively changed the elevator's direction for me – that was some seriously amazing service! 😅
HHedaxianlaThis was my second stay at this hotel because my first experience was so great. The night view is absolutely unbeatable, overlooking Nagoya. It's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining in the Sakae district; there's a brand new mall right downstairs with Montbell and Blue Bottle Coffee.
However, there was a small hiccup during this stay. I was suddenly woken up at 4 AM by the fire alarm and a loud broadcast announcement. It took a while before I could fall back asleep. The next day, I saw an explanation saying it was either a guest smoking or accidentally pressing the fire alarm in the elevator.
