We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, then left our luggage here while we spent a night at a hot spring hotel in Noboribetsu, before returning for another 2 nights.
The front desk staff were extremely thoughtful and helpful in storing our luggage and making all the arrangements smoothly.
We stayed in a triple room, which was said to be the largest available. However, for 3 people, it did feel a little bit small.
Unfortunately, the breakfast restaurant was closed for upgrade for a month, so we only had the chance to enjoy it once. That was a bit of a pity.
This hotel is super convenient! It's right across the street from JR Hakodate Station West Exit, literally a 2-3 minute walk. The Hakodate Morning Market (seafood market) is just 90 meters away. Plus, the bus terminal for all Hakodate buses is right in front of the station, so you can easily catch a direct bus to Goryokaku, the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway for night views, and the Motomachi Red Brick Warehouses.
The breakfast here has an amazing reputation, offering both Japanese and Western buffet options. And get this – they even serve red and white wine, sparkling wine, and ice cream for breakfast!
First of all the hotel size and location is reasonable. onsen is ok, the water can be hotter. It's very popular during evening times. There is only one washing machine so it's difficult to get a slot. Sleepwise is ok, there is a lack of moisturiser in the room. You have to get it at the reception, just saw the info when I was checking out. however at the end of my stay the overall service left a bad taste in my mouth.
I requested for my luggage to be delivered to the next hotel. However upon reaching the next hotel, only one of my luggage reached the location. When I wrote back asking the hotel. They pushed the responsibility back to me asking me to check with the delivery company instead. I am a foreigner in Japan. And being asked to check with a Japanese transport company of my missing luggage sent by the hotel. I can't communicate in Japanese. How am I supposed to talk to the transport company? For a country famed to be highly efficient in their delivery and service, my two luggage to be delivered turn out to only one and the hotel who delivered my luggage is not helping so ridiculous. This is a memorable stay for it in a bad way. I am tempted to leave every thing one star but I am not as unreasonable like this hotel service.
One of the best hotels in Sapporo, in my opinion! The self check-in and check-out process was quick and hassle-free. Having a FamilyMart inside the hotel and a Lawson right next door was incredibly convenient. Everything you need is just a few steps away, including shopping, dining, and transportation. The location is excellent, and the overall stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sapporo!
Very nice and comfortable hotel. After a long flight, we were happy to say we had a very very good sleep. We only woke up at 5.14am thinking we overslept but Hokkaido summer is here and sunrise is around 4am!
We love the Onsen and its cleanliness. The staff were helpful and attentive. They sent us extra pillows very quickly.
This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the JR station. Use the north exit - you'll only see the North Exit sign when you exit either East or West ticket gates. We had to find the sign and even the staff gave us the wrong information!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers a beautiful view of Nakajima Park, which looked especially stunning during the snowfall. I would recommend this hotel
The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and spacious, allowing us to open two suitcases simultaneously. The hotel's location is super convenient, with direct access to both the subway and JR lines. It's perfect for shopping, with department stores and convenience stores nearby. The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise; I chose the French Toast with bacon, and the sweet and savory combination was just right. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next time.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It's very close to Sapporo Station, just a three to five-minute walk, which makes going out for food and shopping incredibly convenient. I guess because of Sapporo's weather, you can access many places underground. Once you get familiar with it, you'll find yourself using the underground passages for all your shopping and dining needs. On the day we left, there was a blizzard, and being so close to Sapporo Station was a huge help; otherwise, we definitely would have missed our flight. The cleanliness was good, and the onsen (hot spring bath) area was also clean. Overall, it was very convenient and comfortable.

This hotel is super convenient, just three meters from Exit 24 of Odori Station. It even offers views of the Sapporo Clock Tower from the smoking area on the second floor or the rooftop terrace!
The rooms are quite spacious, definitely bigger than what you'd typically find in Tokyo or Osaka. They even come equipped with a sound system and record player, which is a really cool and unique touch!
Location-wise, it's excellent for transport and dining. You can easily access the surrounding areas via the Odori Station underground passage, so even in snowy weather, getting around is a breeze.
Check-in is done using self-service machines, and the lobby is on the second floor, with a breakfast restaurant and bar on the first.

LLiduoxiliaolinuolisiI'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!
GGuest UserLoved that the hotel allows guests with tattoo to use the onsen though this wasn’t made known explicitly with written signs. Hotel was located at the end of Tanukoji so it’s a distance from the main area although still walkable.
Note that the bathroom doesn’t have a space to put your dry clothes and you will have to wear it outside unless you do not mind the bottom of your pants getting wet. Not very convenient for mix gender groups even though there’s a blind you can draw but still be visible from the mirror reflection. Room was located in the annex building which has alot of stairs so not that convenient for elderlies too. Overall, decent hotel but recommended only if you have no issues walking or are driving.
HHunhundidiI stayed in a standard room. It was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Although this room type didn't have a bathtub, the hotel's onsen (hot spring) was more than enough to enjoy. It was easily accessible and never too crowded, so I could really relax. The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, about a five-minute walk, and there's a convenience store within five minutes, which is handy. They also offer a free shuttle bus to various Hakodate attractions, which was incredibly convenient.
Service: I arrived very late, but the front desk staff were still incredibly warm and welcoming, providing lots of helpful tips and information.
Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came to clean it every day.
GGuest UserI absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious.
The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world.
The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.
BB.V.For us it is the second time in this wonderful hotel and every time it is like living a dream: it feels like being in a bubble thanks to all the well-being in which you are immersed. You are pampered by every service present and by the kindness of the staff, which makes you feel at home. The food is simply divine and you would just like to have a more spacious stomach so you could taste more and more. Nature is unsurpassed, every day you find yourself meeting spectacular creatures even just going out a short distance away. You will not find a similar place in all of Japan, where man meets nature in a perfect combination of balance, harmony and deep respect. We hope to be able to return a third time and relive this beautiful dream again. Thank you for everything Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel!
GGuest UserThis was the best hotel of our trip. From check-in to check-out, we felt the warmth and saw the smiles of the staff throughout. The included dinner was delicious and exquisite. The set breakfast was also pretty good. The hotel offers a variety of entertainment activities and facilities, so you won't get bored at all, and the environment is beautiful. The only downside is that the soundproofing isn't great; you can hear doors opening and closing from upstairs and next door.
GGuest UserBoth the public areas and the room were impeccably clean, making for a very pleasant stay. The lobby and areas in front of the elevators had a subtle, comforting scent, creating a truly comfortable atmosphere.
Having a convenience store and a drug store right across the street was incredibly handy.
The staff were all very attentive and polite, which was much appreciated. This is definitely a hotel I'd want to stay at again.
KKunjinkaozhiyaoyaoEverything was great, except for the slightly hard slippers. The crab with ponzu sauce for dinner and the sweet shrimp for breakfast were absolutely delicious! After a soak in the hot spring, my skin felt so smooth. They had a wide variety of shampoos, mostly Pola, and also a hot spring water hair conditioner. I liked it so much I bought it directly from the hotel shop, it was even cheaper than Taobao resellers. Some of the hotel's little decorations were really cute. You can ask the front desk to book a free shuttle to the bear farm.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a 12-minute walk (straight line) from West exit of Hakodate JR Station. If you choose to take a cab, it's only a 2-minute drive. The airport limousine bus stop is just a minute away from the side entrance of the main tower.
The hotel has a main tower and a premium tower. They offer welcome drink snack. There are 2 restaurants, a sauna, a vending machine and a convenience store on the ground floor. Free onsen is available to guests from either tower.
GGuest UserOverall, it was great! The hotel is very new, and the amenities, which include Pola products, a folding comb, and cotton pads, are self-service. The hot spring has hot, cold, and outdoor pools, and the pajamas are really thick and cozy.
The family room was perfect for our family of four. However, probably because it was the off-season, breakfast only offered Japanese, Western, and vegetarian options. We stayed for eight nights and had the exact same breakfast eight times... though it was delicious, haha!
