Hannahtran2608I booked the hotel because I wanted to stay close to Buddha Stupa in Boudhanath and this is by far my best experience in Kathmandu. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Stupa, but very quiet and private. There is an old monastery inside the hotel, and part of the profit from the hotel goes to support the monks in monastery. Morning yoga session is 8am to 9am led by a monk, but I always slept in so couldn’t make it (my fault!). Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the puri with potatoes and beans fillings. The hotel manager and staffs are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you all, it’s been a great experience staying Hotel Dolmaling. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nepal!

Guest UserThe staff here is incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. They offer free luggage storage and drop-off services at the airport. Even when I was about to take off, they wished me good luck with a small scarf. I highly recommend staying here. I think I’ll be staying here again when I travel to Kathmandu next time.

The location is good. You can go shopping downstairs. It is not far from the airport (Nepal's transportation is not that fast, so it takes about half an hour). It is a very good hotel for the local area, equivalent to the domestic Four Seasons or Kaiyuan Hotel

Guest UserI had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel during my visit to Kathmandu.
The property is beautiful and full of character, making it an excellent choice for travelers who appreciate traditional Nepali architecture and culture. The hotel has done a wonderful job preserving its heritage charm, creating a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that feels very different from a typical modern hotel.
As an eco-friendly property, the hotel does not provide air conditioning or a refrigerator in the rooms. However, I did not find this to be an issue at all, as the weather was pleasant and comfortable throughout my stay.
The staff were outstanding. Everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, always greeting guests with a smile and making me feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Breakfast was simple and fairly standard, without a huge variety of choices, but everything was fresh and enjoyable. The yogurt, in particular, was excellent and definitely worth trying.
There was only one minor issue in my room: the ceiling fan seemed to run at the same speed regardless of the setting, so even the lowest level felt quite strong. I never mentioned it to the front desk because it was not a major inconvenience.
The biggest area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, the signal was quite weak and unreliable, especially for anyone who needs a stable internet connection for work or communication.
Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beautiful traditional design, eco-conscious concept, relaxing atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality more than made up for the small inconveniences. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic Nepali experience in

Bernard VoonThe hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy.
The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped.
The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try.
Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

karen sweeWe had a very very pleasant stay at Tulsi Kathmandu. Gave it a try since it's new and booked at a really good price. Room and toilets were very huge and clean. The food were superb and the ambience everywhere were warm and cosy.
Special thank you to the hotel staff, Chhabi for changing the room for us so it's side by side. He is also super friendly, followed by the security guards and other restraunt staff as well.
Will definitely come back again. Dhanyabad :)m

Guest UserLakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. Very satisfied with Lakhey Hotel service. Best of luck to the team—hope to see you again!”**

A great hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in a national style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The panoramic restaurant on the 7th floor is fantastic – delicious food with a diverse breakfast buffet and an extensive menu for other meals, including both local and European dishes. The hotel also has a very good spa, though it doesn't operate late into the evening. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable.
Highly recommend.

The hotel offers an airport pick-up service (fee: 20 USD), which requires one day's advance notice. It's about a 15-minute drive from the airport.
The hotel lobby is bright and spacious, and the front desk staff are polite. The room matched the pictures, with plenty of space and wooden furniture, giving it a warm feel. The bathroom was clean, and while the shower pressure was a bit weak, it was acceptable. Breakfast is served from 7-10 AM, and it's a buffet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, convenient for vegetarians.
The hotel's service is truly excellent. If you have any issues, just ask, and the staff are very happy to help and are proactively attentive.
