GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room.
The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into *******. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered ******* again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from *******. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger.
My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. The morning sun was too strong from one window so I used a chair to prop open the curtains on the other window. 4. There is a lack of foreign programming on the television. Other hotel chains that I use have a free English movie station like HBO or Cine-Max. I travel with a USB stick that has some movies saved on it in case the hotel does not offer such programming. However, the original TV remote is not supplied in the room and there is no way to change the TV input from their satellite box to the USB port. I did not have my laptop with me. I inquired with Sally at the front desk but there was nothing that she could do. There was an option to order pay per view movies. 5. The next problem is my error. I put the paper do not disturb sign on the door. I did not realize that there was also a button on the light switch that turns on a green light outside of the door when you want the room cleaned. I accidentally turned on the light. The maid walked in on me without knocking first. She was very kind and apologetic.
I did not use all hotel amenities. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant.
I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.

TTengdashuaiThis is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a positive review for a hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the balcony offered a stunning view. Breakfast was diverse, with a wide selection of both Chinese and Western options; the Chinese cuisine, in particular, was excellent. But what truly stood out was the hotel's exceptional service. They offered a complimentary private car service for pick-up and drop-off to the hotel. They even arranged tailored pick-up and drop-off services for our subsequent trip to Huangshan and thoughtfully provided us with raincoats and hiking poles. Overall, it was an absolutely perfect stay!

[Location] The location of the B&B is easy to find according to the navigation. It is in the village but very quiet and hidden in the wild. It is recommended to rent a car and drive by yourself.
[Environment] The whole environment is very good. I like the architectural design and materials, and the quality of the supplies is also very high. There is a small door in the B&B. You can see a small stream when you walk down. It is very good. You will feel much better after walking!
[Facilities] The hotel also has hot springs, which require reservations and the staff will prepare them. The hot springs are soaked in each room, and the privacy is very good.
The B&B has its own restaurant. I had a dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast set that came with the room. The breakfast was a set meal, which was very rich and satisfying!
[Service] I drank the tea brewed by the boss in the lobby. The tea I planted in front of the house + the mountain spring water drained from the mountain! The boss and the staff here are very nice. I have been recommending it to my friends during my stay.

Cece was incredibly responsive and always on top of things, even more so than us when we encountered any issues. It's truly reassuring to have such a reliable concierge when you're traveling. GGLORY-WUThe room facilities are complete, relatively new and easy to use; the room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is clean and hygienic with no odor; the hotel environment inside and outside is good, there is a dedicated parking lot in the backyard, there are many restaurants nearby, and it is close to attractions, Renmin Road, and Daobashi Street; the service is warm and thoughtful, and the introductions are thorough.

MMingjingtaitiThe hotel offers shared rides to and from the high-speed rail station, costing 35 RMB per person during the day and 40 RMB at night. We weren't aware of this beforehand and ended up paying 140 RMB for a taxi from the North High-Speed Rail Station. There's a decent restaurant nearby that offers an 8.5% discount for hotel guests. The hotel staff were very warm and attentive; they even upgraded us to a family room for free. When the screen mirroring in the room was a bit spotty, the staff promptly helped resolve the issue. They also quickly sent an auntie (staff member) when we needed assistance. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to the scenic area entrance, and the driver was incredibly friendly – highly recommend! What's more, before I even checked in, they reached out to ask about my needs and arranged a carpooling service for us. So, after arriving at Huangshan North by high-speed train, we were able to carpool directly to the hotel, which was absolutely brilliant! The hotel is clean, hygienic, and wonderfully quiet. The breakfast was also good, making this hotel truly worthwhile and a trip well spent!!

2270057****Staying at Banyan Tree Huangshan met all my expectations. Stepping out onto the balcony, I was greeted by cascading mountain views. When the mist rolled in, it felt like I was living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. Our butler, Felix, provided excellent and attentive service. The breakfast was quite tasty; while the variety wasn't extensive, the dishes were well-prepared and refined. The hotel's Huizhou-style architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, creating a peaceful and healing atmosphere. Next time I visit Huangshan, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

An older gentleman, impeccably dressed in a trench coat, courteously opened the car door for us right at the hotel entrance.
An unexpected room upgrade led to a delightful encounter with the ever-changing Swan Lake.
During breakfast, there was no chaotic crowd; just a wide array of cuisines from around the world, enjoyed by a pleasant window, providing a long-lost sense of relaxation.
The perfect room was the biggest surprise this hotel offered. Its thoughtful setup and meticulous maintenance made me feel cared for and at ease, allowing me to enjoy two comfortable bath times and two nights of peaceful sleep.
The attention to detail was exceptional; I'd give it a perfect score without hesitation.

GGuest UserIt locates near the lake, so there's awesome and gorgeous view. I can see very beautiful lake on the balcony in my room. There are several big hotels around the lake. This Novotel has the best lake view.
The distance to the Chaohu Lake is not far. Renting a car is the best choice. This location is nearly the edge of service areas of the shared electric bicycles.
There are many merchants near this Novotel. It's very convenient to buy food and daily supplies.
It's really an unforgettable travel. Next time I would select this Novotel again.
