🛋 Facilities: It's definitely an older hotel, and you can see signs of wear and tear, so be cautious if that bothers you. The room can get a bit hot at night!
🛀 Bathing: You can ask the hotel for a disposable bathtub liner, which is very reassuring. After a bath, close the curtains and you can have a good night's sleep.
💡 Summary: For this window view, I'd be willing to come again. The facilities may be old, but the service is excellent, and the scenery is priceless.

GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel's facilities are quite comprehensive. First off, the room size is really good. Stepping into the room, it feels very cozy.
Hygiene: The bathroom was also cleaned very thoroughly, spotless and tidy.
Environment: The service is exceptional. Check-in at the front desk was super fast, which is exactly what you need when traveling – to get to your room and relax quickly. Everything felt much more comfortable because of it.
Service: They even provided complimentary snacks.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent; right outside, you can catch buses to destinations like Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the airport, the train station, and Xuanquanzi Scenic Area.
The hotel interior is also quite new, and the bedding is good.
Downsides: The water wasn't hot enough. They required a 30 RMB deposit for each room key card, which is something I haven't seen in years. For such a large hotel, it felt really petty.
The front desk service wasn't bad, but it felt a bit forced and uncomfortable. I don't know why, but they barely smiled, which made me wonder if the management was mistreating them? It just made for an uncomfortable experience.
They offer a station drop-off service, which I initially thought was a nice perk. However, the communication was unclear, and I wasn't sure if the car was even there. When you're traveling in an unfamiliar place and have a train to catch, punctuality is crucial. No one could give me a clear answer. In the end, I had to repeatedly press the front desk in the morning before they could confirm. It left a very bad impression; the entire management seems to have issues.

GGuest UserZhongzhou Hotel is, without a doubt, the best hotel I've stayed at in years regarding service. Every single staff member, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, proactively greeted us, helped with the elevator, and even assisted with our luggage. They were incredibly generous with bottled water in the room, providing plenty. In the afternoon, we even received two complimentary bowls of mixed noodles, which was a lifesaver for us after a day of sightseeing and heading to the 'Meet Dunhuang Again' show that evening. It meant we didn't have to rush to find dinner. The breakfast buffet was also very extensive and delicious. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel also offers a self-service laundry and drying room, showcasing their thoughtful service. On top of that, they provided a free airport pick-up. We also booked tickets for the 'Meet Dunhuang Again' show through the hotel, which not only saved us 30 RMB per ticket but also included pick-up and drop-off, so we didn't have to worry about finding a taxi after the show. Next time I visit Dunhuang, I will definitely book Zhongzhou again.

KKeng TWe stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

MM17446****The front desk lady was beautiful and the service was excellent. I even got an upgrade to a larger room. The hotel's facilities and cleanliness were excellent. The breakfast was especially noteworthy, the best I've had on my trip to Northwest China. They had delicious dishes like salmon, boiled shrimp, and durian pastry. The video below was taken after our meal, and it was incredibly filling. I highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Jiayuguan.

GGuest UserThe biggest surprise during this stay was definitely the hotel's gym and laundry room – they truly elevated convenience to another level! The gym was fully equipped with everything you could need – treadmills, dumbbells, elliptical machines, etc. – and the space was clean and bright. Getting in a quick 30-minute workout before heading out each day left me feeling incredibly energized. The laundry room was a real lifesaver! Not only did it have automatic washing machines, but also dryers and even laundry detergent. My clothes came out soft and fresh after drying, meaning I no longer had to travel with a bag full of dirty laundry. On top of that, the room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the front desk service was incredibly attentive. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The breakfast was also very good, and the hotel was in a good location. It was very cheap to take a taxi. It was very close to Shazhou Night Market and Crescent Moon Lake, and it only cost 5 yuan to get to the night market. 1. The hotel is conveniently located, only 15-20 minutes drive from the airport, which is a blessing for passengers on early and late flights, without worrying about the traffic problem of catching the plane;
2. The service at the front desk is considerate and warm, Miaomiao is warm and thoughtful and takes the initiative to greet, and the communication is pleasant😃
3. The room is large and clean, and it is very comfortable to live in, which adds a lot to this trip.
Overall, this hotel is not only in a great location, but also has a good service. It is highly recommended to friends who need to catch a flight and pursue comfortable accommodation!

AAnonymous UserI stayed at this hotel for two nights, so I thought I'd share my review. I had very high expectations before coming, as there were many positive reviews and recommendations online. Perhaps my high expectations led to a big disappointment. First, let me mention the good points: there's a pick-up service, although there was no welcome tea in the car as some mentioned, but that's fine; the room was quite large; there was plenty of water and two drinks in the room; you can order room service without an extra charge; and when I asked about laundry, the staff member said I could do it myself or they could do it for me. They seemed a bit reluctant but did help me in the end, haha.
Now for the negatives: first, the room. The first room I was given wasn't warm, noticeably not warm. When I called a staff member, they said it was because I had turned on the air conditioning. I was speechless at that point – I only turned on the A/C because it was cold, and I had it on for less than five minutes. I don't appreciate staff immediately blaming the customer. They then moved me to another room, which was very noisy as it faced the road. Firecrackers were going off from midnight until before 6 AM, which was quite startling.
Next, the food. Breakfast can only be described as poor; it barely felt like a buffet, with very few options and not very tasty. If you ordered lunch or dinner, the staff would ignore you if you were alone. I sat there for a long time and had to call a staff member three times before someone finally took my order. The Mala Tang was good, but the hand-grabbed lamb was very *****, and the fried shrimp was sweet, which was a strange combination.
Regarding the service: I read online that the service was excellent, but I didn't really experience that. There was a foot bath tub, but the water in the kettle was cold. When I changed rooms, I had to carry my own luggage while the staff member just watched. They mentioned a 'good night milk' service, but I didn't get it on the first night; I had to call for it myself on the second night. When I felt unwell and asked the front desk where a hospital was, feeling very dizzy, the staff member seemed quite indifferent, saying they weren't sure if it was open or not. I didn't experience the warmth and enthusiasm that many reviews mentioned.
This hotel was one I had been eyeing for a while. I couldn't book it initially during the Chinese New Year, but then I managed to, which made me quite happy and expectant. Overall, if you treat it like a chain hotel, the service is okay, and they'll wash your clothes. But if you're coming specifically for the service, don't have high expectations – no expectations means less disappointment. The price is still higher than other hotels in Zhangye. Honestly, it's far worse than the one I stayed at in Dunhuang. One more thing I forgot to mention: the toothbrush was terrible, truly terrible, with bristles that poked my mouth.
