Steinberger has three main problems. One is that it is diffuclt to find. There is no sign a the tinted black rolling glass doors, så you would not know that this is actually a hotel (later we found out that there is a sign 12 meters up in the air, where nobody can see from street level. Second problem is the layout of the building: you have to change elevator on third floor to go further up - very confusing. Third issue is charching of electric car. I had booked beforehand and recieved a token to open for electricty. But when I came to the basemanet car park I found that another car was occupying the only (!) charger. I was explained that this was also used by the shopping centre. In that case you cannot reserve for clients. Even more aburd was the fact that I was told a price of 5 Euro, but whnén I told that car was a Tesla the price was 12 Euro. Why electricy for a cetrain brand is more expensive that for other brands is just incomprehensible. Roons are quite small and there is no electric cooker. At 170 Euro per night ii is very overpriced.

Beautifully located, close to the center (20 minutes walk). Comfortable, large building, parking. Large, comfortable rooms equipped with water heater! Large, clean bathroom . Very comfortable, large bed. Very diverse breakfast buffet and delicious coffee (very important for us). Nice service in reception and restaurant. I recommend!

This is a wonderful hotel. The standard room looks like a luxury compared to competitors. You can feel like an important person. On the respiratory they speak different languages. Also provide a travel ticket for all the time staying at the hotel. Great breakfast.

Great location, literally 2 minutes on foot to the Erfurt Cathedral. Great breakfast, good variety, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The room itself is not what one will expect from a 4-stars-hotel. Absolutely uncomfortable, cold, old furniture which doesn't suit to such a hotel. Horribly noisy, basically you can hear your neighbours, awful! Not to mention the old noisy a/c! No coffee maker or at least a kettle in the room! Instead you're kindly asked to go to the reception and buy coffee or any drinks from the vending machine. And please, people, check the tissues package! If there are only several tissues left, then you'd better change the whole package instead of waiting till it's empty...or am I wrong?! During my next trip to Erfurt I will definitely try another hotel to compare it, this one gets from me the lowest possible mark!

Facilities: The design of the hotel is outstanding and there is no doubt. Modern sense, endless opposite wall glass, bathroom floor heating, and ubiquitous tips labels. The only downside is that there is no minibar. Hygienic: Very good, the overall feeling is very clean. Environment: Although next to the train station, there are still fewer choices for dining and shopping. And consumption is expensive. Eating 30 to 40 euros. Service: It is far from the intentions of the hotel design! The advantages of design give the waiter a superiority and generate a sense of service. For example, when checking in, customers have been in a long queue, two front desks are slowly leisurely, and the other person stops directly, picks up the phone porridge, and lets the customer wait.

The location is in the center of the town and the environment is good. The room is considered big in Europe.

Short-term visit in Jena booked on short notice. Hotel fully booked, received a room-update to junior suite - very nice and convenient. Cleaningness was very good, drinks in the room not available to to covid-situation. Breakfast buffet is outstanding.

I checked in at 7.4.23 15.00 online at the hotel. After entering my room, I had to notice that this was not particularly cleaned. In the bathroom and also the tape floor, dental cleaning cups missed. I told me at the reception which gave and reported for cleaning, she said tomorrow morning it will be cleaned then. The weaknesses toilet, bathroom and tape floor were not even so cleaned. The roller holder must not have been cleaned for ever. Drink still on the screwing of the toilet cover. On 9.4. 23 my room was not cleaned, and the beds were not made. Handtucks were not changed. Handle and bathtub were missing. If I didn't sleep like that. Dental cleaning cups were missing again. Then I picked up a tea at the automation and took this cup because the reception was not present, although up to 20.00 there was. Maybe a shoe suit would be fit. The breakfast offer was plenty and very good,it doesn't miss anything. There is something for every guest. The breakfast room is very small, I know other B&B hotels that offer more room and you can stay outside the breakfast times.

I have around 80 to 100 hotel nights each year, worldwide. The IBIS Jena City Hotel met my requirements, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was basic compared to higher priced hotels but there was enough choice of fresh food. This was the first hotel I can remember where I did not have to spend the first few minutes unplugging appliances or covering things up to make the room dark at night; even the TV had no standby light! Why do some hotels have a brightly lit alarm clock display by the bed, I just pull the plug, I have a mobile. Wi-Fi was also good and free. I don't need more in a hotel than this and the lack of annoying lights in the room was positively refreshing.

According to positive recommendation become guest. Lobby interior with good impression. Frontdesk female, unfriendly without smiles, without welcome greetings. Prepayment is required, be so common in the house.... The alternative reception team of a play student and a young Russian made the bad first impression on the following day. No baggage help. Room small, to the courtyard, over a firearm parquet, partly with persistent tape coating. Putting door is continuously open. TV - device with too small screen size. Rooms charm of the 1980s. Bathroom unacceptably small, almost no deposit areas. Wi-Fi there, but only at a certain location in the room outside the bed. Room good, breakfast best, rich. Individual chairs in the room show no dressing and broken seats under the consumed connection. Eating good, friendly service with insufficient wine advice. Fee for the courtyard parking 6€/d. Previously at a cheaper price in the

a very nice hotel, in the center of Weimar. Polite and helpful staff. Room was splendid, Breakfast was great. I hope I’ll come back one day. and they have these little cards with quotes from Goethe, Schiller, etc. it‘s a nice touch. there‘s no room service

The young lady at the front desk is very nice. Maybe because there are not too many people in the off-season, we changed a bigger room. It seems to be a family room. There is a small bed at the foot of the double bed. The view is very good. It is located at the corner of the building at the end of the corridor. I can see the city center and I can see the castle. The location of the hotel is invincible, out of the right side of the train station, you can see it when you look up. Breakfast is a typical Western style, it is different from person to person, but the view is still very good, sitting at the window can overlook the castle, bow down is the train station in and out of the crowd, I feel quite interesting. Next time, if I have another chance to come to Yanbao, I might choose this hotel.

Old school wäre ein Kompliment, trifft aber den Status nur bedingt. Der Teil des Dorint in dem unser Zimmer war, ist in die Jahre gekommen, Renovierungs- und/oder Instandhaltungs-Stau im Zimmer. Einrichtung der Zimmer nicht mehr zeitgemäß. TV eine Zumutung. Das Hotel war fully booked, umziehen in ein anders Zimmer somit nicht möglich. Auf eine Mail nach der Reservierungsbestätigung mit Wünschen zum Zimmer, hatte es keine Reaktion gegeben. Lage des Zimmers bescheiden. Bei der freundlichen Begrüßung an der Rezeption keine Hinweise zu Spa , Restaurants, Frühstückszeiten etc. Einen schlechten Tag kann jeder mal haben. Aber auch im Zimmer keinerlei Info. Sehr kleines Bad, sehr sauber, kein Badetuch vor der Dusche. Minibar minimalistisch bestückt, eine Preisliste liegt nicht aus. Am ersten Abend sind gegen 18 Uhr an der Bar nur 2 Gäste und ein Barmann. Ein nicht abgeräumter Tisch interessiert ihn nicht, wir als neue Gäste auch nicht. Er sortiert hinter der Bar von A nach B. Fährt dann mit einem „Servierwagen“ Leergut weg. Zurück an der Bar, Bestandspflege von Gläsern und Flaschen. Und erst danach kommt er zu uns und fragt nach der Bestellung. Den gewünschten Gin-Tonic serviert er wie einen Cocktail, alles in einem Glas, nach Reklamation serviert er Gin und Tonic getrennt. Am späteren Abend, gleicher Ort, gleicher Barmann, sehr viele Gäste. Man muss ein paar Minuten auf die Getränke warten, kein Problem. Sein Service ist jetzt, mit einer Ausnahme, besser, sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Aber, meine Frau bestellte einen zweiten „Brandy Alexander“, der Barmann nimmt das Glas meiner Frau von der Theke, kippt den kleinen Rest, ein „Brandy Alexander“ beinhaltet Sahne, Reste im Glas kleben also, weg, spült mit kaltem Wasser das Glas aus kühlt es mit Eiswürfel und befüllt es neu. Unfassbar! Ein zweiter Barmann kommt dazu, Begrüßung der Gäste an der Theke? Fehlanzeige. Abfrage zu Bestellungen? Fehlanzeige, statt dessen zeigt er mit ausgestrecktem Zeigefinger auf einen Gast der ohne Drink wartet und signalisiert auf diese Art, dass der Gast bestellen „darf“, unglaublich! Ein Gast neben mir registriert diese Szene, zuckt mit den Schultern und sagt: „Tagungshotel!“ Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist sehr gut, der Service auch. Wir nahmen an einem frisch eingedeckten Tisch Platz. Der Tisch hatte noch klebrige Ränder von vorher dort Abgestelltem. An Nachbartischen wurde abgeräumt, der Tisch wurde, um die Tischsets herum, mehr schlecht als recht gewischt, ebenso die Sets selber. Mit dem gleichen Lappen, der könnte ja Speisereste aufgenommen haben, fettig oder klebrig sein, wurden dann die Sitzflächen der Stühle abgewischt. Aufgrund der in 1 1/2 Tagen gemachten Erfahrungen, haben wir eine in Erwägung gezogene Verlängerung des Aufenthalts nicht umgesetzt.

This hotel is really somewhere special. From the minute we arrived to leaving we experienced extremely professional, friendly service. The lovely young lady at reception, the smiling, friendly bar man and the lady at breakfast were especially kind and helpful. I wish I had taken note of their names. The hotel itself is really beautiful, wonderfully maintained, and located on scenic Marktplatz in the heart of Weimar. Our brief visit was so memorable and we can't wait to return some day. Ill firever remember a wonderful breakfast on their outdoor terrace! Treat yourselves and stay there.

Given the price paid, the value was unbeatable. Yes, the property is not the newest, but it is clean and well maintained. Furniture somewhat worn but functional. The comfortable bed which had a quality mattress was a pleasant surprise. Balcony had a nice view. Of course, there is room for improvement, but at 63EUR including breakfast, it was beyond my expectations.

nice hotel. everything is provided. Food is very good. Rooms are a little passed, but still ok. Bath and shower. Very friendly! the picture of there hotel is not in every room like that :). very near the highway , so that's cerainly a plus point.

The hotel is a little outside Weimar. Through a small Holperstein road comes closer to its destination. Parking are directly at the house incl. currently 1 cargo station. Our room - with small sauna - (we have once made something) was beautifully large. A living area with sofa (such as double bed) and a bedroom. A large bathroom including the small sauna, shower and “sitting bathtub”. Also there was a walkable box, in which the bags and bags also beauty to find place. Unfortunately the minibar was empty. Breakfast was fine. Corona-related there were 3 times: 7, 8 and 9 a.m. The house is a little rounded and has a chair, but also a stairway from the 2nd floor to breakfast and dinner. We haven't tested the wellness area because we had a sauna for us. The team of the house is really very careful and service-oriented. Be it the ladies from the room cleaning service or the gastronomy area.

Staff were very pleasant but there was very little English spoken. As in many hotels we stayed in Germany, there was only one black tea bag in a double room meant for two people! Very strange. One thing to note for all guests is regards to the safe. I could not work out how to key-in my own personal code number to lock/unlock the safe, so I went to reception and they gave me a slip of paper with a four digit code on it. I said that I wanted to enter my own (secret) number and was told that this could not be done! I argued that it should be possible to key in my own code but they said that I could not. I was not happy but had to accept it. Later I remembered a safe in another hotel where you could change the code by pressing a reset button on the inside edge of the door toward the hinge. I tried this and it worked. When I Checked out I left them with a written instruction in German (using an online translator) on how to change the code.

We stayed in this hotel on two separate nights bookending a trip to Frankfurt. This hotel is not - in our experience - typical of the Mercure brand. Far too often Mercure's are in good locations but somewhat rundown, tired and in need of attention. This is quite the opposite. It appears to have been wholly refurbished in the last five years, it is looked after. The hotel is conveniently situated near to both the old town and the main, new shopping area, both being no more than five minutes walk away. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the railway station or (for us) a €10 taxi ride. There is paid for car parking if required. This is a deceptively large hotel, the short frontage belies the fact that it has 141 rooms. The hotel stretches back from its frontage - we felt it was long and not very wide. It is spread over four floors and possibly an attic. We were on the fourth floor for our first visit and on the first floor for the second. Entry into the hotel from the street leads to a small reception area with ottoman seating. Screened from reception is a small bar and another soft seating area. The bar had elusive opening times - but seemed not to operate before 18:00 hours. Service was good. There is a restaurant that is not the breakfast room but that was not open during our stay with no sign of opening on the horizon. All public areas were clean, tidy and well maintained, albeit with a Alpine overtone! Access to the upper floors is via dedicated lifts or stairs depending upon the location of the room, with some rooms there is quite a walk to the lift. There is a small garden and paved area with seating. We saw no specific provision for disabled access but believe that the hotel is easy enough to negotiate. There is a separate breakfast room which works very well albeit it is not large. It is at the furthest end of the hotel from reception and bypasses some of the meeting rooms. Whilst these rooms were used during our stays we experienced no difficulties. We took breakfast early and the restaurant was never full or cramped. Breakfast is generous but prettty standard continental fare. Our first room (413) was a standard room and disappointing although it was clean and well cared for. Our second room however (136) was an upgrade and provided exceptional space and comfort for a reasonable price. Had we been able to satisfactorily understand the room descriptions and attributes on the website a room such as 136 would have been our preference. It had a large and comfortable double bed, a small seating area with table, a separate desk along with the usual accessories of a safe, TV, wifi etc. We didn't try the TV but everything else worked. There is no aircon but there is very effective radiator heating. We can imagine that opening the windows for some rooms would produce a great deal of street noise, but both our rooms were towards the rear of the hotel and quiet. Hallo, Ich bin nicht der wählerischste Hotelbesucher und beschwere mich nie über den Service, auch wenn es einen Grund dafür gibt, aber hier möchte ich an alle möglichen Dienste appellieren, Ihr Hotel zu schließen, da es einfach gefährlich ist! 1. Ich kam nach zwei Nächten in diesem Hotel nach Hause und musste feststellen, dass ich von Bettwanzen gebissen worden war - und ich reagiere schwer allergisch auf die Bisse. Ich weiß mit Sicherheit, dass es in Ihrem Hotel passiert ist, und ich habe die Bestätigung vom Arzt, dass es Bettwanzen waren. Ich bin jetzt sehr besorgt, dass meine Wohnung befallen ist, ich wasche jetzt meine Kleidung und habe eine Ausräucherung der Wohnung angeordnet! 2. Nachdem ich eine Buchung und Zahlung auf der Website vorgenommen hatte, wurde meine Karte belastet. Und am nächsten Tag haben sie versucht, mich zum zweiten Mal zu belasten. Am Ende teilte mir das Hotel mit, dass die erste Abbuchung falsch war und ich die Angelegenheit selbst mit der Bank klären muss, und bat mich, die Unterkunft vor Ort erneut zu bezahlen.

We were at 13.10.23 in the hotel for two nights. We chose the hotel because the experiences in Tuttlingen in the same hotel chain were very positive. Unfortunately, I cannot affirm that from Erfurt. The hotel is conveniently located with tram connection about 4 km outside the centre. The rooms are relatively small and there is no separate bathroom and toilet. For two days the room size is just enough, but there is no barrier. The service is very unmotivated. You can notice this already at check-in. In the restaurant you need to expect very long waiting times and also at the bar it is only very slowly moving forward. We just wanted to drink a beer in the evening and we waited for our drink over 45 minutes. Inadmissible for a four-star hotel. Although the rooms are not cleaned at weekend as we have been told, the sauna is not also available from 10:00 to 15:00 because the staff are needed to clean the room. All in all, the hotel is very expensive with the overnight price, especially since the service is incredibly restricted. We will not decide again for this hotel in Erfurt.
