The location is a bit off the beaten path, making it ideal for self-driving tourists. Due to its proximity to nature, you might occasionally encounter a few insects in the rooms, but the hotel is generally clean and well-maintained. It boasts a wide array of recreational facilities, along with services such as restaurants, hot springs, and massages. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for money, so you can easily spend a full and enjoyable vacation without leaving the hotel. I highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing getaway!

Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street by IHG

This hotel boasts a wonderful location in a picturesque part of the city, right next to Glover Garden. It's the only hotel here, and it's truly magnificent. Housed in a meticulously restored historic building, it features modern amenities and offers stunning bay views. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and pleasant strolls around the area is here. The rooms are spacious with luxurious interiors and comfortable beds. Every detail has been thought of, from the coffee machine and bathrobes to all the toiletries. Getting here might be a bit of a trek, as the hotel is on a hill, about a 10-15 minute uphill walk from public transport stops. However, this is more than compensated for by its incredibly quiet location, free from bustling traffic and crowds. I'd like to give a special shout-out to one of the hotel staff, Peiyun Lin! She is an exceptional professional with excellent English (she's from Taiwan), gracious, and competent – an ideal employee. She responded instantly to our problem when we found a large cockroach in the bathroom! She arrived quickly with special products to treat the area. If only there were more employees like her! Thank you!

Our stay at Nagasaki Marriott truly exceeded expectations; it was incredibly comfortable! For this family trip, I booked three rooms for two consecutive nights, and the overall experience was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, right above a large shopping mall, making shopping, dining, and buying souvenirs incredibly convenient – daily life couldn't be easier. Situated near a transportation hub, getting around is a breeze, which is especially great for family travel. Taxis are also readily available! The rooms are spacious and bright, with expansive views and beautiful scenery outside the window; simply being in the room felt so relaxing. Because the hotel was so comfortable and well-equipped, I didn't even feel the need to rush out to tourist spots; I just wanted to quietly relax and enjoy the vacation within the hotel. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the environment was clean and comfortable. It's perfectly suited for both family holidays and relaxing getaways, making it a perfect accommodation choice for our trip to Nagasaki.

The lobby is somewhat dated but has a retro charm to it. I stayed in a standard double room which is spacious enough for one person but would be a bit cramped for two. The room seems to have been renovated recently as the fixtures, furnishings and appliances look quite new. The small balcony overlooking Glover Street is a plus. The staff at the front desk, concierge and the restaurant are all super nice and helpful. The location is very convenient. The Oura Cathedral tram stop is just down the street and many attractions such as Glover Garden, Dejima, Confucius Shrine & Museum, Holland Zaka, Gunkanjima Digital Museum are within walking distance.

Olive Bay Hotel

The Olive Bay Hotel is very good and can be said to be perfect. Convenient for self-driving, I rely on public transportation, the hotel is on the big island next to Sasebo, and the boat is within 10 minutes of Sasebo Station. I missed it at 1:30 in the afternoon and waited until 4:25. The boat was opened 15 minutes before the boat opened. There was a difference between holidays. Apple navigation is accurate, half an hour to the big island, there is no information office at the pier, no staff, no rental, fortunately someone called a taxi, I also let him send, he sent the last guest to pick me up, the pier to the hotel 7 minutes, Apple navigation said that walking for 15 minutes is definitely not possible, At least forty minutes. It was so beautiful to arrive at the hotel, regretting the three hours I wasted at Sasebo Pier. The room is also super good and can't pick any shortcomings. Carefully observe the hotel details are perfect, extremely clean and bright, and the maintenance is very good. The two meals with two meals are delicious and formal. The dinner red wine beef and the nature of the performance are excellent. The beef quality is excellent. The freshly cooked siphon coffee for breakfast is really delicious. The staff were all warm and serious. After checking out, they sent me to the pier. The hotel I wanted to stay in was much better than Beppu Intercontinental.

The hotel is only a three to four minute walk from the train station, which was a lifesaver for my exhausted self. It's clean, and the brand-new facilities are a refreshing change from typical Japanese hotels. It's also great value for money and super convenient for shopping.

Hotel Seaside Shimabara

The hotel is very large, divided into old and new buildings, each with its own hot spring that can be used by all guests. The hotel is located near Shimabara Port, and the bus outside the hotel is also a midway stop for the Unzen Onsen Bus. I only went to the main hotel's hot springs, which have indoor and outdoor hot springs. The biggest selling point is the carbonated water pool, which requires you to endure the cold when you dip in it. The only drawback is that the wifi in the room needs to be received first near the door, and the line will be disconnected immediately when the group goes to the window. The breakfast restaurant is underground, and it is a beautiful buffet breakfast with sea view.
