Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji

The rooms are located up on the hill, but they offer free shuttle service to and from the station, which is great. As expected from a Marriott, it was clean, hygienic, and the service was excellent. The hot springs were very relaxing. It's a bit far from the main hotel, so breakfast isn't included, and there are no convenience stores nearby.

Mishima Station is arguably the best transfer hub. Most major attractions like Hakone, Lake Kawaguchiko, Gotemba Premium Outlets, and the Izu region are all about an hour away, making it perfect for an overnight stop. No need to bother with changing hotels! The Tokyu Hotel I booked is right at Mishima Station's South Exit. The location is super convenient – just take the escalator on your right as you exit the station to the second floor, and you're at the hotel lobby. The South Exit is a major transport hub; the JR Tokaido Line to the Izu region and the Fujikyuko bus to Lake Kawaguchiko and Gotemba Premium Outlets all depart from this area. The hotel rooms aren't huge, but they are clean and tidy overall. There's a large public bath on the top floor, which is where most people go to bathe. Breakfast was excellent. While the variety of food wasn't vast, every ingredient was incredibly fresh. They had freshly grilled salmon and mackerel, and the various breads and desserts were also very good. There's a large private dining room with direct views of Mount Fuji, so you can enjoy the Fuji-san scenery. Highly recommended! There's a yakiniku restaurant near the hotel, 'Tokaen,' about a fifteen-minute walk away. It's mostly frequented by locals and only accepts cash 💰. I personally think it's worth visiting; the value for money is much better than restaurants around the station, and the walk there is quite pleasant.

I would hesitate booking this hotel if you are looking for a “wow” experience. We had some issues due to bad weather and some due to service. We booked a room that ideally should have had views of Mount Fuji. Due to the fog, we saw nothing for our 1 night stay outside of the clouds. This is no fault of the hotel but worth factoring into expectations. We also had some service shortfalls. No one in advance communicated that we needed to select a time for the included dinner or pick the cuisine we wanted.  As a result, we got stuck with what was available. We also were not informed that there was a shuttle to a nearby train station (the hotel made up for this by driving us to the station, but the only reason we knew was another guest mentioned it). Lastly, we selected a meal option but were not told the supplement in advance so had a 24,000 yen surprise on our bill. Had this all been communicated in advance, we would have felt better about our stay. At breakfast, we waited over 20 minutes for coffee and had to ask 3 times before it was eventually served. On the plus side, the hard product is strong and our Kappo dinner was delicious. While this wasn’t a “bad stay” - I struggle to see how this hotel landed as a 3 Michelin Star rating and can charge the prices that are charged given some of the issues we faced.

THIS WILL BE MY TOP 1 BEST HOTEL. I will definitely come back this hotel again. Loved the place, loved the room, the view, the experience. A friendly and lovely staff upgrade our room, and we had the BEST experience there. I will always appreciate the hospitality and experience there. We had great breakfast there, and we joined for the driving experience and speedway museum. LOVED IT!

The best hotel in Atami! On the day of check-in and check-out, you get one free taxi ride to the station – just tell the driver your destination and you can hop off without paying. The rooms are spacious and come with a private hot spring tub, and the minibar is complimentary. The public onsen also offers free drinks. Dinner is included in the room rate, but I'd recommend skipping it since Atami has plenty of great restaurants. Breakfast is very international and suitable for Chinese tastes. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Atami!

A perfect hotel to stay if you want the best view of Mount Fuji! I opened my eyes with Mount Fuji view! Pyjamas provided and is super comfy! Premium outlet located at 10mins away! I will stay at this hotel if I were to visit Mount Fuji again. Just one disadvantage, this hotel is located an hour away from a few tourist spots.

Very satisfied with a stay experience, the room was very large, clean and comfortable. All balconies face the sea and bring 𠕇 private hot spring baths. Our family of five booked three rooms on two websites. The hotel contacted us in advance to learn about the height of the guests (with suitable bathrobes) and eating habits, specially for the cooked food that is not eaten raw. Dinner and breakfast are very delicious and the ingredients are fresh. The menu for two days has changed. The fish has lobster, sweet shrimp and various local season fresh fish and salmon. The cows are also fried in place, suitable for your requirements! The rooms are modern and simple and combine the style of traditional Japanese-style hotels. We have two Japanese-style rooms and one Western-style rooms, which are quite satisfactory to each other. Lounge on the eighth floor, facing the sea to taste cold, hot coffee and green tea, Japanese snacks and fruits, but also can be soaked in the feet from the balcony, you can get a good rest without the shop! The seventh floor has a good view and complete outdoor style... All the staff of the hotel are very warm, courteous and very professional! This is the most satisfying hotel for our family's vacation in Japan. We feel 100 points of the hotel and meet again next year!

I chose to stay in this low-key hotel on the mountain in Atami City. Although I had to take a taxi to get in and out, I actually didn’t want to leave the hotel and my room after checking in. The scenery outside is very beautiful, there is a private onsen in the room, and the hotel services and facilities are impeccable. You can go to the lounge to have a drink, eat snacks and watch the sunset before dinner! The hotel’s dinner serves Japanese food presented to guests in a French style. The menu can be fine-tuned according to each guest’s taste requirements and will be signed off by the responsible waiter for confirmation! With such serious service, you will definitely be satisfied with breakfast and dinner! Three days and two nights accommodation, great value for money service and enjoyment!

The room and environment are great, and the service is also very good. I just asked the front desk to borrow an adapter, but there was no adapter. In addition, the Western food reserved for dinner was said to be the default on Ctrip, but I did not choose Western food. Why should I go to a Japanese-style hotel? Maybe they all ordered Western food, but after negotiating for a long time, they changed to Japanese food for one night. I don't know who should be blamed for this problem.
