Except for the airport and Tanjung Aru, the location is excellent; you can walk to the night market and other markets. What stood out most was the amazing ocean view from the room and the clean swimming pool. I especially appreciated the washing machine and drying rack, which were very convenient, and the hot water pressure was excellent. I didn't see a single bug! If I ever go back to Kota Kinabalu, I'd definitely stay here again. ๐
What to bring: Maybe an extra towel or two?

The hotel is clean and hygienic. It's a one-bedroom apartment with a washing machine. It's very convenient for getting around, being close to the pier, so you can sleep in a bit. I was always the last one to be picked up for tours. It also has a balcony.

Definitely value for money. Good location with walking distance to Imago shopping mall, Filipino market and famous restaurants nearby. Nice sea view from the room. Cleanliness of the room also above expectation. Breakfast was average but acceptable.

Had a pleasant stay for a short business trip. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Amenities were complete, especially the gym which was convenient and clean. Location is also strategic with easy access to nearby restaurants and conveniences. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free experience. Would definitely consider staying here again for future work trips.

Nice, comfortable stay with friendly staff. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.
However, we booked a room for 4 persons, but only 2 travel kits were provided (2 toothbrushes, 1 comb, etc.). We had to call housekeeping to request additional items. After a long journey, we were quite tired and hoped the room would be fully prepared according to the number of guests. It would be much better if a complete set was provided upon check-in.
Breakfast was simple but nice, which we appreciated.
One downside is the parking fee, which is quite expensive โ RM30 per day for front shop parking and RM15 for basement parking. Hopefully, the hotel can look into improving or offering better parking rates for guests.
The room was spacious and the air conditioning was comfortably cold, which I really appreciated. However, the carpet was dirty and there were noticeable cigarette marks on it, which affected the overall cleanliness. The shower pressure was just okay, not very strong. With some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, the stay could be much better.

The location is fantastic, very close to Jesselton Point,้ๅปๆ ่ก็คพ (Mingke Travel Agency), Gaya Street, and Suria Sabah shopping mall. It's super convenient for shopping and island hopping.
The hotel itself is quite new, with a stylish design and layout, attracting a lot of younger guests.
Breakfast is excellent โ plentiful, exquisite, and high-quality. You can even enjoy it on the outdoor terrace with direct sea views, which is a real bonus.
The pool isn't huge; it's a long, narrow shape, but you still get to enjoy the sea view from there.
My only minor complaints are that they don't provide complimentary bottled water that you can take out (only glass bottles for in-room use), and the lobby on the first floor is a bit small.
This icon hotel of sandakan is getting a bit tired.like the town itself.eventhought they staffs are trying their best.it need a big makeover.Still my favorite in sandakan for it is full of history.

The hotel room felt a bit old and small, and the bed was narrow. However, the shower pressure was great, and there was unlimited complimentary drinking water. The staff were very enthusiastic, and the public facilities were decent. Breakfast was average, with a Korean focus. The sunset bar had a lovely ambiance, and the hotel's small private beach was excellent for spotting fish. The location between the Magellan and Pacific hotels is very convenient for island hopping, as it's right next to the ferry terminal, and it wasn't crowded. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the city center, which is very handy, and taxis are also readily available.

GGuest UserKlagan Regency has been my family choice since its opening. And everytime we went, everything is perfect!from the process of check in went smoothly until checkout,we've been treated kindly by the staffs..not to mention the buffet breakfast, especially the nasi lemakโค๏ธ.the hotel is connecting to the mall and theres a convenience store next to the hotel, just a few steps from the entrance.we'll definitely come againโค๏ธ
AAnonymous UserWe booked a Kinabalu Wing sea view room. The room facilities were a bit old, but acceptable. The hotel offers free activities and has its own jetty for island hopping, which, though double the price, is convenient.
However, the hotel's service was terrible. We waited in line for half an hour to check in. When it was finally our turn, the front desk staff cut me off twice before I could finish speaking, and their attitude was arrogant. It was infuriating! I was already fuming before even getting to the room. Breakfast also required queuing because there were simply too many people. This really highlights a problem: the hotel's facilities can't keep up. If they have enough rooms to accommodate so many guests, why don't they staff the front desk and provide enough breakfast tables and chairs to match? We didn't even get welcome fruit after checking in. Not that we needed it, but the worst part was that someone came to deliver it only after we had already settled into our room and been asleep for half an hour. The most outrageous thing was that while we were sleeping, I (who wasn't fully asleep yet) heard the doorbell ring twice. By the time I reacted, the service person had already opened the door themselves. If I had been fully asleep and hadn't called out to them, would they have just walked right in?
Secondly, the cleanliness wasn't great. There were even stains on the water bottle.
Finally, the breakfast wasn't good, and there wasn't anything particularly appealing.
Overall, the view is genuinely beautiful, but if you come with expectations matching the price, you'll likely be disappointed.
XXiaolanmaosarahThe hotel was really just so-so, but its location is great. It's only a 10-minute walk to the pier for boat excursions, and there are supermarkets and restaurants all around. However, I really have to complain about the hotel's service. We were two adults and one child, and we brought our own toiletries. We just wanted to ask for one more bath towel, but the hotel refused... Honestly, it's the first time I've encountered such a stingy hotel. I wasn't trying to take it home; it's just that two towels aren't enough for three people to shower. That's easy to understand, right? Seriously, it's speechless...
GGuest UserFacilities: The rooms are spacious and the hotel is large. Overall, it's suitable for younger children to play.
Hygiene: Standard, good.
Environment: It's far from the airport and traffic can be bad. Make sure to allow plenty of time if you have a flight to catch. We left at 6:15 AM and arrived at 7:55 AM; our driver was really speeding to get us to the airport on time.
Service: I have to complain. 1. Even though we used WeChat to scan the QR code and there were many Chinese guests, the dining and activity information was still in English, and the font was very small, making it inconvenient to read on a phone. 2. When checking in, I told the front desk to pack breakfast on time for our last day, and they agreed and noted it, but they still forgot. All they said was 'sorry' and nothing else... These two points make it far from a five-star experience. The hotel breakfast wasn't very good. There are a few good seafood restaurants around the hotel that are fresh, affordable, and have a Chinese cooking style. I stayed at the Shangri-La on Tanjung Aru Road about ten years ago, and that location is better, though this one is larger.

HHefeng05This is my second stay at the Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, and the experience was excellent once again! ๐
๐ The location is absolutely perfect, right in the city center. It's a 5-10 minute walk to shopping malls and duty-free shops, and even closer to Durian Street and Gaya Street, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. In the evenings, it's lovely to stroll to the night market or the seafront.
๐๏ธ I highly recommend the high-floor sea-view rooms. The views are unbeatable ๐, and watching the sunset is breathtaking! The rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and it's perfect for family trips. They even offer a complimentary extra bed, which is a thoughtful touch.
๐ฝ๏ธ The breakfast deserves special praise! There's a wide variety of dishes, and the freshly cooked noodles and rice vermicelli have different toppings each day โ the beef and tendons are incredibly flavorful ๐. The Teh Tarik (pulled tea) is rich and aromatic, and the croissants are thin and crispy, unlike any I've had in China! The Chinese-speaking staff even help prepare the Teh Tarik, providing friendly and attentive service.
๐ The staff are always smiling, proactive, and enthusiastic. Communication in Chinese is largely seamless, making you feel right at home.

GGuest UserEverything was fine. Service, location. Easy access. Free parking. Beautiful sight of room. Except I do feel the size of beds seem smaller than other hotel.
Location is nice. Easy to walk around other places. Near KK plaza & walking distance to waterfront & centrepoint sabah. But do smell market at the parking lot.
Swimming pool cgood. Got both for adult and kids. I do wish more table & seats provided outside of changing room.
Breakfast was worth it. For kids & adults. I would suggest if you could add hot chocolate for drinks as well.
Personally I would like to stay at this hotel next time.

HhehahoFirst off, upon entering the hotel lobby, there was a strange, unpleasant smell, which also permeated our room. The odor only disappeared after we blocked the bathroom floor drain and sink. The breakfast, however, was plentiful. We booked an executive room and visited the executive lounge on the 15th floor. The dinner there was just okay; it filled us up, but there wasn't much variety, and on one occasion, by around 8 PM, there was nothing left but juice and beverages. The infinity pool was nice. At check-out, we were missing a room card, but the front desk didn't charge us for it, which was a pleasant surprise. Our executive room had a connecting door to the adjacent room, suggesting they can be linked. The overall soundproofing in the room wasn't great. There are three convenience stores located downstairs from the hotel.

DDrรดleThe rooms are divided into villa-style and apartment-style. There were just two of us, so we opted for the apartment. The villas come with a private pool, and the back door leads directly to the sea ๐ (the villa area doesn't have gates or fences, so passersby can walk right in). The apartment has two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms ๐, a kitchen, a balcony, and a living room ๐๏ธ. The master bedroom has large floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for watching the sunrise ๐ , though it was unfortunately raining that day ๐ข... The soundproofing was terrible; we could feel the vibrations when the neighbors had a party. We happened to be there during their National Day, so the price wasn't cheap either ๐ถ.
