Hotels With Gym in Oregon, United States

I spend 100 nights per year in just Hilton brands alone. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company I've been required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. This is my 4th time being a guest at this property and honestly there are no major issues. In general property, guest rooms, staff and location are all great! This is more a full-service hotel and a considerable step above your typical Hampton Inn format/experience. A few minor irritates: No shampoo in my room or at front desk. Was told they ran out? No loaner guest umbrellas. Was told they ran out? Limited breakfast hours and no to-go bagged breakfasts on the weekends? Regards to homeless/transient problem that plagues Portland. It's considerably better/cleaner around the hotel and Pearl district than just a year ago. I have no issues walking around by myself or concern about parking my car on the surrounding streets (except some park blocks are still dicey).

This hotel is in the perfect location. Very close to good restaurants (Indian & Italian), walking distance. Close to Target and CVS too. The Hotel in general is well maintained, modern and clean. In addition, the bedding is extremely comfortable and a well thought out room layout. I appreciated the mini fridge, ironing board and state of the art iron. These small details made my experience very pleasant. Also, the gym was very clean too. Highly recommended this hotel!

There were some problems with the room that the front desk arranged for check-in... Go downstairs to communicate with the front desk and arrange to change to another adjacent room, which was much better this time. 1. The location of the hotel is slightly away from the shopping mall of Pioneer Square, about 15-20 minutes on foot. 2. The hotel’s breakfast is pure Western style, with real-fire baked freshly made pizza, iron plate of vegetable and egg bread (as shown in the picture), three kinds of juice, three kinds of milk (whole milk-black handle, skim Milk-blue handle, sweet soy milk?-green handle), a variety of fresh fruits, the taste is not bad. Favorite blueberry + plain yogurt. 3. The hotel has its own parking lot with parking service. The charge is quite expensive, 40+ USD per night. The parking space on the road in front of the hotel, once every two hours, costs about four dollars. Take a few more steps and pass two intersections. There is a world food supermarket. There is a small parking lot opposite. You can stay overnight. There is a discount for parking on Friday nights. It costs 8 dollars a night. Change! Tell the important things three times, don't ask how I know...remember to remember! You can also renew during the day, which is very convenient.

The only things visible from outside the entrance were construction debris and plastic tarp. I wouldn't have been surprised to find I had simply gone to the wrong place. However, the doors did automatically open as I approached, so I cautiously entered. I expected to be chased out by an angry construction worker. There was no lobby, to speak of. The check-in desk was essentially a folding card table with a computer, and a frazzled employee who seemed to be frustrated to have to work under such conditions, exhausted from having to make excuses for the position they had been put in. My room was supposed to have a balcony with a river view. Only, the windows and doors to the balcony were sealed off with more plastic sheeting. Not only could I not see the river, I couldn't even get onto the balcony. When I went to wash my hands, there was no hot water. I mentioned it twice to the person the ”front desk,” but there was still no hot water when I returned from an evening out. I called down again to inform them that I still didn't have hot water, and was told that someone would call me back shortly. They never did. Consequently, I was unable to shower the next morning. I had to tell the person at the the front desk, again, that there was no hot water on my way out for the day. We did end up having hot water when we returned that evening. I had been told that the construction that was taking place that had necessitated the plastic sheeting on my balcony would be taken down the next day, and that our balcony would be accessible, but that never happened. When we returned from one of our evenings out, the elevators stalled just as it reached our floor, and the doors only opened part way. We had to carefully exit sideways to fit through the gap, but we were worried that the doors might close on us as we did, or that the elevator might suddenly decide to go up or down before we got through. We were informed that our room would only be serviced if we requested, so it basically felt like we paying for a bed, a parking space, and nothing more. Our bill was $437.54 for two nights of feeling like we were trespassers at a construction site. This is not a place that anyone should pay any amount to stay at.

The rooms were mini especially Room 301 ,a Queen. I dropped a sock behind the dresser drawer and it was pretty dusty. The drawers were enamel coated and not wiped down. We came early on a Thursday after 3PM and took the tram in from the airport maybe a 30 minute ride, We came two days early before the cruise started and found the area to be dismal. We did walk to Cheryl's a great breakfast place then from there to the Japanese Gardens and back to Powells bookstore and hotel about 8miles in total. Streets in from of hotel were filled with leaves and debris. Homeless tents on opposite side of streets. We found a rat outside of building in the hotel bushes. It was near were the luggage from the previous cruise entered the building. So, by the time we returned it was gone. In addition, we were told 200 homeless people had just been removed from the water walk across the street. Portland is still a depressed city after the riots. The area near the hotel is a ghost town. I would recommend the Kimpton Hotel as an alternative that is less than a half mile away. We were on an UNCRUISE trip down the Snake River. So, we came early. Its not a bad location and they accept pets. It wants to look and appear funky. The sign that would normally would say ”DO NOT DISTURB” says ”I'm Naked”. I wouldn't put that sign out as a single woman. It seems like marketing is a bunch of 20 year old boys. The lobby is very small.

The hotel location is very convenient and is next to Hwy exit. It is a quite neighborhood area. The facility maintains very well and the room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel persons are very friendly and helpful. It is a highly recommended hotel.

Excellent room, service and beautiful property. The lobby was relaxing to sit by the fire and visit. A couple weddings happened and the photo takes were magical, Clarissa explained the details of the hotel and weddings. The night l valet, Johnny was the absolute best- he took care of my classic Corvette.

Breakfast choices are very fast and make up quickly. The rooms are large and 5b2b is suitable for five people. There is gym and swimming pool. The service is very good, you can store your luggage at the hotel early. The location is good and quiet, there are several restaurants walking to the river. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to downtown and takes about the same time by car.

Really impressed with the size of the room, the bathroom, the décor, the amenities, quality, look/feel, service, etc. That was the highlight for my trip, and if this hotel were located somewhere else, I'd come here every time. That said, the location of the hotel being in the worst of downtown Portland, coupled with ridiculous (literally, jaw dropping stunning) parking challenges, makes this a no-go for a recommendation. It's hard to believe they have no parking structure, and must only use valet or (unsafe) street parking. Even getting to the hotel is difficult because so many streets nearby are closed. I called and asked how/where I was supposed to park, and was told it was just valet, and to find any spot in front and double park (which I did). I actually had to park in a bus stop, left my blinkers on, and gave my key to the valet. 45 minutes later, I could still see my vehicle on the street from my 10th floor room, so I went down to the valet and expressed my concern that I was going to either get a ticket or get towed. He said he was very overworked, had started his shift at 2pm (it was 11pm at this time), hadn't had lunch or a break, that the parking was almost at capacity, and he ”hoped” he would get to it later. While I was talking to him, two other guests interrupted (presumably with the same concern) and decided to park on the street and risk it. 20 minutes later, my vehicle did finally get parked. In the morning, one of my antennas was snapped off and sitting on my front seat. Par for the course... I wish I had known how bad the parking situation was beforehand, because I would never have chosen this place. It's a shame too, since the hotel and room were awesome. If you're taking a taxi or ride share to the hotel, and don't intend to go out, then this is a winner. If you have a vehicle of any kind, don't even bother. It's an exercise in frustration and annoyance.

We were there for the PDX marathon. We were told there would be a runners' breakfast. We went downstairs to locked doors because they ran out of food! Several runners were livid. I was willing to take coffee and a hard-boiled egg at that point. No one would answer the door. We went upstairs to ask the front desk what was going on. The only attendant working said, ”no one told me they were closing”. I asked for a coffee. She said the machine isn't working and no one told me how to clean it. Ok, we will go get something from the snack room. Bought a yogurt and cheese and crackers tray. She said we will charge your room $5.00. I was mad because breakfast was supposed to be free. I got my bill yesterday, the front desk charge me $9.00. My room was over $400.00 for one night and we were treated with such indifference. I don't think I will be back! Also, we were promised a two-bed room. We received a King bed and a sleeper-sofa. The sleeper-sofa was thin, slanted and really uncomfortable. When I asked the front desk to exchange--he told me, in an arrogantly, rude way, that I was wrong in how I ordered and I should have expected a sleeper sofa in the suite. I don't know what it takes to be the official Portland Marathon hotel, but another hotel could definately have done better.

Great quiet place staff is friendly rooms are clean will use this hotel again. Everything is close bars restaurants shopping

The hotel location is very convenient and is next to Hwy exit. It is a quite neighborhood area. The facility maintains very well and the room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel persons are very friendly and helpful. It is a highly recommended hotel.

Very nice hotel with warm and thoughtful front desk service. The hotel has a good environment and a fountain. Although the hotel has a history of 80 years, the room card is often clean, the wet and dry rooms are separated, and the room is large.

I have had 5 rooms for a celebrity who was staying at your hotel and we had a fundraising event for a cancer hospital. We were not able to get the ballroom and your event mngmnt team got back to us very late. I was surprised by how difficult it was for us to get our event at your ballroom. Later we heard you are sold out and the girl I called to make the reservations, but i was able to secure 5 rooms for my guests. One of the guests was very upset, he was not able to sleep due to the ridiculous noise coming from outside all night long. People were walking and talking in the hallway. He even complained to the FD. I have got 5 rooms and paid over $3k where i could have gotten my rooms way cheaper from Marriot across the street, i thought your hotel is the best in this area but i was wrong. FD at check-in was amazing, The guy at the desk was very helpful, the manager was nice, Kiran was good. Jehoce the supervisor at the desk was amazing.

I can only speak to my experience but, in no way did it resemble the one star reviews. I found the property welcoming in nature. The staff were great and really seemed to like their positions. While I didn’t eat or drink in the hotel, the bar area was quite inviting as was the lobby area in general. I went and looked at the pool and hot tub and it was inviting. The problem I had to work late and the pool was most likely closed. It would be nice if the pool and hot tub were open late w/o children after 9PM. I will be back and I’ll bring the kids too

The place was the best! The staff all stunningly kind, helpful and friendly. I stayed at 2 other establishments this trip. This hands down won. It was less expensive. I really appreciated the breafast and coffee. They had real! Milk for the coffee. They dont charge for coffee, parking, or breakfast unlike one of the other hotels stayed. Nice quiet location. The bed was clean. The room freshly smelling. Its not modern but comfortable and homey. Great kitchen. Large fridge. Amazing laundry room. I have compared i am soo glad i found this. The value is right on. I want alot! For a low price They delivered!! Thank u for the stay. And the staff were amazing from the breakfast guy to check in peeps.

Room is spacious and clean. Front desk staff, Elizabeth, who is also Assistant GM, is very helpful and super kind. She tries to accommodate all our requests. Location is nice, near shopping center. Breakfast is very nice - per order at Bistro and not buffet style.

The room is fully equipped and the health service is good.

The hotel is relatively small, but the location is okay, close to the shopping mall, this is not a particularly prosperous place, we come to worship visitors on official business.

More expensive than most hotels located within its proximity and can do a little upgrade in terms of amenities since guests are paying more. Staff are very friendly as always.
