Rantasalmi Homestays

This was a great couple getaway for us. We stayed two nights in the scenery suite and we were happy about the accommodation. Cabin was clean and spacious enough for two persons. Cabin didn’t have TV but that’s something we didn’t miss during our stay. Cabin has a small fireplace and it might be bit challenging for some people to start the fire but we didn’t have any problems. We had dinner in the hotel’s restaurant (fish and reindeer). Restaurant is nice and quiet and it provided privacy as tables are not too close to each other. Big fireplace in one corner is also nice. Reviews seem to mention often that the spa is small but we found it just perfect for us. It might not be best for the families who expect waterslide etc for the kids but atmosphere is suitable for the couples. We had an activity included in our accommodation package and we rented e-bikes for two hours. We had super fun biking to one of the islands and routes nearby hotel. We will definitely return to Järvisydän during the summer. Best thing in during the stay was the genuinely friendly staff who were there when you needed them.

Cottage has mechanical ventilation. Peaceful, light plot facing south and west, on promontory. No neighbours visible. Playhouse and cabin for children.Savonlinna/Olavinlinna 50 km, Varkaus 45 km, Rantasalmi 10 km, Ruusuhovi Golf 17 km, Linnansaari National Park. At Rantasalmi in winter a comprehensive network of ski trails; safari style skating from Porosalmi, via Linnansaari, to Oravi. Route 18 km, Helsinki 316 km.

40 km to the west of Savonlinna, Tuusjärvi 200 m (length of 9 km, width 0.5 km), hard, shallow, sandy-rocky-clay bottom, own boat and pier. Own shoreline 30 m, path leads to the shore.Log cabin 2001, kitchen, bedroom (sliding door) with 2 beds, sleeping loft with 2 beds (beds isolated with curtains), balcony, sauna, wash room with toilet and shower, terrace. Entrance to sauna and toilet through terrace.An outdoor privy, woodshed and 2 warehouses (second warehouse occupiend by owner). Two-storey cottage on a hill, lawn yard, plot size of 1 ha. In a quiet lush, green place, a lot of bird singing. To the beach along the road via Syvärannantie-road 300 m, along a path 200 m (way to the path begins along the cottage road from where there are signs to the shore). Neighbors on both sides. Neighbor not visible from the yard.Water in the tap comes from the own well, but it's not suitable for drinking. The owner brings some drinking water in the beginning of holiday.Mill Rapion Mylly 6 km, Juva 18 km, Savonlinna 40 m, Mikkeli 60 km.

37 km west of Savonlinna. Lake Rappusenjärvi 70 m (length 3,5 km, breadth 1,8 km), shallow water, firm bottom. Pier, 2 rowing boats and kayak.In 2021 renovated former farmhouse, kitchen/living room with a sofabed for two, bigger bedroom with a double bed (width 180 cm) and an old pull-out bed (width 70 cm and length 190 cm), bedroom with double bed (width 140 cm), bathroom (shower cubicle and toilet), foyer. Terrace at the beach end of the house.The cottage also has a wood stove and baking oven. Ceramic hob and convection oven. The dishwasher is a small table model.Telecommuting possibility (desk and chair) in the bedroom. Wifi-internet -connection.Own separate lakeside sauna, dressing room (60 m), terrace. Water pipe from the lake to sauna by electric pump.Sleeping shed (approx. 10 m², electrified), with 3 alternative extra beds (maximum number of people for the reservation is 7).Grill in the yard and grill hut on the beach.In addition to the indoor toilet, there is also a composting outdoor toilet available in the yard.Various yard games, Frisbee golf baskets.Summer cafe 700 m.
