Travelodge Stonehouse
4/541 Reviews
I recently stayed in Travelodge Stonehouse initially for 5 night's but then after an accident needing to extend by 4 nights. I must say that the staff without exception are very friendly & helpful which is a big plus. The Hotel itself is pretty dated which is showing particularly if you look behind the TV's which are thick with dust. Parking can also be difficult due to a limited number of spaces & large numbers of van's (beyond the Hotels responsibility perhaps although it should be possible to have 2 areas cars & van's needing bigger spaces). I used the disabled spaces but twice found it difficult to access my car as large van's had parked very tightly. The car park itself is also fairly dark & uneven. My main concern though is accessible rooms -- this something everyone with any sort of disability MUST be aware of: It is 2024 so most large chains have made changes to help disabled people so it is quite a shock to find that here accessible literally means wider shower just a shower over a bath bathroom doors. Accessible does not mean adaptable I was horrified to find no wet type room or walk in shower meaning I could not use that. I did try once but fell damaging my back resulting in Hospital. Surely a suitable bathroom is an easy fix even if costing Travelodge money, in my view this is very poor indeed. I am raising this directly as at the very least a warning should be made on their website. Wheelchair users in particular would really struggle in this Hotel
Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.
The Stroud Hotel

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at The Stroud. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and really went out of their way, even leaving extra chocolates in the room at night because I mentioned I liked them! It’s these small personal touches that really make The Stroud stand out as a place to stay. Our room was bright, comfortable and the bathroom had a fantastic shower. Everything is clean and modern but still has lots of character and charm. The location is fantastic with everything in easy walking distance. The town is lively and interesting, but honestly we had a great time eating at the hotel restaurant, which had an innovative menu and delicious food. We had a great few days here and can highly recommend it.
Old Fleece Apartments

We were helped upstairs with our luggage when we arrived in spite of being rather early for check in. The apartment is very well equipped. We were amazed to find a dishwasher. The two large double beds were very comfortable. The shower was amazing. All in all, we were delighted with the accommodation. If you are planning to book this accommodation, please be aware that the stairs to the bedrooms may be a little difficult for some. However, help was on hand with luggage which was excellent. We didn't sample the food as we were out (at the 3 Choirs Festival) in the evenings as well as day time.
