Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford Manchester

Forgotten to write a review here last month right after my visit. Hilton has never disappointed me. Although it was just a short stay for a night, we felt welcomed. Diego was the best of the best in the hotel, he managed to get us checked in within minutes. The rooms were great as well, overlooking the cricket ground. Well maintained throughout the entire property. The only downside is with the bed, it is relatively small compared to other Hilton's King size beds. Don't forget to bring your own slippers as they don't provide with any. It would be best to have some stock there and make it available upon request (maybe at a charge to cover the extra cost?). The staff at the breakfast lounge were great as well, helped me heated up my croissant, which makes it a wonderful day to start with. Will definitely be there again when I visit Manchester or Liverpool.

Delta Hotels Manchester Airport

Stayed here on a stay and parking package booked through Holiday Extras. On arrival, you park in the car park where there were plenty of spaces before proceeding to check in at reception. Check-in was simple, and we pre-booked the included transport to Terminal 1 at the desk as we had an early flight. I also enquired about the return transfer as we would be returning on a flight returning after the last scheduled transfer at 11pm, and was told that on return I would need to ring the hotel who would book a taxi on their account as part of the deal we had booked. Naturally, I was pleased. We proceeded to our room, which was nice and clean and more than big enough for a one night stay. We also ate in the French Bistro and gad a really nice meal. Just before catching the 0345am transfer to the airport, I confirmed with reception that we would be entitled to a taxi back to the airport on our return, and the kady gave us a card with the hotel number on to call on our return. However, on returning to Manchester Airport 5 days later, I tried calling the number, which put you through to an automated answer service and not the hotel. When eventually got through to a real person, was told they were unable to help us and to ring automated number again and press the option for transfers. The problem was that the transfer shuttle had ended at 11 pm, so nobody to speak to. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I ended up paying £15 for a taxi ourselves from the rank at the airport as we then had a 2.5 hour drive home. The hotel itself was great, but the transfer system needs simplifying. If the transfer is not available between 11pm and 3am, then fine, but state that and don't promise a non-existent taxi at the hotel's expense. Would I stay here again, possibly but would expect a better and clearer transfer service.

Stayed here a while back whilst on a business trip. The room was huge and I was so impressed with the bed and linen I emailed them when I got home to find out the make. Great bathroom and the little touches like the sweets in the fridge were fab. Ate in the restaurant and quality and portions were great. Staff throughout the hotel were a credit. Will look forward to another stay
Premier Inn Manchester Old Trafford

This Premier Inn is in a perfect location as it’s just beside a Metro stop that can take you into Manchester or out to the Trafford centre. It’s also within easy walking distance of the Imperial War Museum North, The Lowry and the other attractions of Salford Quays. Our stay was part of my mum’s 90th birthday gift to go to the Peter Kay show and the staff were really lovely with her, giving her a free dessert and drink with her evening meal. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, as expected with Premier Inn. We’ll definitely stay here again.
Trafford Hall Manchester, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We had read the reviews previously posted after we had booked through Hotels.com and were alarmed that the room we had booked was in ‘The Cottage’. If I could have cancelled at that point I would, however the staff were lovely. Listened to the concerns and we moved to the main hotel. We had a pleasant room, very clean and staff were lovely throughout. Whilst the menu in the bar isn’t as extensive as shown online the food was delicious and we ate there both nights and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in there. We did look at the ‘the cottage’ and were glad we didn’t end up there.
