Before I go further, let me called attention on the various other people who have given positive reviews to this hotel - most of them (as I realized later) have the same surname. Wish I had noticed earlier. Probably scam reviews. 1. First, the positives: (a) It is a very centrally located hotel in Darbhanga town. (b) Every time you have an issue, the front desk is very responsive. (c) Food is tasty, although a curry dishes are too oily. 2. The negatives: (a) Darbhanga has terrible traffic and the town has various roads which are open only for one-way access from 8am to 8pm. Including the road in front of the hotel. (b) The first room allotted to me (404) would not open. 3 people from the hotel tried to work the lock but ultimately, I was allotted another one (406) but only when I got tired of waiting and asked for another one. (c) When I walked into 406, there was some old food item's remains lying on the floor. Asked for it to be cleaned which was done very promptly. (d) Not hot water in the night, it came in the morning. (e) Their menu has an elaborate list of continental cuisine but none was available. Not sure why, maybe the cook who makes that was away. (f) The breakfast is served as a buffet only when there are enough people (minimum of 10, I was told). If there are fewer people, you are served a la carte in your room. (g) The rooms can be much cleaner. (h) The initial electric kettle had rust stains and it was replaced - after I asked for a replacement. In all, a forgettable experience. Stay there only if there are no other options and there aren't many of those in Darbhanga.
