Batu Pahat Homestays

From the opening year of this hotel our group has been staying at Pinetree every year for the Chinese New Year Holidays. There is no good reason to go anywhere else, they always provide a high standard of service and maintain the rooms in good condition. My personal test for any hotel's breakfast quality is how good they can cook poached eggs and here they sure have the expertise, I have not been disappointed yet, sorry I forgot to take a photo of the perfect poached eggs. Over the years the wifi has improved and is now quite good on the floors we have occupied and in the public areas. The location is close to shopping and local services.

This Room V is not as nice as the other 2 branches in BP. The cleanliness of accommodation was average but bed was comfortable, plus the air-con wasn't works weell, not cold(setted 16⁰ but like ＞ 27⁰). Beside that, compare to other branches, lack of basic amenities such as no kettle and hair dryer....

Being a budget hotel, one cannot expect too much - overall this hotel is value for money - room is basic and sp**** but spacious with acceptable cleanliness. The hotel is next to an old shopping mall ( which had seen its better days) and a supermarket named “Target” which seems to be popular with the locals. You can either park outside the hotel or at Level 3 of the indoor carpark. A simple buffet breakfast is provided in the room package - mostly of local fares which was fine for us. Great view of the city and its surrounding hills from the upper floors.
