GGuest UserWe just returned from Tucson vacation. The Adobe Rose was one of the highlights of our trip; simply the best B&B we've ever stayed in! Immaculate rooms and common areas featuring comfortable and colorful Southwestern touches (art; fireplaces; leather couches; bright fun color schemes throughout the property; courtyards with orange and lemon trees, a fountain, lovely seating ”pods” to enjoy a coffee or cocktail; cozy pool that gets plenty of sun). Rooms have luxurious beds; great shower; bathrobes; excellent bedside reading lights. Rooms are quiet, very private.Multi-course breakfast to die for! fresh fruit, quiche, frittatas, home made pastries, even breakfast dessert. Different and creative each morning. Super location in quiet, charming neighborhood. Your host, Dina, simply the Best! Impeccable service and so helpful with tips for restaurants, attractions. Dina makes you feel right at home, like you are part of the Adobe Rose family, yet never intrusive. Once there, you'll want to extend your stay.
We had the best time at Tanque Verde Ranch! The resort was laid-back but still beautiful/luxurious, the activities were a lot of fun, and most notably the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We traveled as a group of four families with young kids, and there were plenty of activities and experiences suitable for all ages and interests. The Cowboy Cookout, horseback lessons, kids club, and mountain biking on the attached trails were a few highlights. This is a place we plan to visit again.
GGuest UserExpectations were somewhat higher due to the reviews. Maybe it was the room itself which was spacious and clean but the bathroom was mostly the problem. It was too big, very cold due to leaky windows and no heater. Slow drains all around, faucet about to come off, could use an entire makeover. It was very cold during our stay so the room heater was working almost 24/7. Heater temp and air temp didn't feel right, sometimes not enough heat, other times too warm. Could not regulate the temperature well, plus with all the leaky windows, maybe that was the best it could do under the circumstances. Best part of the room was it was upstairs and the view was very nice, if you ignored all the noise from the staff maintenance area. The breakfast buffet was okay, slight variation each morning but the wait staff was not very friendly and not attentive at all. One coffee refill would of been nice, which most of us had to ask for and half the time they never came back. If they were real busy, we could understand but being close to the kitchen area, you could hear them talking and not attending to the clientele. Will not be going back anytime soon.
