We arrived after office hours and appreciated that the check-in process was straightforward and easy to follow. However, the park's location is a bit far from supermarkets and major attractions, which made getting around less convenient for us.
The facilities are mostly shared and not quite suitable for our needs. Unfortunately, all better-equipped units were fully booked, so we couldn't upgrade. We also found the Wi-Fi signal in the room to be quite weak. Due to these factors, we decided to cut our stay short and checked out after just one night.
Overall happy with our stay. Nice dining area in restaurant and decent size rooms. Food a bit on the pricey end but given the location, was well presented and quite accomodating.
Room was good and clean, however only minor feedback is would have been appreciated if all windows were not left open as it took ages for the room to cool given the hot humid weather.
Loved the relaxed vibe at the Magnums hostel. The twin private room was small, but the bathroom was super close! Perfect for one night.
Kitchen was nice and fully equipped.
We were able to check in early too!
The room was very quiet. No noise.
We had an amazing stay at Daintree Beach Resort. The location is absolutely stunning — right between the rainforest and the ocean, giving us the perfect Far North Queensland experience. The resort is peaceful and relaxing, making it ideal for a nature getaway.
If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, unique, and surrounded by nature — this is the place. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Daintree region!
Auberge de jeunesse dans le centre d'un village très agréable.
Parking gratuit juste devant.

GGuest UserActually Myself and my colleague booked two family cabins for three nights. That is for work and we were the only guests. As per advertised on trip.com we paid for including buffet breakfast. Following day morning when we went for the restaurant we were told they have not been provided our names and we need to pay for breakfast.. So I had to bring my booking print out and show the restaurant staff breakfast was included. Even though they let us eat there they were not convinced and were suspicious I guess.
So that day my colleague went to see the manager of the accommodation and he said to me she was not convinced about breakfast was included. My colleague said it was very unpleasant and embarrassing. She told him I need to come down too. But later when I went to see her she said everything is sorted out and problem was they didn't know anything about Trip.com and trip.com send the booking through ******* and wrongly mentioned each of our booking included three adults and the extra payment is for additional adults as they understood. So the third day morning we didn't have issue at the breakfast as our names passed on. But unfortunately last day morning restaurant staff asked us to pay for breakfast because our name was not on the list. Luckily the chef remembered us and he was very politely let us eat. Even though we paid for breakfast we were at mercy of good people. Whole experience was very inconvenient and embarrassing. I think main bungle was done by Trip.com. But management did not bother to completely sort it out.
This was my first time with Trip.com and Aaok Moondarra Accommodation Village. My colleague said he did not have issues previously with Trip.com but all those occasions were without breakfast. Other than that accommodation was really good. It had got good Wi-Fi, YouTube and Netflix.
My advise is if you book through Trip.com for an accommodation with breakfast make sure with the accommodation that it has been correctly passed on to them.
GGuest UserThis was my 2nd time staying at the Binna Burra Sky Lodges, after the bushfires hit the Binna Burra Lodge in 2019. It was fortunate that the Sky Lodges seemed relatively unscathed by the bushfires that ravaged the park. The Sky Lodges are beautifully furnished, with lots of beverages, utensils, laundry facilities and a spa bath. The only limiting aspect of service is that there were no bathroom slippers provided to shield our feet from the stone cold floor.
Due to unforeseen work circumstances, a personal friend who was supposed to drive us up to the Sky Lodge, and accompany us on a bush walk had to cancel on us about a week before our booking. I called the property hotline and Lodge duty manager, Pip was really responsive to recommend a private transport operator to ferry us up from Nerang Train Station to Binna Burra and back.
As we arrived at Binna Burra, I was surprised to find that the check-in for the Binna Burra Sky Lodges has moved to the Teahouse, which is about 200-300 metres down the road from where the Sky Lodges were located. Thankfully, we had an awesome duty manager, Justine who allayed our concerns- allowing us to deposit our bags as we embarked on a hike to Daves Creek Circuit. She also had to manage and deal with my unreasonable, demanding father who dropped out early in the hike and hounded her for our whereabouts when we were uncontactable due to poor signal reception.
When we checked-in at reception, Justine provided exceptional customer service by driving us up to the Sky Lodges and porting our heavy bags into the room. She also approved of us checking-out by leaving our keys in room, instead of having to lug all our belongings down to reception.
AAnonymous UserIt’s a minimalistic hotel, but in saying that it is what you pay for. It is great location very close to the city Valley and WooloonGabba. Very affordable discreet and very flexible with checking times. Front desk is not always manned but upon a phone call they are there in a jiffy. My first day wasn’t the greatest but I’ve had much better days since then and it depends on the rooms that you get but most of them are very very cozy. They have air-conditioning a bathroom and an ample space for two or a family of three with small child . also has a fridge and hot water. there’s a front and a back entrance and ample street parking as well as small amount of parking at the back you can come and go as you please without being harassed by front desk staff. It is ideal if you’re a night owl . on average I would give them 3 1/2 out of five stars however my most recent chips are probably 4 out of 5.
GGuest UserThere was 5 of us and for a boys weekend to wet and wild it was very ideal to house us and had enough space for us all. Bathroom was a great size and felt modern enough. We had the choice of bunk beds, a double bed, and some slept on the couch as the air conditioning was in the living room. A small wall fan in the bunk bed room was pointless but the double bed room had a ceiling fan. Fridge had an incredible freezer. Unsure about the rubbish as we overfilled the small bins. Nothing to complain about, handy to be nearby a lot of shops and food places. Front area had a table for hanging out and a rail for hanging wet clothing.
KKeithWow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good!
1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths.
2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides..
3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!)
4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic.....
5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper.
6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote.
So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat.
Cheers, Keith
GGuest UserStaff were a bit officious at check-in and in my limited subsequent interactions. There seems to be a strong expectation that all guests are either local or repeat visitors (with vehicles). Both the lady who checked me in and the other staff member there at thebtime seemed utterly baffled and even suspicious that I was not familiar with the area and had basic questions about nearby ammenties (supermarkets Etc). There is no 'way to indicate 'do not disturb' which lead to staff coming into the cabin to clean while I was asleep in the room. We both got quite a fright! No harm done, but very easily avoidable especially for week long stays in self catering rooms which you would not expect to receive cleaning service until you check out.
GGuest UserWe had a spacious room with lots of amenities including a fully equipped kitchen which was a nice surprise at such a low cost. However, a few of the facilities seemed in need of restoration, with the fan and A/C seeming outdated to the point of feeling unsafe, and the fire alarm half hanging off the ceiling with tape. Additionally, we had a problem with pests in our room, seeing lots of cockroaches and a couple of spiders over our 3 nights. It was also disappointing that such loud maintenance works were going on in the park from fairly early in the morning, which would have been okay if it was communicated to us prior to booking, however it was not. Overall, a good value room, but in need of some work and pest control.
