Great location of a hotel. Tatami scenic room just window away from passersby, so if enjoying more quiet place, I would recommend rooms upstairs. However, at night the whole location is very quiet, had nice good sleep. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortably equipped. Need an entry ticket, so during the trip was dependent on the shops and restaurants within small area.

Located within the Old East Gate scenic area, this hotel is a traditional residential building from the late Qing Dynasty/early Republic of China. Once you step inside, it's like a hidden gem, absolutely stunning. The room was clean and tidy. Even though it was on the first floor and right next to a narrow alley, the soundproof windows were fantastic, blocking out all the noise. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. Plus, it's super convenient with the De Yun She, Mahua Theater, Lvliu Ju, and Xu Family Duck all within a five-minute walk.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wanhe Riverview Inn Hotel, made even more special as I checked in on my birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff member handling our check-in was incredibly attentive, warm and genuinely hospitable. He went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met and even anticipated things we had not thought of. The location is truly a standout. It is conveniently close to the vibrant Shantang Old Street, making it easy to explore local food and attractions, yet the hotel itself is tucked away in a peaceful and secluded spot, offering a perfect escape from the bustle. Cleanliness was impeccable. The room was spotless and very well maintained. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt comfortable and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the stunning room view, which added such a relaxing and scenic touch to our experience. The facilities were also a pleasant surprise, with nice little touches such as the fruit platter that made the stay feel even more welcoming. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This was my first time visiting Zhouzhuang with my child. I've always thought guesthouses weren't as good as hotels, but I really wanted to experience staying in one within the ancient town. To my surprise, a randomly chosen guesthouse turned out to be a delightful little surprise! Stepping into the courtyard, you could immediately tell how much effort the owner put in – there were so many plants and flowers, giving off a real springtime vibe. The room was also very clean and had a comfortable little balcony. Plus, there was a projector in the room, which absolutely thrilled my child! The guesthouse is right by the canal, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the main ancient town canal in the last picture. It was incredibly quiet and comfortable.

My sister and I booked this hotel because of the location. What we discovered was a hotel with the best staff. The girls at the front desk was super helpful with everything. The customer service started before I even arrived. I got an email welcoming me after I booked the room. It was a great way to communicate with the staff. I got an email on the day of my trip from the hotel checking in on me during my travel to the hotel. We arrived early to the hotel before check in and was able to leave our bag until check in time. The girls at the desk were so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed before going to our room. The room was small and quaint. Perfect for just because we were out and about am day and most of the night. I loved the projector above the bed. I didn't think I would like sleeping in the bed because it wasn't as soft as I like. I was completely wrong. I slept so well. I woke up refreshed. Check out time was at noon which was perfect because we wanted to sleep in the next day. I highly recommend this beautiful place. Definitely will stay again.

The room decor was quite atmospheric. They personally delivered all our takeout orders to the room, and even provided an umbrella when it rained. It's very close to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden is right across the street, making sightseeing very convenient. There are also many restaurants nearby.

I really loved the traditional Chinese decor; it truly embodies the unique character of Suzhou accommodation. The location is incredibly convenient: Suzhou Museum, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and Pingjiang Road are all within walking distance. Getting to Shantang Street and the train station is also very easy. This was our second stay, and the hostess was just as warm and friendly as before. Our child always looks forward to staying at Suzhou Xiaoyuan whenever we visit Suzhou. We had made arrangements and communicated in advance, and they even upgraded our room upon arrival. It truly felt like a home away from home. We'll certainly choose Suzhou Xiaoyuan again for our future trips.

The hotel is conveniently located near Dongguan Street, right next to Ge Garden, making it easy to access transport and local amenities. The rooms are housed in a two-story wooden building, encircling a charming courtyard with a miniature rock garden. While the rooms themselves are clean, the bathroom is a bit on the small side. The service was incredibly thoughtful; staff even helped us with laundry. The owner was exceptionally hospitable and warm; he not only used an electric cart to assist with our luggage but also gave us a ride to a nearby place for a local morning tea. We noticed the diamond-patterned door didn't block out much light, but when we mentioned it to the owner, he immediately took care of it. He also generously shared recommendations for many authentic Yangzhou restaurants favored by locals, helping us avoid any tourist traps.

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street – all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.

LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing. The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem. The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes. The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out. Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.

WWHY?——Y!The hotel facilities are excellent, and the location is superb with convenient transportation links. The room was clean and quiet, making for a very comfortable overall experience. HHalf Gwailo ABCOverall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

LleotenThe hotel is not bad, it’s not very close to metro, but it’s okay. Room is nice and big, but a bit dirty in some places. Unfortunately, there was no washing powder in the room, and I was told to go and buy it. The hotel provides breakfast, but it’s in the neighbourhood building and the breakfast itself was with quite a modest choice

DDanaonianlianAs someone with severe mysophobia, I pay close attention to the bedding and toilet when I stay anywhere. This guesthouse truly excels in its hygiene details. The duvet and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and they were from the brand Graceful. The host thoughtfully put an extra pillow protector on the pillow core before the actual pillowcase we used. The mattress also had an additional mattress cover underneath the fitted sheet, showing the same meticulous care as one would in their own home. What particularly touched me as a mysophobe was that the toilet paper rolls were individually wrapped, and they even provided disposable toilet seat covers, also from the Graceful brand. The hostess provided very detailed and attentive service, contacting me in advance with directions and check-in instructions. The room's soft furnishings were beautifully and thoughtfully arranged, making it perfect for photos. The facilities were comprehensive; in addition to standard disposable toiletries, they also provided disposable towels and bath towels. The high-floor view was also excellent, with the Himalayan buildings and lights visible right outside the window. It was a wonderful stay! ( ﹡ˆoˆ﹡ )
