"Everything we needed for a weekend break. Loved the names of the apartments, quirky. Plenty of lights and a lovely colour changing mirror in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided, along with towels, t-towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid and multi purpose cleaner. Cutlery, plates, dishes and mugs as well as a microwave, toaster, table and chairs. A lovely bathroom and plenty of room/space. Unfortunately we found the mattress not firm enough and not that we watch the television just put it on to wind down before going to bed. You couldn't watch live TV. You needed to log in on Netflix and channels like that to watch anything. That said we had a lovely weekend break"

AAnonymous UserLinda and Steve were very hospitable, and we felt warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean and well-maintained.
However, the soundproofing could be improved, so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Our room also had a noticeable chemical odour, possibly from the wallpaper. Although we were told it had been there for years, the smell was quite strong, so this may be a concern for guests with asthma or sensitivity to scents.
The location is very convenient, around a 10-minute walk to the city centre and also close to the seaside.
Overall, it was a good stay, and I would still recommend it.

GGuest Userhow this place ever got given 5 stars is ridiculous. It’s so old and outdated it belongs in the ark. And to spend £350 a night for this place is a disgrace. I travel all my life and it’s just not up to scratch. We arrived to be told we couldn’t get breakfast it didn’t start till 8. I said we leave early each day and was told we could have cold food at 7.30. No attempt to do anything. Looks like It was last decorated in the 80’s and I’m honestly shocked how bad a hotel can be at that price. If my wife had been with me I’d have left. I’ll never stay again. No fridge in the room, no ac no extra blankets in the cupboard. Poor all round.

OOlly reviewsThe Farmer’s Arms is a lovely pub with 4 rooms above. We had a twin room for 2 nights and was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the internet was virtually non existent, which I understand is an issue in the area, but caused difficulties planning. Car park is huge and great location as 5 minutes drive to Harlyn Bay Beach and 10 minutes to Padstow. Highly recommend The Golden Lion for dinner in Padstow and absolutely was a hidden culinary gem 💎

GGuest UserThe hotel reception was clearly more golf club than hotel. The room was small, and there was a lack of attention to detail. There was a stain on the carpet, a blind that didn't fit the window so didn't keep the light out - curtains would make it feel a lot more cosy. The bathroom and shower were a bit tired. The cooked breakfast was good, but the rest of the selection was limited. Probably wouldn't stay again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

^^w^I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I loved waking up to the beautiful sea view in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. While it's not right in the center of town, the bus stop is just a few minutes away, making it very convenient to get around.

UuulissiThe hotel is in a nice area, but unfortunately the parking situation is terrible. There is one parking lot on a sloped road, owned by the hotel, which we didn't know we could use. Very narrow road and not clearly signaled. The other parking close by only accepts coins. Room is small. Worth staying for the view, which is breathtaking.

NNilda GodinWe love our little cabin at the Pirates Inn, we got everything we need, plenty of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, even a mini fridge. The wifi signal is weak in the cabin but was very strong inside the pub though. Good food, very clean accommodation ,great location, highly recommended when you are visiting West Cornwall.

AAlanBrilliant location and host. Feel most at home here with ocean breeze and views. Wonderful breakfast as well. Don’t miss the yogurt pots. We stayed in a double room which was clean and well stocked. The only complaint is the best. Could feel every spring and sprung. Would stay again .
