Lovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk.  The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep  To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps.  Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option.  All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

A must stay for couples! The view was incredible (you can see in the photos below)! We also had a fantastic meal at The Rockfish restaurant, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient for all the shops/bars/restaurants in the harbour. The parking provided by the hotel was at the harbour itself, and was very convenient. We used self check-in, it was so quick and easy we could just get on with our short trip and waste no time! At breakfast we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, aside from the delicious (made to order) breakfast, the service was incredible. Highly recommend!

Don’t miss out on this Devonshire Gem From the moment I arrived, the delightful hosts made me feel very welcome and at home The bar/lounge area is the perfect informal place to flop down and relax with a well stocked honesty bar, TV and board games galore Not only was my room comfortable and spotless, but Shona dishes up a lovely breakfast tailored to your own tastes and requirements, she really does make breakfast just for you! Cosy, clean, and with a warm welcome for all, treat yourself to an exceptionally great stay at a reasonable price.

If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! The hotel is very close to the station, so it was not difficult even with my carrier. The hotel staff was very friendly and tried to provide me with good service. The hotel room was nice, but the shared bathroom was inconvenient. Of course, there weren't many guests and it wasn't crowded, so I didn't have any inconvenience in using the bathroom, but it was a little inconvenient to have to leave the room to use the bathroom. Other than that, the hotel breakfast was good, and everything else was good.

Wonderful stay Sam the barman was a superstar rescuing us from the cliff walk before dark. Thanku Sam for Yr kindness and help and carrying our bag! Overall stay was amazing. Clean and fresh room. Breakfast was outstanding with loads of choice. Service was fabulous. The cleaner was so helpful when we needed info Thanks everyone. And Sam we are so grateful. We thought we may have to camp on South West path over night!!!

We booked a room with a sea view. Clearly stated this in the booking and on Trip. Apparently that means nothing according to the manager and the fact that you can book one doesn’t mean you’ll get it he said. I doubt there are sea views from any room as the pub is up a side road. Still, very good location. The member of staff who greeted us could not have been nicer. Close to good restaurants.

Late review here. Very very nice welcome from the owners - couldn’t have been nicer. Exactly as described. Sadly had to leave early in the mornings but heard from another guest that the breakfast was delicious. Easy to find, ample parking both on street and nearby huge car park if needed. Quiet, yet only 5 minutes walk from shops and pubs etc. Value for money would stay again.

Stayed in Room 3 with roll top bath and Harbour View, absolutely stunning, better even than pics. Jo made us feel extremely welcome, the breakfast was really delicious and plentiful. Range of choices, all freshly cooked to order. Having spent just one night here I would happily book again and come stay for longer. Avoid Wednesday in Feb as most restaurants closed.
