I was so happy that the Bestrahon entrance ticket was free when I used the Viking Cafe. They exchanged the entrance ticket for the number of people. The breakfast was also satisfactory... If the weather had been good, I would have seen the Aurora at the Aurora Mecca, but it was a shame.
As Aurora chaser, we can observe from inside the room and keep warm while waiting, of course the best angle is still outside the apartment.
Normal sedan car can reach the place despite the road has lots of holes.
One of the shared bathroom is using infrared sensor light which is annoying because inside the shower area, the sensor could not detect my presence, hence it always gets dark in the middle of shower and I have to wave my hand outside the curtain. Nevertheless the bathroom has awesome scenery.
Kitchen are clean when we arrived, but the tools are abit wear off, they are usable though.
Hostel for accommodation**** when you pass east of Iceland. There are very well equipped accommodation and several common areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. Malely soundproofed, too noise, the rooms give the living room. The shower is small, the toilets and showers are in the lower floor, which generates people accumulating.
Facilities: All available, except that there is no washing machine. The room has heating.
Hygienic: very clean
Environment: beautiful! 20 meters to the lake, the mountain. The picture is the view of the house terrace.
Service: Very good.
The overall environment of the hotel is still good, suitable as a place to stay around Iceland, the room is simple or even a bit rudimentary, and the front desk is not in the hotel, the price is not dripping. But this kind of bungalow-style hotel on the first floor is really suitable for chasing the aurora ~~
The most satisfying hotel I booked during this trip to Iceland, it exceeded expectations. The room is large, fully equipped, comfortable, and very cost-effective. Breakfast was good. If you see a lot of puffins here between June and August. The hotel has two types of cabins and suites. The check-in reception is very hidden, so you have to look carefully.
Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!
Located in Djupivogur, Lindarbrekka is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Bulandstindur and The Eggs of Merry Bay.
Take in the views from a terrace and a garden and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access. Additional amenities at this cottage include concierge services and a picnic area.
Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 4 guestrooms, featuring kitchenettes with refrigerators and stovetops. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include desks and microwaves, and housekeeping is provided on request.
Excellent location near the end of the street, with nice views of the river and mountain/waterfalls. Room was a little too squeezy even for a family of four (with two small kids), but spotless and cozy. Common area was well stocked with beverages and ideal for socialising.
Very Good
