From July 16th, my family of four stayed for 3 nights and 4 days during the Golden Week holiday. When choosing accommodation, my family and I, being quite tall, usually look for places where everyone has their own bed. The bunk bed here had a queen-sized bottom bunk, which was very comfortable. It's close to the city center, and there are two Lawson convenience stores nearby, as well as a grocery store right next door, so we had no inconveniences at all. The breakfast offered a brunch style selection and could also be taken out, which was great as we could eat it in our room. Fresh towels were provided daily. Although they didn't clean the room, they would take out the trash if we left it outside. There was also a washing machine with a dryer, which we used once, and my child kept saying how much they loved the scent of the capsule detergent ^^ We traveled by subway or Uber, and it was a reasonable distance to everywhere we wanted to go. It was also quiet at night, so we slept well. The only thing that could be improved is the shelf between the bunk beds – it was quite dusty, even in an easily accessible area. If that one thing were improved, it would be a perfect place to stay!!!

The location is fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk from the station directly to the hotel. Even if you're out late and take the last train back, there's a convenient store on the ground floor, so you don't have to worry about not finding anything to eat if you get hungry. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance. The room was very clean, with a large window offering beautiful snow views. The service attitude, communication, and problem-solving were all excellent and quick. There are several different shops and delicious food options on the second floor too. All in all, it's just great!

Cosy, retro feels with good amenities (slippers, wifi, refrigerator etc, public coffee/hot water/tea machine), good value for money given the location. Beautiful garden with sakura trees. Also there's a seicomart next door, which is very convenient. Building is rather quaint and homely, which I prefer to the cookie cutter hotels closer to the commercial stretch of Lake Toya. There was a public bath that I was a little too intimidated/tired to use, but definitely check it out if it's your thing. Very friendly, nice staff who checked us in and out.

We were here scouting a bit for the coming winter and really liked the location very close to the slopes and also a few restaurants a short walk away. Downside perhaps that no Lawson or similar in the immediate surroundings but maybe there was some other minimart around the lift station. Just spent a night here so not much time to drift around the area. Easy parking in front, fast check in and a kind offering to help haul the suitcases upstairs. Hotel is in super good shape, felt almost brand new. Nice public area with couches and a fireplace. Room was good size and comfortable for 3 but especially for a ski resort it really lacked storage for clothes. Could easily have fit something under the bunk bed. Also in the bath theres no place to hang towels or clothes, just a really tiny foldable drying rack. Room fridge was not cooling either and pretty small. Breakfast was set menu and nice for this stay but for winter I would rather have a buffet to load up for a day on the mountain. Might be though they change for winter and i realize that buffet may not be a sustainable option for low season and few guests. All in all it was a good stay and we will definitely keep this in mind for the next visit to Furano 👍🏼

This review is for accomodation at BASE SHIRAOI at 199-327 Kitayoshihara, Shiraoi, Shiraoi District, Hokkaido 059-0923, Japan. We were told to change to BASE SHIRAOI on the day of checking in due to paint smell at Manyi's Onsen House. BASE SHIRAOI has everything we need. There are soy sauce, coffee beans, and wasabi, The host has even prepared child toilet seat and sanitary pads! LOL. The unit is air-conditioned. We still used it though it was around 18 degrees during the night because we didn't want to open the windows. Washing machine and dryer. The unit has a dinning table and a big coffee table. A table outside the house good for BBQ. You can dry your clothes at the entrance area, designed to hang big winter clothes. The only issue is the private onsen and shower area that is not so private. The neighbor could potentially see you in your best naked shape through the transparent glass roof. We covered the glass window in the shower area with the styrofoam covers for the onsen. LOL. Convenient stores are about 3 minutes. Overall stay is enjoyable as the unit is big enough for 10 people. Quiet environment. Enough space to park few cars outside the house.

It is a B&B run by ********* and speaks Chinese. Dinner and breakfast are charged separately. Dinner is 4,500 yen and breakfast is 1,500 yen. I went there once in autumn and winter, and the food has not changed. If you are staying consecutively or going there for the second time, it is recommended to inform the owner in advance, and they will update some dishes for you. The room is a bit old and the public bathroom on the first floor is not open. If you have a car at night, it’s very convenient to go to Shinei-no-oka to watch the stars!

I am extremely disappointed with the service and the misleading room information provided by this property. I specifically booked a twin room with two double beds. However, upon arrival, the room only had one double bed. This is completely different from what was advertised and what I paid for. When I contacted the property to raise this issue, they insisted that the room has two double beds and can fit four people. In reality, there was only one double bed and a sofa. Later, the person in charge claimed the sofa could be used as a sofa bed. This is not the same as having two double beds. This is misleading advertising and very unprofessional. If the room only has one double bed and one sofa bed, it should be clearly stated. Customers should not have to find out the truth only after arriving. Very poor communication and unacceptable service. I would not recommend this property to others.

I stayed on a Saturday night and was warmly welcomed by a sweet petite lady at check-in. I wish I’d asked her name. The building’s exterior looked like something out of Ghibli movie, and the interior felt like a cozy tavern from an anime. The room, toilet, and bath were all very clean. Highly recommended for budget travelers who value cleanliness and comfort. I wish I’d had time to try a meal at their restaurant. It looked inviting..

The room was impressively spacious, allowing for plenty of movement and comfort. The quiet surroundings made for a restful stay, which I greatly appreciated after a long day of exploring. One of the highlights for us was the laundromat, making it easy to keep our clothes fresh during our trip. The location; the main attractions, dining options, and shopping areas are about 2km away. While this might seem a bit far, it wasn't a major inconvenience. The spacious, comfortable room, quiet place to stay made up for the distance.
