This minshuku is located quite near Miyanoura port, the owners are super nice and they have a public bath that is perfect after a trekking day in Yakushima.

Everyone is very friendly and it's nice at home. The rice is very good and the beach is nearby, so it is perfect for spending a luxurious time. This room is a wooden house with high ceilings and a touch of woody fragrance. The ceiling fan invites you to travel. Taking a step to the balcony, the stars look very beautiful, and the sounds of various creatures come and go. I feel that I have found something forgotten in my city life. I want to live longer. Thank you very much for picking up from the airport. If you come to Ammei, please be sure to stay, I will recommend it.

It’s only a 6-minute walk from Kagoshimachuo Station! I stayed in the Tatami Room which can be relatively small for people with big luggages. Like other hostels, the toilets, shower rooms, and common space are shared among the floor. However, I do find the shower area a little small. Many of us wouldn’t enter the shower area if somebody was using the sink because the sink was right in front of one shower cubicle HAHAHA. And yes, there’s only one sink in the common shower area. I would recommend this place if you are doing a short stay in Kagoshima because there’s lots of shops and restaurants around the area! By the way, it’s located along the same lane as the famous “tonkatsu kawakyu とんかつ川久”. Please try it because it’s the best tonkatsu I’ve ever eaten!

I loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

Check-out was at 12 o'clock, so I was able to relax. Thank you. It was close to Tenmonkan, so it was very safe and convenient to go drinking and eating. Next time, I'd like to shop at Donki and use the kitchen.

I thought it was a strict rule even though the ship was canceled even though the inn was said to be unnecessary. You need to be careful when canceling. However, the inn was very kind, so I would definitely like to go to Yoron Island. Next, I will consider measures such as making a reservation directly so that this does not happen.

Because of a homestay, I fell in love with an island. Luana House is backed by the mountains and facing the sea, watching the mountains and the sea, watching the sunset, watching the sky full of stars, satisfying the appearance of all the houses in the dream. Beautiful boss, handsome boss, the ultimate and exquisite room and service details. What touched me was that we didn't tell the time of arrival at all. The bus was still in confusion. However, due to the characteristics of Yakushima, where it rains a lot, it would be nice if there were tools to dry hiking boots in the accommodation, but this place has a strong ryokan personality, so if you are looking for hiking, it would be better to review other accommodations.
