Siem Reap Wat Bo Area
Sala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel. The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether you’re traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!
Angkor Piseth Homestay

Angkor
The room was clean and tidy, very quiet, the toiletries were fully prepared, the sheets and bedding seemed to be silk fabrics, skin-friendly, slightly slippery, very comfortable, air conditioning, electric fans were provided, the accommodation was very close to Angkor Wat, and two knives a day of bicycle rental were provided. The boss's mother is like our aunt Daqi in the street. It is so interesting. The boss has three children and is very polite. I will say hello when I meet him in the morning. The downside is that there is no TV. It is estimated that there will be some regrets to see the local TV programs. Then there is always a wild dog in the alley. The first day may be born and barked. It is not here. The whole Siem Reap is full of wild dogs. Most of them are not barking. The inn has two rooms, one is two floors, there is air conditioning upstairs, up and down the stairs need to use a small staircase, not recommended, because even if the air conditioner is turned on upstairs, the downstairs is very hot, after the night, go to Angkor Wat early the next morning, go downstairs is still an instant sweat, Recommend to live on the flat layer inside. Overall a very cost-effective inn.

Choosing this place to stay was probably the best decision we could ever make. First, the place has a swimming pool. Second, breakfast that can be adjusted to your needs (the basic set is one main dish + bread + fruit + coffee). Third, it is 10 minutes away on foot from the Giant Ibis bus stop, which is very convenient. Fourth, the rooms are clean and have everything you might need. We came to the hotel as early as at 5 am, and Rithy welcomed us, upgraded our room and let us check in early. He actually spent all three days with us, booking all the attractions, providing cold water and taking us to every single location from the early morning till late in the evening on his tuk-tuk for a reasonable price. The experience was great, and Rithy contributed a lot to that 😊 Thank you for a wonderful welcome!

Siem Reap Downtown
A beautiful budget villa in the heart of the city with great walkability to the markets, pub street, restaurants etc. The staff were the nicest and very communicative before even getting there. They even sent someone to give me a ride from the bus station to the hotel. The rooms are clean and basic. Would recommend living here when on a budget! Of note, there is no elevator and some rooms are on the 3rd floor so keep that in mind when traveling with large suitcases.

Siem Reap Downtown
Five Rose Siem Reap Hostel

Like the rest of Cambodia's tourism industry, Five Roses is recovering from the effects of the Covid19 pandemic. Not all of their services are up and running, but they plan to reopen their restaurant in the next month. Otherwise they are back in business with clean, comfortable rooms, excellent WIFI, a full travel and tour service and a nice little pool to cool off in. For $12-$13 a night it's a steal. The staff have been great and the manager Mr. Chanty has organized bus tickets to Phnom Penh and Kampong Thom and is a fund of local knowledge. I love this place and have really enjoyed my stay here. I'm happy to give it the heartiest of recommendations.

Abi was an incredible tour guide! My partner and I were referred to him as a tour guide for our Angkor Way experience by a trusted friend and resident of Siem Reap. We were not disappointed. He picked us up where we were staying and took care of everything! Abi is a knowledgeable guide with an encyclopedic knowledge of Cambodia’s history. He is also genuinely friendly and charming. Seriously, our trip to Angkor Wat would have not been as deep and fun had we not chosen Abi. He is also well known as a rescuer of cats and a helper of Siem Reap’s children. We give him our highest recommendation!

I was worried whether to stay at the airport on the first night, but I decided here because of my heart. I know the goodness of a Japanese inn, but I knew myself that I couldn't do that today, so I thought about throwing me into the Japanese inn. Everyone had their shoes peeled off at the entrance. The inn was usually a fan-only room, but this was good for the time. The clasp that prevents it from opening inside was crushed and was meaningless. The frontman was kind and polite. There were no people in the surveillance but I was looking at the camera and I felt the security was OK. Breakfast was normal, but the proof was dark and I felt that it was a little downside. I could only see the roof next to the room window.

We were very good. The staff is smiling to die, all super sympathetic. They offer cheap excursions even if we didn't use them. The room was very spacious, with air conditioning and toiletries in the bathroom, hot water and coffee and tea boiler. The price is very low, and there is also a small swimming pool that is very useful to refresh. The whole structure and the room were really clean. It is, a nice living!
