Heaven on earth! Absolutely spoiled every morning with breakfast on their rooftop overlooking the famous Ella Rock. Possibly the best bedroom view I’ve ever seen. We travelled in April which is notoriously muggy and hot, but the electric fans are very powerful and kept us nice and cool in the evenings, they even have a sleep setting on them! Couldn’t have asked for much more. 5 min TukTuk to and from town (500sr or £1.50). Or a peaceful 10 minute walk. 11/10 would recommend

The female owner's hospitality was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay. She gave us information about local sightseeing spots, and when we told her we were going to Kandy next, she also shared some of the highlights there, making this a fond memory of our trip to Sri Lanka. We got caught in the rain while sightseeing in Ella, and when we arrived at the inn soaking wet, the warm Ceylon tea she had prepared for us was delicious and comforting. It was a perfect stay without any complaints, and we'll come again.

It's close to the station so you can walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. The location is good. There is no cooler probably because the location of the hotel is cool. Also, it was cold at night because there were no hangings such as blankets. Also, the amount of water in the shower was small and lukewarm. However, the staff was kind.

The place is a long ride up the mountain on a narrow winding road… (and unfortunately the local PickMe App has no use in Ella!) The food service was good but a bit pricey for the area of Sri Lanka. The “Single Room“ was as rather small and had an all glass “front door” and there was no fan or air conditioning… so with the open ventilation ducts most conversations from anywhere in the building could be heard inside of the room… Overall it was pleasant but not as nice as I had imagined from the listing…

It was a beautiful inn with a very high altitude. It is an inn where the car dispatch app cannot be used very much, but when I contacted the staff of the inn, I arranged a convenient tuk tuk driver to go to the area around Ela station for 1100 rupees one way. In fact, no matter where I went, they put me on 300 to 500 rupees cheaper than other drivers. The room was clean, but it was a pity that the shower toilet door was a little broken ＆ only lukewarm water. However, the outside scenery was really beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. I think it is a good inn overall, such as price.

We really enjoyed staying in this gestahouse ! Thought to stay there for a couple of days, but the temperature rose and had to recover 5 days :) from what would be noted for those on their transport , a pretty cool entrance to the gestahous, especially for the first time insurgently, then you get used to. The roaring , and the downhill , the bike can slosh if it slosh on the lonely turns. Likewise the car is difficult with the habit will be turned , if you are on the car, you have to drive well in narrow places to get in and turn. Breakfasts the host of the gesta cooks very delicious , in 5 days not bored, though repeated) beautiful look! Ella herself is far from civilization but to us the insurance doctor came the next morning on request. For the products too, you don't go either to go on a bike , or go but minutes 20-25) there is a short way through waiting, to the cafe can get quickly, but to the hill! In principle I recommend, the main thing is not to hurt. And the hearing is normal, the main thing is that your neighbors don't loudly snorkel

This was my first time in this city and my stay here was amazing. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, offering a full immersion in nature that you can't find in big cities. The atmosphere and accommodation were very private. The owners provided excellent service, making me feel like family. The rooms were large and spacious, not at all intimidating. On my arrival, I requested to try on traditional Sri Lankan clothing, and the accommodation provided it for me. I was extremely impressed.

This place is incredible 😍 I don't understand the ratings because our experience at this wonderful hotel was a special treat in itself. Everything was excellent. The nice young man who greeted us upon check-in was the one who brought our luggage up to our room. He immediately gave us his contact information and was always available. (How were we planning to get around, whether we needed a transfer. He suggested some delicious places from our list and recommended a nice restaurant.) Yes, this is an upsell, but in my opinion, these are very important things in hospitality. Delicious and generous breakfast. The coconut pancakes were sooooo delicious; we've tried them in many other families, but here, they were amazing 😍 Breakfast on the rooftop with a wonderful view. Tea and coffee, not in mugs like everywhere else, but a kettle! It was a pleasure, thank you ☺️ The room was very large! It was spotless! Soap, paper towels, and bottled water were provided. The room even had a fumigator, but we didn't see any insects. No ants or anything else (so far, this is the first place on the island without such neighbors). There's a closet. The room has a balcony and it's not hot at all (you realize this when you're coming from the coast). The location is fantastic. A busy street is a couple of minutes' walk away, but the hotel itself is quiet. This was important to us. There are plenty of places to have a delicious lunch in the area. The 9th Arch Bridge is a 15-minute walk away. It's 15-17 minutes to Little Adam's Peak. It's a truly wonderful place. The squirrels chirp in the mornings. It's a local vibe, and I think I'll miss it. This is the fifth hotel we have settled in Sri Lanka and, frankly, the best. A nice smell of fresh tree, clean, pleasant rooms, high ceilings and good air conditioning. And the main thing is blankets, not all hotels have blankets. We were met very welcoming, treated with coconuts. The only minus in this hotel is the hearing of neighbors. Very thin walls and at night are particularly uncomfortable, especially if neighbors lie late to sleep. The breakfast was very delicious and we were offered to try a delicious traditional breakfast from acute coconut straw with vegetables - very delicious. And here is a good coffee and very delicious ginger tea. I will definitely return to this hotel, it turned out to be a great addition to our visit to Ella.

Good for value. The location is very good, it’s at end of the town, convenient to go hiking and the restaurants. It’s quiet at night. The room is very clean. The owner is friendly. He gave us a pot of tea to welcome us when we arrive. Also he provided us the bus schedule information and advices for the time in Ella. It will better if there is a kettle so we can try Ceylon tea we bought.
