The environment is quiet and beautiful, right opposite Lake Te Anau. We had no choice as all other accommodations nearby were fully booked, and this was the last room available. If you don't have high expectations and just need a place to sleep for a night or two, it's a great experience. Parking is available right outside the door, and the price is very affordable. There's a shared kitchen and bathrooms. It might be even cheaper during the off-season. Definitely recommended.
We had a spacious room, room has fantastic sea view, room is 1 minute walk to the beach, can see dolphins in the evening. Motel near to the Penguin walk area and few hiking trails.Kitchen has stove, hot plate but no oven. Only knew the washer available on common area after check out. As our car break down, friendly host allowed us to use the common toilet and offer us drinks while waiting for technical.

Was priced very cheap - room clean but very dated , camp kitchen needed a good scrubbing, broken amenities and no washing machine working - BUT hospitality was great and restaurant attached gave us one of the nicest and cheapest meals we had - took some famous sausages to cook away with us.
We were in hostel so was cheapest accommodation they had - 4 people room was only $100
Although the individual sites are a bit small, the facilities are great, complete with a garden featuring lettuce and even a pizza oven!
It's a shame we couldn't fully enjoy the sauna. It takes time to heat up, especially if no one used it in the previous slot. I recommend checking if it's already on from the previous session next time.
We spent one night, having driven down from Wanaka and intending to continue to the Milford Sound tour the following day. Donna was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The history of the building was fascinating, and the antique decor and trinkets added to the charm. Breakfast the following morning was great- wonderful scrambled eggs. Thank you!
The hotel proprietress is enthusiastic and will introduce you to the surrounding situation, introduce the main attractions on the way to the fjord park, help us ask about the local traffic conditions, and take care of driving slowly and pay attention to safety. Because the hearing is not enough, she still takes the trouble to write to us. Thank you so much. The restaurant introduced was good, and the popular restaurant in the town. Although we rushed to the boat time at 10 o'clock, we could not use his breakfast order that friends highly recommended, but early in the morning, the boss and the proprietress were busy in the restaurant. Thank you.

Location: The hotel is located across from Lake Te Anau which also leads to Manapouri which is our intended destination for Doubtful Sound cruise. Parking: The 2 BR cabin was conveniently located at the front of the park (which is huge) and parked right in front of the cabin. Rooms: The cabin is split into 3 distinct areas - 1 large bedroom with queen bed, 1 bathroom in center of cabin, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds - since I was with family we had the whole cabin with the bathroom in center of the 2 cabins. Facilities: It was nice that they have fast Wifi and laundry rooms across the park. Used the laundry facilities and it was well maintained. We also rented their lockers to store our luggage as we had to take an overnight cruise at Doubtful Sound.
Super huge room however need a long time for the heater to warm up the room. Very quiet thus u can sleep well till day break. Flat room throughout thus easy to reach RealNZ for cruise and city centre for meals and groceries. Bathroom and toilet are a 50m away depend on where you are housed during your stay thus a bit challenging during winter. Mike and Christina, the General Manager for Tasman Holiday Park, are extremely kind and helpful thus helped earned a lot of respect and points for this stay however no respect the owner of Tasman Holiday Park as he sucks in personality imo.
Clean, warm, friendly and good location. We stayed in cabin with private bathroom. Shared kitchen facility available and staying at site gives you 10% discount at diner across road. Not fancy but very reasonably priced. Free car park. 5 min walk to lake, restaurants and supermarket.
We came here for a two night stop at Te Anau to Milford sounds. Fabulous vintage house with recent renovation and fully equipped kitchen and laundry. We had a wonderful at this villa. It’s easy to get to town centre, around 3-4 mins drive. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood. We were even able to stargaze just outside the house. I would come back again if I happen to pass by Te Anau.
