"On Trip.com one of the amenities listed for this room is a bathroom. All rooms over some sort of bathroom, no hostel will not give access to a bathroom. So when you list it as an amenity it usually means it is attached to the room. Nowhere in the description did it say this was a shared bathroom and the photos make it look like its part of the room offering. When I arrived I learned it was shared. I also had a strange noise in my room and called the number given and was told someone would come check with me the next day but nothing happened and no one contacted me again. The room was generally clean, not as nice as it looks in the photos, with a strong smell, but not a bad one just strong, and the walls are really thin so you can hear the TV and talking from the neighbor. Overall it was fine but not at all what I was expecting based on how it was presented on Trip.com."

Casa de Santa Comba is absolutely lush. The staff are very relaxed and flexible, having to arrive late was no problem, and they were very accommodating of us at breakfast as were vegetarian and there aren’t many vegetarians in Portugal! They were also very accommodating when we requested a fridge for our wine. The building and surrounding estate is beautiful, with lots of animals around – geese, horses, dogs, swallows, fish in the ponds – and lots of lemon trees bursting with fruit and beautiful flower bushes everywhere. A dreamy place, would love to stay here again. Will miss the bright morning song of the canary in their office which you can hear from the breakfast room!

The room needs to be small, but it can be very good. Almost all the attractions are walked downstairs. There are many foods nearby. Although there are not many brands of breakfast in the hotel, it is very exquisite.

We had a perfect stay from the warm reception to the full and delicious breakfast, the room was clean and quite comfortable, the outdoor space was beautiful, with a swimming pool waiting for us.

Quinta da Cancela, it is a small manor, it is antique and the service is first-class, 170 euros a two-bedroom and one-living cabin includes breakfast and dinner, there is a staff specially reception and service for our dinner and breakfast, the dishes are very fresh and delicious, the portion is good!
