Mumsa Beach Resort & Restaurant

This hotel and restaurant is in a lovely setting on the beach a little way outside the village of Huay Yang. You need to hire a scooter or Salang as it’s a long walk anywhere. The room I had was tired and needed a make over. I have given it 4 stars purely due to a very low cost. Better suited to back packers. However staff were very friendly and helpful.

Prachuap Khiri Khan City Center
An older property with rustic charm overlooking a small bay with a fishing fleet moored a few hundred metres south and a temple to the north. Nearest restaurants 4 minutes walk, with more about 1 km further. Host is immensely cheerful. Coffee and toast for breakfast. Bring your toothbrush. Lots of sea food restaurants and coffee shops in nearby Prachuap Khiri Khan, plus a long quiet esplanade overlooking splendid views. Excellent cycling territory. Lots to explore if you like nature.

Hua Hin Night Market
This is without a doubt the funkiest hotel I have ever stayed in in my life. It's cluttered with huge heavy wooden furniture and artwork. It looks like it's held together by tape and staples. There is no pool as shown in the picture. The lady who runs the place is friendly and can speak limited English. It's close to the night market, 711, and eateries. It's in a maze of small streets. It's hot as hell. Remove your shoes before entering

What a great location. Close to a walking street, but no noise. Walking distance to the beach and train station. Rooms have everything you need. Reception area is used to teach Thai students English. Coming downstairs to be greeted by these students was a lovely experience and should be embraced.

years ago for sure. I thought this one was especially important for people who are traveling with their pets to be aware that the accommodations set aside for pets are drastically different than the accommodations for people without pets that are depicted online. There are no photos for you anywhere to see these units in advance (I do a lot of research when I choose a new hotel and I look at every possible Internet outlet for information and photos, reviews, etc. and I look at every photo very closely. and for further information I am a photographer so I know quite clearly what a photo depicts and what it doesn’t) and when I got there and was shown to the little house designated for dogs/pets and I looked at three of them, I found them to be nothing like the standard that was represented online… Not even close ! They were super dark and dingy. The furniture was very worn and draperies were very worn and tattered, and just super low quality of everything in the units. Things were clean looking, but with a very strong mildew smell. The bathroom could not be much bigger than an airplane bathroom and a lot less nice. It’s my understanding that the rooms on the Internet that you see online that are around the pool are much newer and those are probably what is being represented by the photographs. The problem is that the units that are designated for animals are not shown and that was the big surprise and a big disappointment. Clearly these are the very very old rooms that may have been part of the original hotel. It’s sad that the hotel doesn’t see the benefit of upgrading those rooms as well. My hope is that the Hotel may also see this and Reconsider renovating/upgrading these older cottages. The hotel staff were very helpful and returned my money in full when I told him I just simply couldn’t stay there. And for some background I’ve lived in Thailand for many many years. I’ve traveled a lot, and I’ve traveled with my pets a lot and I’ve never seen anything at this price that was this poor.

The accommodation is in a very good location near the sea. The service is very good, the staff are kind, attentive to customers. The room is fan type, the room is clean, the room price is reasonable. The room facilities are moderate. Because there is no hair dryer It is recommended to bring a hair dryer if you want to play in the water. Facilities are provided according to the basic hotel. generally small, there are soap,shampoo,tissues,2 bottles of water,2 glass, hanger and drying racks in the room.

· Excellent small hotel above water, on the historic points of what remains from the old Hua Hin neighborhoods. If so, empty it and put everything in the closed board. Quarter with bars and restaurants but quiet this September end. I didn't ask how the water heating worked because the cold showers fit me! The matala is a little too firm for me, but the noise of the waves helps you to sleep. They are not too dare to disturb them because they often sleep on the counter or are captivated by their phone! The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. It is absolutely necessary that this area is protected because there are still old wooden houses.
