This is a very distinctive homestay! A few minutes drive from the Volcano Park, the environment is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, frogs and birds call, like living in the forest, the bed is very large and comfortable, and the sleep is very sweet!

Very warm homestay, good breakfast. The host and his wife were hospitable and introduced us to the food around us. Although they encountered bad weather, they still felt the enthusiasm of the host. Watching the sunset at the hotel was beautiful. The photos showed the sunset afterglow.

Tremendous space & person! I arrived late (after 8pm) as a surprise for my Family Reunion & so after dinner. The caretaker met me kindly after I got into the door (clear & simple instructions were given) to help me to get my bearings, carry my 2 carryons to my room & lead me to my room. He also provided a cold bottle of water, MUCH appreciated! I found the place to be very clean, spacious & well-organized with simple instructions in the bathroom, kitchen & shared spaces. I appreciate the simplicity & cleanliness, while still giving me my space! TY again for this last-minute booking that turned into a true treasure for myself as an introvert needing space, cleanliness & simplicity. Mahalo & May ke Akua bless U always! Dawn

Typical American country style homestay. The landlord is hospitable, the service is intimate, the house facilities are complete, and the meals are rich and varied. The biggest highlight is watching the sunset in the outdoor corridor and seeing the beautiful scenery.

煙煙燻紅鯡魚I went to Fern Forest Getaway after my visit to Volcano. It's kinda remote, and the road conditions are bad. But the landlord was quite friendly and showed us around the house. Facilities were quite old but expected as it's cheap. 4/5

Dan and Heidi are really friendly and welcoming. One of their sons used to work in Korea, so they seem to be happier when you tell them you’re Korean. The real reason to come here is the warm, homemade breakfast. They bring you fruit from a nearby tree and give you a variety of menus so you can eat until you’re full. They also serve Kona coffee, which we refilled three times.

くくーーThe receptionist was very kind and I felt good from the morning! The check-in time was after 8pm, but they gladly accepted after I emailed them. The room was very spacious and clean. The water pressure in the shower was a little weak, but there was warm water. I'd like to stay here again when I come to the Big Island!

It is in a great location for visiting Volcano National Park~! Black Sand Beach is just a 10-minute walk away!!! It’s so good!! The accommodation is clean and the staff are friendly😍 The weather was also great during my stay☀️

不太滿意的是房間裏面的味道太差了。儘管睡覺之前開窗通風了一個多小時，夜裡也一直開着窗户，但是整夜房間裏還是有一股尿騷味兒。希望以後能夠改進為盼。
