Perhentian Island Resort

I stick to say that this resort is certainly a bit date and has some small defects (for example, the wooden beds on the beach are all broken)... we say that it would need a good general maintenance. Apart from this ...I can only recommend this structure: the beach in front of the resort is one of the most beautiful of the island. A few minutes walk you can reach other resorts on the island ... less expensive but Their beach is not comparable to the Pir. We took the front beach room and it was the best choice we could do: sleeping by feeling the sound of the sea waves does not have a price! The room was very spacious, and every day, when we were breakfast, the room was set up and the handwheels were changed.
Alunan Resort All Inclusive (2 Night Min.)

Booked All Inclusive package. The staff were generally warm, both in kuala besut office and Perhentian island, there were a lot of stairs and very steep ramps to go to rooms. The room we had is spacious and there are stairs that leads up to the balcony.nice view and can hang wet clothes to dry. The package includes unlimited food and beverage, no in room dining. The food is average overall, we didn't get to have western/Italian food for dinner due to the weather, the restaurant was closed.Wonder why can't they just cook at the main kitchen(Bayu restaurant). So we sort of lose out here. However, we did get to have it on the last night there, once out of 3 nights. The teh tarik at bayu restaurant was nice. Our package included unlimited snorkeling trips too, the trips are twice a day, with different islands for each trip.Unfortunately in Sept, the weather was bad, 🌧 every evening .Snorkeling trip and sunset cruise were cancelled. So we did batik painting, played congkak, foosball, adopt corals and just hang out at the beach. Oh, glass bottom tour is highly recommended as we get to see and have better understanding on the corals. In summary, we enjoyed our time in Perhentian but I don't think that the package is worth it if you go in Sept. Especially if you don't take alcoholic drinks.
Mimpi Perhentian

This is my third time staying at Mimpi Perhentian. It is sad to share that my experience this round is the worst as compared to the first two trips. There is no toiletries refill after the room was made up because the items are out of stock. I do understand that it closing season soon because of the monsoon. However, I did pay for the room at full price. Why do I have to be the collateral damage of the weather? The bed sheet and comforter have a smell which is caused by the sheet not drying properly. On my fourth day, the room was not made up when I returned to my room at noon. I called the front desk and told them to give me a new set of towels and omit the housekeeping. At around 4pm, the housekeeping staff knocked on my door and wanted to make up the room. Hence I am not sure if they have initially forgotten to make my room or if they only have one staff to do housekeeping. On top of that, I had a rude encounter with the restaurant manager. I went diving daily at 8am hence I have made a special request to pack my breakfast (which is included in the room package) and I will collect it at noon time. On the first day, the packed food portion was too little so I requested extra fruits on the second day with the restaurant manager in the morning. She said ok and when I collected my food at noon, it was not packed. Hence I asked the waitress on duty to pack it for me instead. On the third day, I saw the same restaurant manager again and I explained to her that she didn’t pack the extra fruits for me. She said I was not allowed to pack the food after I have eaten at the restaurant. I told her that I go diving at 8am, and I have never sat down to eat. She started to raise her voice and told me that I cannot pack the extra fruits because customers are only allowed to have one portion of fruits (which looks like a portion for a child). Which I find ridiculous because I get to dine an unlimited portion if I dine in. Furthermore, I did not request the packed food for fun. I will have digestive problems if I eat and dive. The restaurant manager was not only rude and inconsiderate, it is most disappointing that she judged me when all I did was take care of my health so that I can enjoy my dives and holiday.
Ombak Dive Resort Perhentian Island

Perfect location, right on the beach to watch the sunset. Everything you need is nearby and Long Beach a 10 minute walk from Ombak. Comfy bed and air conditioning all day. Friendly helpful staff always available. Top class full day snorkelling trip booked at reception, our skipper Mat, a local islander, he made the day, helpful with the gear and in the water made sure we saw everything, coral, turtles, nemos and sharks, cannot recommend Mat enough, thank you ☺️.
Perhentian Tropicana Inn

The spirit of adaptation is good, it is good that in Malaysia the standards are lower, but there is a limit to everything! With the exception of a boy at the checkout who was kind. At your arrival you are asked to have a 50 Myr caper as a security for the room key. (which has a trave as a key holder!! Very comfortable to carry behind) Once in the room you realize that a toaa was perhaps more comfortable here instead of welcome you there is the smell of muffa! The bathroom will be 1 square metre ... The shower soft is practically on the water ... so once the shower is completely flooded.. the washing vapour will be 20 cm. The hygienic card that gives you in the hand at check-in, you must keep it out of the bathroom otherwise it is completely wet and the same applies to towels! The reception is active from 7 to 19:30 if you need something afterwards even if they are behind the gate and you see them and they see you, they don't answer! Wi-Fi has so much board that says not complain because it is so much that they offer it for free! Unexisting bedrooms fortunately we had the cotton hair bags ... they provide batteries covers!!!!! Cold and limited water. By night strange roofing make you jump from bed ... I haven't yet realized whether they were “structurel” noises of the roof sheet or some huge animals that fell above us :) The island is full of other places that even less offer much better ... unwanted and continue to search: This place works only for the despair of those who do not find any more available!
