Anonymous UserFacilities: Excellent.
Hygiene: Clean and tidy.
Environment: Great atmosphere. The only minor issue was the presence of some homeless and mentally unwell individuals nearby, but they didn't bother me or attack anyone, so it didn't impact my stay.
Service: The service was fantastic, and I have to mention it. My English isn't great, and sometimes I needed a translator, but the front desk staff were incredibly patient and communicated with me with constant smiles. This made me feel at ease and not embarrassed.
If I ever go to Vancouver again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. I hope they continue to maintain their high standards and keep improving!

I enjoyed my stay at the Stoke Hotel. The room was comfortable, I was beside the laundry/maintenance room and noticed some noise during the day but not in the evenings or nights, it never bothered me. My room was adjacent to the hot tub and I did hear some loud good times but it didn't bother me and it was quiet by bedtime. Breakfast had so much selection. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, apples, grapefruit, oranges, muffins, bagels, and various breads and cookies. The hot foods are alternated, just so many options, it was fantastic and made for slow mornings sometimes. The breakfast staff were welcoming, great at stocking up and tidying up. The mornings were very enjoyable.
The bus shuttle stop was nearby and the front desk gave bus vouchers when I asked. There was also a free shuttle service downtown, to the Regent Hotel, just a matter of requesting after 5:30pm.
Staff were friendly, the premises were clean, my room and bed were comfy. Had a great stay even though it was not downtown and I didn't have a car.
Denny's, McDonald's, tim Hortons and a&w are in walking distance. Good location and comfortable stay.

Pianist with no handsThis hotel was built in 1885 with historical background according to the pictures on the wall. It would be more informative if there was a more thorough descriptions next to the pictures and become a museum like Inn.
We stayed in the Superior King room with balcony, the river view was excellent. This little town is very tranquil with relaxing vibe. We loved to stay in the balcony, unfortunately, there is no any BBQ or stove for cooking here, or we would love to stay more days. There is also no sun umbrella or shaded place in the balcony, and it could be very bright and hot even during 11C in the summer.
Our room is the closest to the car park, but we can’t access the stairs directly down to the car park. Instead, we had to detour in the hotel, walked the a few levels of stairs with passing two doors to the car park. There are more than a dozen of stairs in the hotel. Elderly and anyone with leg or back problems need to be aware of it.
Our room has been renovated recently. Everything maintains in very good condition, besides of the air conditioning. The air conditioning system was connected to another three rooms in the same isle. If any of the room turns on the heater while everyone is using the cool mode, the air conditioning will be shown in error.
Thanks for Meghan that she was willing to come back to the hotel for us in 5 mins even it was out of her work time. She has been very helpful and nice during our stay. She is the best front desk I have seen on this island.
We were happy with our stay, even we noticed that the noisy music from the pub right under the hotel level not only on in the weekend until midnight. However, we felt that compressor next to us had been noisy all day. We only felt quiet after we turned off the bathroom ventilator, air conditioning and closed the window.
There was also two washing machines and one dryer on site charging only CAD$2 for each laundry. I think this is the cheapest laundry service on the island.
The last but not least is the bath towels. We can’t stand with it snowing with crushes. I would suggest people bringing their towels. And the water pressure was too weak like a garden pot watering.

GeiorgiestravelsVery convenient location if your sim is to be right in the city center. The two subway train lines are within a couple of minutes walk ,as is the main high street. The Canada line provides a direct route to the train station (tip: buy a day ticket and it will cost less that the ticket to cross zones plus the additional airport surcharge). The Canada line is so convenient that if you did not care about being in the city center then staying somewhere else along the line further out may be cheaper.
Hostel was clean and well organized. There is a strict no eating in the room policy, though there are kitchen facilities to be used. Hire a towel. Rooms and front entrance has key card access. Room has no Aircon so can be warm, though there is a small electric fan.
The room with two beds has bunk bed, cages under the bed and a stool….that is it. There are no privacy curtains, individual dockets or lights for each bed, only the main room light so make sure you have a touch/light, though as the curtains do not block all street light the room feels as it has a nightlight on and does not ever get really dark.
I stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Sunday was quiet , though the hostel is above a bar and do Saturday had music playing for many hours while trying to get to sleep not the place for light sleepers.

Really good, excellent value for money. It's quiet, clean, and close to the city center and nearby restaurants. I've stayed here twice already, and I'll probably choose it again next time I'm in town.

Guest UserThis is an ancient hotel but with very convenient location and plenty of parking lots.
The room is clean and tidy with romantic dim lighting in the room area.
Simple breakfast comes with boiled eggs [very limited quantity and you won't get one if even at 9am], cereal, breads, muffin, yogurt, milk and coffee.
Surprised that there's sauna room and a small pool.
Helpful and polite Front Desk staffs with efficient services.

For this price in Vancouver, it's really great value for money. It's a guesthouse located in a villa, and it's exceptionally clean. I woke up several times during the night due to jet lag, and there wasn't a single bug in the kitchen or bathroom, which shows how meticulous the host is about cleanliness. The only minor downside was that the bed sagged a bit in the middle. The host was easy to reach via WeChat, which was very convenient. Airport transfers were 30 CAD per trip. If I have a layover in Vancouver again, I'll definitely stay here.

Just like its sister property (Seymour), this hostel boasts an excellent downtown location—less than a 5-minute walk from Waterfront Station and only 200 meters from the iconic Gastown Steam Clock. Potential guests should note that two resident cats roam the first floor and the kitchen area. The hostel is spotlessly clean, with staff continuously maintaining it throughout the day. While the common room and kitchen are spacious and bright, my 8-bed dorm was small and dark. The beds are comfortable and some feature privacy curtains, though they lack personal reading lamps or power outlets. Be forewarned: rooms, especially those facing the bar side, are incredibly noisy, with loud music blasting until 2 AM, particularly on weekends.

Location close to the airport and pier, convenient for the next day
There is only one elevator in the whole hotel. It is very difficult to wait for a location during the morning peak period, especially when you are carrying luggage to check out, it is difficult to take the stairs.
The overall environment is good, the elevator problem
