This was my first time staying at this hostel, and I absolutely loved it! The overall experience was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, right next to a transportation hub, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, getting around, and finding food. The interior design is simple yet cozy, showing care in every detail. The common areas are clean and elegant, perfect for relaxing and chatting with friends. My room had great natural light and was simply but tastefully furnished. The bedding was soft and clean, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete and spotless, with hot water available at all times, making for an excellent everyday living experience. The staff were thoughtful and attentive, friendly and approachable, patiently answering all my travel questions. The overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The other guests were all very friendly. This place offers incredible value for money, making it my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I highly recommend it to all fellow travelers!

Hygiene: okay Location bias No breakfast. The surrounding dining is far away. less. About ten minutes walk from the international duty-free shop, two traffic lights. The room can see the sea. There is a balcony.

TA Good Hostel for a Longer Stay in Haikou 🇨🇳 I stayed at Banana International Youth Hostel in Haikou for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hostel itself is a good option if you’re planning to stay for a longer period. Unfortunately, I only had one night there, so I didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy what the hostel has to offer. The main downside for a short stay is the location. If you’re only visiting Haikou for one or two nights and want to quickly explore the main attractions, it may not be the most convenient base. I found this hotel on the same day, after deciding to leave a hostel where the hygiene conditions were far from ideal. I arrived an hour before the regular check-in time, yet they still welcomed me into a beautiful room—perfectly furnished and, above all, exceptionally clean. The cleanliness was impeccable, and it’s just one of the many positive aspects of this hotel. They provided towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, and the shampoo was wonderfully fragrant and of excellent quality. During my stay, I experienced some health issues (I won’t go into details), but the owners helped me immensely. They also offer luggage storage and package reception services. The location is central and just a five minutes walk from the main Sanya beach. I felt at home even though I was on the other side of the world, and I don’t think there’s anything better than that.

The hotel is in Li'an Town, the room is clean and tidy, the bed is relatively large, and the price is high. There is a supermarket downstairs that is very convenient, and the dishes at the Wanghai Hotel next to it are not bad. It is about 3 kilometers away from Gangmenling Park. It is still a little far to walk. You can take the bus or call Didi. Whether you are driving or traveling freely, it is recommended to live here. Gangmenling Park has a beach to play, and you can also climb high and look far. It is worth a visit.

My first time in Haikou, and I chose Backpacker's Ten Years (Qilou Old Street branch) – it totally exceeded my expectations. It's located on the first floor of the Yedao Comprehensive Building on Longkun North Road, really close to Evergreen Park, Qilou Old Street, and Century Bridge. Taxis to anywhere aren't expensive, and there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient for solo travelers. As soon as I walked in, the common area impressed me – a mix of Nanyang vintage style with a touch of island vibe. The lobby is spacious and bright, with a pool table, book bar, and coffee corner. It was so relaxing to sit there at night, enjoy the AC, and chat. It's easy to meet cyclists on island tours and backpackers from all over. The dorm area requires a key card for entry and is separated by gender. The 8-bed dorms are spacious, and the lockers are big. The brand-name bedding and fresh air system, combined with the powerful air conditioning, made for a great sleep in Hainan's weather. The bathrooms are separate for men and women, with wet and dry areas, no strange odors, and even washing machines and dryers. The women's area has a vanity mirror and small items – the attention to detail is excellent. But the biggest plus was the people. The front desk staff were lovely; check-in and check-out were fast, and they were ready to help with directions, food recommendations, and luggage storage, just like having a local friend to rely on. The price is friendly for students and budget travelers. With clean beds, a sense of security, and a great social atmosphere, the value for money is fantastic – I'd recommend it without hesitation! I'm definitely planning to check out their other branches in different cities!

Close to Shenzhou Station, not many dining options nearby, but you can order KFC for delivery. The hostel is in a self-built house and very spacious. The common area on the first floor is huge, and there's even a hot water dispenser! However, I felt a bit scared walking back alone at night as a female, as the hostel is located in a village. Also, I was in an upper bunk with no curtain, while the lower bunks had them. I suggest installing curtains for the upper bunks too, as the light can be too bright at night. Getting a ride-hailing car to Shenzhou Peninsula, Shimei Bay, and Xinglong Town costs about 20-25 RMB.

It was hard to find; we had to drive around for a while to get there. The reception is often unstaffed, but we were warned about this. All necessary toiletries and supplies are freely available in the corridor. The room itself was extremely small. For the price, you could easily rent beautiful, spacious apartments elsewhere. We booked based on good reviews, but you really need to pay close attention to which room you're selecting. The room looked nice in the hotel's photos. However, upon entering, it was quite disappointing. The room had dirty walls, and the shower was so unclean that we didn't even want to use it. Overall, we tried not to touch anything. On the positive side, the bed linen and towels were clean. The host was pleasant and responsive. It's a 5-minute walk from the sea.

I was wandering around Riyue Bay and accidentally found a very good youth hostel, so I decided to stay there. The price was cheap and it was in Riyue Bay Village. The surrounding environment was very good. It was not noisy at night and was very quiet. There were many activities during the weekdays. You can go to the beach and play together. The boss and volunteers were very good. I made new friends here. We all sang and drank together by the fire. It was so nice.

A nice hotel overall! Very clean and near to the beach. We enjoyed morning breeze, sunset and midnight activities. Food around the area was awesome and was accessible from the hotel. We chose Standard Delux room. Bedding was clean but the room was little smelly. Once we opened the air conditioner it got better. We booked for 3 people but we got 2 towels and 2 pairs of slippers. Those who go should take their cups and room slippers. The best part of the hotel was its closeness to the beach. That was what that made our trip highly enjoyable.
