AAnonymous UserThe staff at the hostel was very kind and helped me with my luggage. I stayed 7 nights so I feel that I was able to make a fair assessment. The hostel was clean overall and well taken care of. There was no smoke odor in the room which made the stay more pleasant. My only complaint is that the hostel did not provide a foot mat for the shower in the private rooms which I feel is very dangerous as someone can slip and fall while coming out of the shower. Most hostels also provide water bottles for the private rooms but this one did not. The amenities are very basic but the attitude and service is good which is why I would return.

GGuest UserAfter searching for a long time, this restaurant was the closest to Poyang Lake. The service was excellent, the owner was very welcoming, and there was even an elevator, which was very convenient. The food was cooked by the owner himself and was delicious 😋

GGuciI rarely write reviews, but I really want to write something about this youth hostel. I hope that this place that can give us warmth and the strength to start anew can continue to exist so gently.
An Bar is located by the Le'an River. When I first saw it, it felt a bit old. A short white wall surrounds a courtyard. The houses in the courtyard are scattered in height. The tallest building has a two-story gatehouse style building with typical Anhui-style eaves. There are a few weeds growing on the top of the eaves. It's a little dilapidated, but it also adds to the ancient feel of the yard. A big ”shore” character stands directly above the eaves.
There are many rooms in the house, and the guest rooms are all on the second floor. Entering the long corridor, with green walls on both sides, it looks like a college apartment. Suddenly, it seems like traces of time are pouring in. Whether you are a student or not, you will feel inexplicably friendly.
The house near the yard, whether it is a single room or not, has a small balcony. There is a hanging chair on the balcony, hung with star-shaped lanterns that will light up at night; the banana leaves in the yard are stretched out, and on a rainy night, you can wrap yourself in the hanging chair and listen to the song ”Rain hits the banana...”
There is also a large public balcony on the second floor, and the first floor is equipped with a living room for watching TV, a small study room and a tea room with large floor-to-ceiling windows. In the afternoon of early winter, the sun can shine in the teahouse until half past four, and then it gradually disappears into the distant bridge...
The public activity area of the entire youth hostel is very large. There are not many guests in the current season. As long as you are in a relaxed mood, you can spend several sunny days in this small courtyard and the riverside outside the door, and you will not feel bored. .
There is a large stone monument standing by the river, which records the unprecedented flood in 2017. This small yard was also invaded at that time... Fortunately, it has been tidied up again and stands gently again. Here, we provide every wandering, leisurely or lost traveler with a safe resting point and a light that can light up even in the dark night.

GGuest UserI had a nice stay at the hostel, even it was a bit crowded and there was only one bathroom for females, so there was a bit of waiting time sometimes.
But there was a kitchen you could use, which is great and the hostel was really cozy arranged.
The location was also really nice, just a short walk to the metro station and also just a short metro ride to get to downtown and major attractions.

XXiaowuduihehouziThe boss and his wife were very welcoming. Overall, it was good, but there was one problem. I found that the two rooms I booked had single-layer glass... This type of glass is only used in old offices now... This resulted in poor sound insulation even though the room was not facing the road... I don't know if this is only the case for the rooms on the fourth floor, or if it's the same for all rooms...

GGuest UserAt first I thought the lady boss was pretty nice, and she even upgraded the room for free, which I am really grateful for. We paid a 20 yuan deposit for staying in the house, and then when we checked out, they said we used the air conditioner, which costs ten yuan, and then deducted it from the deposit. In the end, only ten yuan was refunded. However, the description was not very detailed. If we used the air conditioner, would it be one yuan per degree? If I only have to pay ten dollars for turning on the air conditioner, then what's the point of my careful efforts to save on air conditioning fees? It was quite hot in mid-April, and I was hot all night and couldn't bear to turn it on, so I turned it on for a while when my girlfriend came over. Then you tell me that I only have to pay ten dollars for turning it on, so what's the point of my hot night? There is no fan, so it is very airtight. It is cooler outside than inside.

GGuest UserThe hostel has a dedicated dining area downstairs and offers many fun activities. Its location is great, very close to Dashi Monastery. However, the immediate surroundings of the hostel aren't ideal; one street nearby is quite dirty with a lot of trash.
