Staying at Qingdao Guanhai Youth Hostel was a pleasant surprise! The location is excellent. The vast blue sea is right outside the door. The sound of the waves accompanies me to sleep, and I can feel the sea breeze when I wake up in the morning. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and it is close to the subway station, which makes it easy for me to explore the old town of Qingdao or go to the beach to enjoy the sunbathing. The environment here is clean and tidy, the atmosphere is warm, and every employee is warm and friendly, making people feel at home. They will take us to experience authentic seafood during the day and go to the beach to catch seafood together at night. Here, I not only found the convenience of travel, but also gained the warmth of home. Qingdao Guanhai Youth Hostel is one of the best memories of my trip.

I would stay again despite some flaws. The social atmosphere is fantastic, one of the best I've come across in two years of traveling the world. It's an authentic, inclusive community vibe in the common room. Every evening there is a gathering with boardgames, performances, group talks, etc. It's really great. The location of the hostel is also really good. Everything is within walking distance. Train station, bus station, cheap good restaurants and the park. My only peeve are the sanitary facilities. There's no toilet paper and no bum gun provided ... So I need to bring own. Also, the shower drain is not placed correctly so the shower is always flooded. I feel like these things could be easily fixed. And maybe tidy up the general areas more frequently. There's a lot of junk lying around. But that's also what makes it more homely... Anyway, it's a great place, owner is very nice. I'd definitely stay again.
