AAolanduo19This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I only knew that 'Backpacker's Ten Years' was the most famous, so I booked it without much thought. The environment was quite good, and the location was convenient, close to both bus and subway stations, and also near scenic spots. My roommates were all very considerate; during my three-night stay, no one spoke loudly in the room. There were some normal sounds of movement, likely due to different travel schedules. The only minor drawback was that the power outlet by my bed was a bit loose, making it easy for the charger to lose connection and occasionally emitting a faint crackling sound.
The photo I've included was taken with my camera; I didn't capture the room's interior, but it was also perfectly fine.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd consider choosing 'Backpacker's Ten Years' hostels again for future travels.

GGuest UserFacilities: I was worried about not having enough toilets in a hostel, but this one has communal ones, and you can always ask the front desk if you can't find one, which is very convenient.
Regarding the elevator issue I was worried about previously: walk further in, and two elevators go up to the fifth floor. If you come back from a concert late at night, staff can help you scan for entry, or you can add the front desk on WeChat beforehand and find the latest elevator code on their Moments. I noticed from reviews before my stay that the elevator was a common complaint.
Cleanliness: Very clean.
Environment: The concert venue is within walking distance. When both the arena and stadium are open simultaneously, the subway gets incredibly crowded. Being able to walk there in about ten minutes is very convenient. Plus, there's a convenience store and restaurants downstairs, so it's great to have hot food and water after a concert when you're starving.
I found something no one else mentioned: I'm 170cm tall, which is considered tall for a woman, and the bed was just barely long enough, with my feet touching the wall. I woke up with my knees hurting because my feet were constantly pressed against the wall. Women taller than me should seriously consider this... I don't recall this being an issue in other hostels; there was always a bit of space left.

HHhLalyThis was the first hostel I stayed at in Hangzhou, and it's located near Wensan Road subway station, making transportation very convenient. It's right by Huanglong Times Square, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. It's also very close to West Lake, and there are lots of shared bikes around. The hostel walls even have tips for exploring West Lake, along with cherished memories left by past guests. As for the accommodations, they offer blackout curtains, complimentary disposable toothbrushes and towels. The bathroom and shower are separated into wet and dry areas, but both are in the same public space for men and women. In the lobby, there's a free water dispenser with 24-hour hot water, and you'll even find cats and dogs hanging out there.

DDadadaliziThe location is pretty good, close to West Lake and the subway station, making it easy to find. There's a 'Xiaohongche' (shared bike station) right downstairs at the entrance. Floors 8-10 all belong to the same establishment, with the front desk on the 9th floor. Floors 8 and 9 are for accommodation, and the 10th floor is for recreational activities. It would be better if the male and female dorms were on separate floors, as currently, there are both male and female dorms on the same floor.

PPouya VaThe location was quite convenient. It was about a 15-minute walk from the nearest metro station, which we used to get to and from the high-speed railway station. The hostel was also within a 20-minute walk of the main shopping areas.
The room was clean overall, although there was some dirt visible in the corners of the walls that could have been cleaned better. The reception staff were helpful, supportive, and easy to communicate with. They were also kind enough to let us use the laundry service without any additional charge, which was a nice bonus.
The air conditioning in the room worked well and kept the room comfortable. One of the highlights was the hostel’s terrace, where you can relax and enjoy the cityscape.
Overall, a convenient and comfortable place to stay, especially if you value a good location and helpful staff.

GGuest UserMy first time trying a hostel was a wonderful surprise! The environment was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere created by the owner was fantastic. Upon arrival, the owner introduced the sights, helped plan our itinerary, and even recommended restaurants – the food was delicious! 😋 In the evening, they organized a movie screening. The big screen was amazing, and the owner's two little sisters were so cute! After the movie, we sat together to share our thoughts – a novel and fun experience. I also want to thank the owner for helping us with our interview assignment. Reflecting on the movie experience, while algorithms may influence hostel operations to some extent, I believe that such genuine and warm hospitality will surely be rewarded in the future. Wishing the owner continued success in their business! 🥳

HHelenLee0425I was really satisfied with the room; it offered great value for money. This guesthouse is quite unique, located within an ancient building. Best of all, there was no formaldehyde smell from renovations, which I'm very sensitive to. While it might be a bit old and small, the overall experience was excellent. They even have their own restaurant, which hosts events every night at 9 PM, like movie screenings, dancing, and releasing river lanterns. The value here is truly unbeatable. Plus, the location is superb – just a 3-minute walk to Lu Xun's Former Residence, right within the scenic area. Highly recommend it, it's really good!

SSdenkaThe service was excellent!!! The front desk lady was very considerate and attentive assisting me even before arriving. Later, she promptly helped me on how to get transportation for different sightseeings in Hangzhou, facilitating my stay. The night attendant (a young boy) was also helpful and approachable.
The hostel ´s location is just 2-minute walk from a 7-Eleven for essentials and a 5-minute walk from the station. The common area is inviting, with many places to sit and relax, and a water dispenser. Also, the shared dormitory bathroom is very clean. I've enjoyed very much my stay at the hostel :)
