Excellent location- few steps to 7-11, mini mart and ATM; plenty of cafes and local food shops along the same street, 5 min to night market.
Great breakfast- 5 types of fruits and decent portions of eggs breakfast to choose from. Coffee, tea, juice available during breakfast time.
Reception- helpful, English speaking staffs
Cleanliness- considered very good, washroom and shower room are clean and not wet.
Vibe- mostly teenagers to westerners aged 20’s, who seem get along and enjoy spending time at lobby area during evening till late
Downsides
1)AC off from 10am to 6pm; renovation of swimming pool started from 8am and it’s hard to chill or relax at lobby area during my 2 days stay.
2)Sleep- my room is the nearest to lobby area, the guests were loud talking, laughing the whole night till 2am + on my first night( I couldn’t fall asleep at all) the 2nd night karaoke and music bombarded from 9pm to 11pm, thereafter guests continued talking and laughing loud till late.
Perhaps earplugs and eye mask could help with coping the downsides, given the overall consideration, it’s not bad for a quick night stay.
Room was okay, however I don’t think the bed was changed before we arrived. Lots of residual hairs in the bed when we checked in! Location is good, 10 minute walk to the main area and breakfast was nice as well with multiple options.
Service was okay but reception were mainly on their phones when guests were walking past and marked down on amenities. No shower gel provided and smallest bottles of water I have seen in Laos provided. If you’re paying for a private room would expect a little more tbh.

It was very good. Because I had an early flight, they took me to Vientiane Airport at 4:30 in the morning (100 dollars).
Also, I ate breakfast in the lobby, but it was easy to make friends because I ate with other backpackers.
I climbed the mountain to the view point and got my shoes muddy, but I was able to wash them off at the tap outside the hotel (I recommend bringing your own brushes).
Even on rainy days, many people enjoy playing billiards in the hostel.
You can also refill your water from the water server.
And the dog that lives in the hostel is very cute. If I come to Vang Vieng again, I will stay at this hostel.

The hotel proprietress is very friendly, the hotel is clean and tidy, there is a swimming pool in the hotel lobby to go down to bubble water, the seat is also very convenient, you can go to the night market within 5 minutes of walking out of the hotel, the hotel or the street are sold on the itinerary can be free to choose
Nice little guesthouse by the river. It is a short walk to move restaurants and the main area of vang vieng. It is clean, quiet and has a pool which is very basic. Better to swim in the river by the tubing bar.

I booked a one person private room and very pleased with the bed. The shower on the other had is very bad. Toilet is right next to the shower and if you want to sit on the toilet you need to adjust yourself so you can fit. It’s a a small corner. There were also some ants in the room.

A great hostel for backpackers. The facilities are old and basic, but worth the price. There's a beautiful swimming pool. Free breakfast is served poolside in the morning, along with free self-service tea bags and coffee. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town. Eating and shopping are very convenient. There's an abandoned runway next door. There's a Mixue Ice Cream shop right outside. Mostly foreigners; didn't see any Chinese. Backpackers' Home, Santana—actually, they're all the same place. Several locations are marked on the map. I don't know why they have so many names. You have to take off your shoes before entering. It's relatively quiet for sleeping. My roommates are all quite quiet.

GGuest UserGuesthouse with an incredibly beautiful view! The location is excellent. I bought a hot air balloon flight and a bus ticket at the reception. Thank you for everything. I recommend it.

GGuest UserI stayed here for two days. The first day was very good. You can use the pool and enjoy talking to other traveler’s. The second day there was a guy snoring very bed, so I couldn’t sleep. Other then that it’s a very good hostel.
