Location was right in the centre of Medina and easy to find. Got there by bus from airport and then almost 15 minutes walk. Check in was easy and smooth. A person was available on reception. It is a hostel with 6 people on sharing a room. Bed was clean and tidy. I got upper bed. Also got a locker to put my stuff in it. Bathrooms and toilets are common so you may have difficulty if you are leaving early. Breakfast was on time and delicious. There was a variety in it. Only problem I got was when I had to checkout in the morning. There was nobody on reception and had to wait for a while. Also the lady was not much cooperative.
It is value for money for a solo traveller on budget. Cannot suggest to couples or families because there is no privacy as it is on sharing.
Stayed at this hotel for the second time in a short period of time. Because another hotel temporarily cancelled my reservation, there was no problem booking this in such a temporary situation. The clerk was very good and the bathroom in the room was cleaned every day. Highly recommended not to step on thunder
Cleanliness
There are two blankets on the bed, and you sleep sandwiched between them, but the blankets are not washed. They are just folded and set up every morning. Of course, there are no sheets, so I think this is a place for people who don't mind. The living room, shower room, and toilet were old but clean.
Location
It is within walking distance from the old town. It is difficult to get there, but it is easy once you get used to it. The streets of Marrakech are like a maze, and I think it is difficult to get to any of the accommodations, so there is no particular downside to the score.
Service
It is a riad, and the relaxing space on the rooftop was nice. It was a clear day in February, about 22 degrees, with a gentle breeze, and it was very comfortable. The living room was also nice.
Facilities and amenities
Toilet paper available
Shampoo and body soap not available
Sheets not available
Towel rental 15dh
Breakfast was 4€ or 40dh, and dinner was 9€ or 90dh. (February 2025)
Please note that the accommodation tax is 2.5€ per night and can only be paid in cash, so bring euros.
I didn't mind it, but
the top bunk of the bunk bed had an unfixed ladder, a low fence only 7cm high, and was about 2m high, so I don't think it would be suitable for people with a fear of heights.
I had a fun stay because I could play with the cats.
