TTECKBW8Our stay at Haka House Franz Josef was a great experience overall.
The property has a lively, social atmosphere that makes it easy to meet fellow travellers, yet it still offers quiet corners for those who prefer downtime.
The common areas are spacious and well-kept, with a cozy lounge and kitchen facilities that make self-catering simple.
The location is excellent—right in the heart of Franz Josef, within walking distance to cafes, shops, and the glacier activities.
The bunk room we stayed in was basic but clean, with comfortable beds but limited storage and stuffy!
It’s easy to see why it’s such a popular spot in town.

Salt/pepper/rice cooker/bread toaster/milk/ basic utensils for cooking are provided.

Aaust_yliThe apartment we stayed in was quite new and felt pleasant. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. The Kitchen was new and well equiped. It’s in a small township near Fox Glacier. There was a view point, which was about a few minutes driver from the motel, where the view of the snow peaks and glacier was spectacular. It is also not far from Franz Joseph glacier.

PPCNGWhen booking the motel, it was stated that it was for 4 adults. When I checked in, I found that there was only one room and a bunk bed in the living room, which was not very comfortable. In addition, the toilet is in the room, and someone will be woken up when going to the toilet at night. It is not suitable for more than 2 people to stay.

GGuest UserWe came here to stay by train. Although the motel is not very new, it has everything. There are supermarkets and daily necessities stores at the foot of the mountain. It takes about ten minutes to walk there. When the sidewalk is about to disappear, there is a trail connecting it in a hidden place, and you can walk to the parking lot of the grocery store.
The hotel can pick you up at the train station, which is actually very suitable for people like us who have big luggage from overseas and don’t have a car. recommend

HHLNgGreat motel stay with lots of space for our family of 4. It was an orange alert bad weather warning day and our helicopter trip was cancelled, so we stayed in the room and played games as a family, and did laundry!
