Rus Irkutsk Hostel is located in the very center of Irkutsk city. The airport is 6 km away, and the train station is 1.8 km away. The historical 130th quarter of Irkutsk is 500 meters away, the Irkutsk Museum of Local Lore is 500 meters away, and all the main attractions of the city are within walking distance.
There is a Philharmonic public transport stop at the entrance to the hostel, from where it is convenient to get anywhere in the city.
It offers rooms for every taste: from dormitories to a private room with its own bathroom.
There are 7 rooms in total, 3 showers and three toilets. Each room has air conditioning, TV (except 2.3 rooms). All rooms are located on the ground floor of a commercial building.
The hostel has a relaxation area, as well as a kitchen, which has everything you need for cooking and eating. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hostel. We provide a transfer service upon request. Inform the administrator about this in advance. The hostel has round-the-clock video surveillance and Rosgvardiya security for your safety.
We accept groups of up to 35 people. Catering is possible on request.

"Traveling solo from China to Siberia, my short two-to-three-day stay with the hosts in Irkutsk was the warmest, most unexpected highlight of my entire trip. The host couple and their friends were incredibly genuine and friendly. Despite the language barrier, we communicated patiently using translation software, and there was absolutely no sense of distance. The accommodation was clean and warm, fully equipped with kitchenware and toiletries, offering an immersive experience of local daily life.
The hosts proactively shared sightseeing routes for Lake Baikal, explained Siberian customs, and even gave me local specialty gifts. Their family warmly invited me to eat and chat with them, allowing me to genuinely experience the gentle warmth of ordinary Russian people. As my departure approached, I was very reluctant to leave. This homestay experience bypassed the typical tourist routines and allowed me to forge pure and sincere cross-cultural friendships. I highly recommend this local guesthouse to solo travelers; the value for money and overall experience far exceed that of a hotel."

Very pleasantly surprised, because the hotel did not upload the picture due to the late order. There are not many choices to decide. I said please give me a quiet sun room. The staff's arrangement is too satisfactory. You can see Lake Baikal from the window. I lay down directly for a day without going out.

Alena MutThe woman who answers the phone is incredibly strange (to put it mildly). She answers calls while simultaneously distracted by her own affairs, speaking rudely. It's scary to imagine foreign tourists checking in here; she barely even speaks Russian. The location is good, but the downside is that it's incredibly loud. Every day, by 5 a.m., they start making noise and clearly don't care that other guests are still sleeping. On Saturday, two drunk women rented the room next door, and everyone's conversations were audible. If you want a good night's sleep, this is definitely not the place. Looking for adequate accommodations, too.

All aspects are very general. But the price is here. Basically no one went in June. In fact, the public bathroom shower was okay, and I basically didn't wait. Don't live during the peak tourist season.

There was a room with its shower and toilet. On 1-2 night is a good option. The clean room small bed is good. The window in the ceiling is unfortunately not closed but at night there is not much light from it. There is a refrigerator but it is noisy if not needed it can and can not be turned on. There is always a staff member on the recipe. The only minus very thin walls I heard snorting who behind the wall as if he was lying next to it. And the noise from the street is also heard. The shower in a bad condition water hot-hot stress is good. Towel tooth brush gel shampoo all eat.
