This place was good for an evening or for workers as the place was full of temporary workers and a few long term stayers completing gigs in the area. There were several small grills in use in the parking lot and motorcycles on parking pads for weekend rides. The downside is that the door to the room had a large gap underneath so I could hear anyone walking by, and the room shower head had to be held by hand. Additionally there was a sign saying sheet and towel services would not occur on Saturday night or Monday night. There was a fridge in the room, and on-site laundry services and an ice machine nearby.

Very well taken care of and very clean rooms, the management is very nice and well taken care of property housekeeping is great and they're very nice and happy people! The place is very clean dog welcome and have there own area to play in.. wash and dry on site and place to eat near here

We were in Bloomington to visit a friend and found the Grant Street Inn to be both lovely and accommodating for our stay of three nights. The front desk staff were consistently gracious and helpful--from allowing us to check-in a wee bit early to avoid having to race to the IU campus for a 4pm faculty recital to providing extra towels after we were caught in afternoon downpour. We enjoyed our room with access to rocking chairs on the front porch. We felt all was very safe due to the Inn's covid protocols. All was very clean and welcoming. A final bonus, of course, was excellent location--getting to IU campus is easy walk and downtown breweries, etc. just minutes away by foot as well. We loved leaving the car in the Inn's parking lot and exploring on foot.

To all at Tripadvisor, I Peter Gemmiti recently wrote a review for Red Roof inn at Valparaiso ct , Indianapolis, In. . I wanted all to know that I n the disabled USAF VET traveling with his two cats were welcomed with open arms by the owner HARRY! And I still want all to know that we still appreciate what he has done for us to accommodate us in the better building that is being renovated. And yes , we still thank ROBIN for speaking with him about our situation. However, we've experienced when Harry isn't present that things don't get done! And that paying guests like ourselves are put on a back burner if you will.. we've had to go out to purchase our own TOWELS!, SHAMPOO, SOAP, TOILET PAPER!!,TRASHBAGS! And to top it off cleaning supplies to keep up our room due to us being OCD! and we do understand that cleaning staff see you every other day however, that's not been the case with us! I ve had to speak with whom is ever behind front desk to have them put us on list and that's not how the hospitality industry works especially when you tip for a exchange of towels which you will see in pictures that have holes in them, DIRTY from what looks like a auto body shop, or car wash! No joke! Then we noticed we had a hard time breathing in the room, we thought it was due to the hanging bathroom ceiling fan!, Placed order to be fixed with ROBIN whom today told me she NEVER put it in! Nice! We also addressed the toilet was leaking from the tank! And that we were responsible enough to put towel underneath. Then Robin says o yeah I heard your sink is leaking even though I brought down a picture! WOW! , Ken and I don't mind being self sufficient but this is taking advantage of us and our good nature. I asked for another room and Robin replyed o you don't want 202 that room is full of problems! Yet , NEVER took the time to look into a upcoming similar room for us ! WOW! And I called her a professional.. I 'm so sorry I DID! That's her job! Ken's lung's are damaged from Gulf war and my right lung is damaged as well. I found that I had to clean myself the air conditioner/ heater by taking out the filters and running them under the water till clean! After I, myself was done cleaning this room 206 from floor -up I still need a similar room hopefully as CLEAN as I have this one now due to the work that needs to be done and all the inconveniences that Robin and the staff have put us through when HARRY isn't around to keep his eyes on them. There's also a MAJOR ISSUE THAT THE FIRE DEPT WOULD HAVE ISSUE WITH AND THAT'S BLOCKING A EXIT FOR THE SECOND FLOOR!! Right by my room!! :( Hope I can attach these pictures if not than on Google.. sorry again to all at Tripadvisor and those whom count on it .. Sincerely , Peter Gemmiti

We arrived at 6:40 pm on December 27 and was told our reservation had been canceled. When asked who or why it was canceled the desk attendant replied because we didn’t arrive by 6:00 pm and he didn’t have anything else available for us. After driving 10 hours (we are elderly) were exhausted and asked if any other hotel in the area would accept our dog. He gave us a note with name and number but I replied that I would just go online. Then he went back on his computer and said he found something for us. The room was not the nicest and we both laughed hysterically at the wooden board across the bath tub. There was only one chair in the room and the bathroom sink didn’t have a counter. It wasn’t until later we realized water was seeping through the cracks in the bathroom floor. Too late to complain or find another room by then. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room but there cigarette burns in the bedspread. We complained the next morning when checking out and was told the night attendant was always doing this. Complained on the online survey and they responded it would be checked into. Also forgot to say the ceiling in the shower area was falling down. We didn’t shower just got out of there ASAP

I would definitely recommend that people stay here. Great service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and a really good price. Also, convenient location, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!!!

This is a sweet retro motel with the nicest owners and staff you will ever find. At check in there are wonderful mints and water bottles. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable and the wi-fi works great. They are working very hard on restorations. Sleepers bar which is connected is owned by Sleeper. Both Sleeper and the owner of the motel are former IU graduates. We just had some snacks and very good pizza and drinks at the bar, great service and conversation. The breakfast is wonderful, hot and cold items...who doesn't want biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs? There is a lovely courtyard which will be fun when the weather is a bit warmer! This is a great affordable motel in a good location and they are working very hard to make it a success. Stay there and support them, you will not be sorry!

Checked in earlier enough to enjoy a swim before bedtime. However, the pool was definitely on the colder side not very enjoyable, no hot tub to warm up in and the sauna was out of order. Beds were comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet since the highway noise is very loud. I’m giving 3 stars because of the sauna and pool and because of the surprise when I got out of the shower in the morning. I grab a towel to dry off with and it is literally thread bare in several large spots. There’s a sign in the room asking you to tell the front desk if anything is wrong. So, I take the rag of a towel downstairs with me when I go to breakfast and show it to the front desk clerk. She says, “oh sorry. Let me get you a new one” I’m like, “I don’t need one now.” And that was the extent of her giving a crap. No, here’s some free rewards points or let me take 10% off or anything, just “oh, sorry” As we sat through our breakfast, I’m pretty sure we heard “I’m sorry” 3 more times about other things. Sorry doesn’t make things better. I get that places are struggling right now. But there’s No reason to use rags for towels and sorry isn’t customer service. Lafayette has a lot of choices for hotels and rewards or not this won’t be one of mine ever again. Save yourself the disappointment and stay elsewhere.

I wouldn't blame anyone for not trusting my review. I don't trust most of the really bad ones involving budget motels. People lie like crazy. Or they are expecting the Ritz at a budget price. Then I stay there and don't even recognize the place from the reviews. I will be as factual as possible about this place. I'll start with checkin. The clerk had all the personality of a log. Her accent was so thick that I needed her to repeat everything. That's fine if most of your customers are from the same area. In this case, I doubt most of her customers are from Asia. She also got irritated any time I asked a question. Some were so basic that she should have answered them without asking like where is my room and where should I park. The room had a microwave, television, and refrigerator. I wish it had occurred to someone that Indianapolis gets cold in winter and a some heat turned on would have been nice. The biggest negative is the bathroom. The shower head could not be turned off whether or not I wanted a shower. I wonder what was the last time anyone ran a snake through the tub drain and bathroom sink, so that they could actually drain? The tiles were brown and cracked around the edges. The sides of the tub looked like had been cleaned with coffee grounds. The carpeting was pretty stained and frayed. My advice to the owners is that if you cannot afford to remodel and replace, sell it. The best thins I can say are the location near I-65 and it's right near a number of eating g places. I'm not saying don't stay here. But don't overpay. If you can afford more, go elsewhere. It's good enough on a tight budget. By the way, as I write this, lights are tur ING themselves off. Timers?

Front desk lady was very helpful and friendly and housekeeper and did good job on rooms and helpful if I needed anything her name was Nicole the bathroom had a leak in the tub and the maintenance guy came right up and fixed it his name was randy

My rental truck broke down and I needed a place to stay, I came across this location and had been a very stress free and relaxing visit. Kalie and Jodie have been very exceptional and very professional staff, always have a smile!!! Very helpful when my truck keeps getting delayed in the shop and making sure I still have a room to stay in. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Rooms are clean, smell fresh, non smoked in. Another bonus is Walmart is within walking distance, and several places to eat within walking distance. The standard kind room didn’t have a fridge or microwave, but the upgraded king has them. This is also a pretty quiet location. Thank you Jodie and Kalie for making my stay a pleasant one!!!

We were really impressed with this hotel. We were in Indianapolis for the eclipse (along with thousands of others, I assume!), and had booked this hotel 10 months in advance. Upon arriving, the desk clerk asked if we needed eclipse glasses, which we found very accommodating. The rooms were good, everything was in order and clean. When we were ready to observe the eclipse, we were just going to the parking lot of the hotel (along with other groups staying at the hotel). We had neglected to bring any chairs, but the front desk clerk assisted us with moving some of the chairs from the pool area (which was still closed this time of year) to the parking lot for us to use. The breakfast was fantastic. So many selections, and the attendant for the dining area was constantly refreshing the selections and cleaning the area. The hotel was fully booked, yet we did not have any problems with noise or with having a good breakfast even during the end of the service time for the meal. We will definitely plan on using this Comfort Inn location for other trips to this area.

When I booked it, I didn’t care about it as an inn. When I arrived, I found it was like a motel, but the interior was quite clean. I asked for the middle one. It was still a bit noisy at night, and the accent at the front desk was broken

At check in, the man said that there was a $250 cash deposit. I said I don’t have that kind of cash and he said “what how much do you have” I said, “forget it I’m out of here”. He said it could go on a card, it just takes 5-7 days for it to get removed. I said I was more comfortable with that. There were a lot of signs about the $250 hold so it seemed legit. I asked for a non-smoking room and he said they were all non-smoking rooms. We went to the room and it REAKED of smoke. I went back and said we needed a new room. He walked us to the next room which was fine. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The next morning I went to make sure that they had the right room down that we stayed in so I didn’t get charged for the smoky room and they had yet a different room down. I told the woman about the cash deposit and wanted me make sure my hold got removed. She told me we weren’t even supposed to charge that, that is was just for smokers. How do you have a non-smoking motel and charge extra for smokers…

Everything was very clean and quiet. Hotel staff was very nice and helped with any and all questions we had. I was overall very pleased with my stay at this location.

Motel, complete facilities, microwave, refrigerator. The room was clean. It was quiet at night. Breakfast has coffee, tea, orange juice and milk, cereal and bagged bread. The location is right next to Wal-Mart, free parking, this price is OK.
