Facilities: Before going there, I heard that the facilities might be old, but in fact they are fine and worth experiencing. Environment: The location is excellent and the hotel atmosphere is very suitable for travel check-in Service: Very considerate, there will be staff who will give business cards when checking in to contact you for help and service needs.

Hotel was a Dream for our daughters and us. We stayed only one night during trip through Quebec, but we appreciate access to the beach and pool. Our room was really big and bed confortable. Not far from the City Center

we stayed there and went to Spa. The hotel and spa were great. Would be nice if there were closer options for dining outside the hotel, but the on site restaurants are very good.

This hotel was perfectly located in the pedestrian village. Everything within a few minutes walk. Karoline at the front desk was super helpful with answering lots and lots of our questions and making recommendations. And what really stood out was that she would remember to ask about what we enjoyed….just super helpful and lovely to feel that we weren’t just another number in the hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

This hotel is really nice: comfortable, modern, clean, well situated for a car-based visit to the Eastern Townships and the city of Sherbrooke. It offers a pool and a spa (hot tub/whirlpool) and a very good, albeit overpriced restaurant on site. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms (makeup wearers will appreciate the ability to control lighting at the vanity) and good quality toilettes, towels and bedding. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices and was well organized in a pleasant communal dinning area. The parking is on the parking lot right next to the hotel. This is convenient, but not secured - so if its important to you, keep this point in mind. The only word of caution is the amount of chlorine and other chemicals in the hot tub: it has destroyed my bathing suit. Completely ate away the colour to a point that I had to throw it out. Obviously, it was unpleasant on its own, but the bigger question is: if the chemicals in the whirlpool water are strong enough to destroy a garment, what do they do to your skin?! We've raised these concerns with the front desk, and while the employees listened patiently, it was obvious they couldn't care less. The only answer was: we have the pool and hot tub examined by a contractor regularly. This says nothing of the quality of water/amount of chemicals used. With respect to the ruined garment, Francis Carrier, Director of guest experience asked to send him an e-mail with a confirmation of purchase, which I have done, and never heard from him again. No compensation was offered, no apologies. This whole experience has left a bit of a bad taste for us after an otherwise good stay at the property and the lack of interest by the hotel staff raised a red flag. Not sure if I would stay here again and certainly cannot recommend the pool/whirlpool, as the safety seems to be taken lightly.

We recently stayed for a overnight visit and had booked 3 rooms for our family. On a positive side, nice location, rooms are clean and comfortable and while a bit dated, the stay part was good. We checked in around 10 pm and were leaving first thing the next morning. We were presented with an additional $70 per room fee that the front desk claimed was an online booking charge. We did finally find out it was a resort fee and bumped the price of the room over $300/room. Very expensive for the area. We tried to explain that the amenities were closed and not any use to us but we were out of luck. We then went to the bar for a drink, by the way there is no table service and the bartender ignored us and didn't offer an explanation. Only went we went up to the bar and asked for service did she say there was not table service. We were only a few meters away and bar only had 2 other people in it. When we went to pay, the point of sale system was down and was an issue. We finally managed to pay and called it an night. Next morning went for breakfast that was advertised at $19. On Sunday's, that becomes brunch and the cost was $28. Only 2 of the party of 5 decided to eat. When the bill arrived, it was for more than $56 plus tax and they could not explain why. We had to do the match for them and even then was a detailed discussion. On checkout, we found bar tab from the previous evening was on the bill and on another room, there was a charge for 2 breakfasts that were not eaten. I am not sure if it is the incompetence of the staff or an attempt to overcharge but review your bill closely as no errors are in your favor. Also extremely difficult to have removed and there was a heated discussion. What was to be a nice family get away was not and will not stay here again. At the price charged, one can find something much better.

Excellent hotel a little bit out of town in busy commercial district, on busy road. Room was good size and well appointed - hotel feels very new. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of free onsite parking. Hotel has a nice restaurant and bar attached but plenty others short walk away. Breakfast was included and was of a decent standard with good choice. Is self service with throw away plates etc. but was one of the best so far one the trip even compared to some high end big city hotels. If in the area again would definitely consider this hotel.

Booked the biggest room type with private spa for my partner’s birthday. I was concerned with all the negative reviews (saw them after booking) and while it started out iffy, the staff really went over and above and redeemed the whole experience. Got to our room, which we booked specifically lakeside to enjoy the sunrise in the private hot tub. I called 72 hours in advance to make sure we would be assigned a room with a functional spa, and then 24 hours in advance to specifically ask that the spa be cleaned prior to our arrival (should be a given but it isn’t the case). Upon arrival, we found the spa to have murkey water, hair clip inside, band-aids, etc. We asked to have it cleaned and they say only the day crew does that (our check in is at 4 and the staff already left by 5). They called our room with an offer to reimburse 130$ with late check out. We refused. They said they’d work on a solution and found us another room with same amenities, but smaller. They even still offered with that the late check out and 130. We took it. So, while you have to argue and not take the first offer, it ended up working out - they were willing to go into problem-solving mode. The room was extremely clean, the fireplace is such a great addition for the winter. Really a cool, calm and modern vibe. I have to say that the reception desk staff was lovely, welcoming, and warm. The restaurant staff were also professional - and a bit mortified that there were consistently screaming children (this resort does not seem to be geared towards children at all but there were many children around, maybe because of winter break?). This is out of their control. The food was great, unlike other reviews, it was tasty, warm. By the way - Yes, it is expensive there. This is not a budget-friendly escapade. IMPORTANT POINT: I will say that the people picking up the phone when you call to either make a reservation or ask questions are really rude. I’ve seen other reviews say this, and I concur. It seems to be people working from home (I can hear cartoons and their children in the background) and they seem completely exasperated and over it. However, while I was at the reception desk, I saw some of them taking reservations too and boy were they all wonderful at the desks (both at Emotion and Evolution). All this to say, if your first encounter over the phone is less than stellar, don’t be discouraged. Esterel should really do something about that though, because it’s details like this that makes or breaks a first impression.

Great hotel, perfect for winter ski-ing. It is near Granby Zoo where we take our kids, and offers a more refined, relaxed vibe after you return from the park. The indoor and outdoor pools are a hit with our kids- we keep coming back! This time around there was construction and noise started earlier than 7am, and there were debris falling over our window and all over the window sill- but having the past great experience helped us overlook the minor inconvenience.
