However, the mattress was very thick and incredibly comfortable to sleep on. We ran out of tissues in the room, but the housekeeper promptly brought some when we requested them. There were no disposable bath liners for the bathtub, and they weren't available for purchase, which is an area where service could definitely be improved. Given its large scale, the hotel could consider offering childcare services similar to Club Med. A kids' play area with soft play structures, slides, and a ball pit would be a great addition, allowing parents to relax. There was no buffet available. With such a large property, inter-departmental communication seems to be an issue. The information provided by the housekeeper for the 1928 Beer Bar's dining options was incorrect. After checking out, the housekeeper asked for a good review. I provided some suggestions, but the housekeeper, 'Dabaitu' (Big White Rabbit), never replied. It feels like the service in northern China is often a 'do-it-because-my-boss-told-me-to' mentality, and any extra requests from guests are seen as an inconvenience. I really liked the breakfast buffet where many of the attendants were older, creating a very harmonious atmosphere, like being cared for by parents while away from home. The breakfast selection was extensive. There are two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Cat petting costs 19.9 for children and 29.9 for adults, with single entry and unlimited time. Feeding animals costs 10 yuan, which includes one portion of feed. **However, if you write a good review for 1 yuan, you get fewer carrots than the 10 yuan portion. The animals seemed a bit pathetic, with the little horse constantly kicking the wire fence.** There are two swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. The buffet at the 1928 Beer Bar is more Western-style. Many people might not be used to it. We tried it, and the quality of the desserts was excellent! There's a beach right behind the hotel, with some rocks, but not too many. You can go tide pooling in the early morning and at night. It's too hot during the day due to strong sun, and there isn't much seafood to find then either. The package included access to the Haiquanwan Hot Springs, but I must mention: it was dirty. There were no tissues or disposable combs in the hair-drying area (only a few scattered combs for everyone to share). With this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel's location is indeed a bit remote, making it suitable for self-driving. There's a Shandong University cafeteria and museum nearby, which I'd give five stars!

The room was very spacious, and we booked one with a large bathtub, which our kids absolutely loved. The hotel has direct elevator access to the hot springs, which was incredibly convenient. The hot springs area is huge, with a kids' playground and even a children's water park. Highly recommended! It would have been even better if the room had baby bathrobes and slippers ready.

The hotel room was very nice and the bed was comfortable and not too firm. The staff left bananas and nectarines in a glass bowl in the room. That was a thoughtful gesture and helpful after returning from a long soak in the hotsprings. The indoor and outdoor springs were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. The location was a bit far from the train station and the center of Jimo. That is my only negative comment.

A perfect trip! From the moment I arrived, I was stunned by the view. Sitting in the bathtub or lying in bed, gazing at the sea and listening to music, my soul felt completely purified. The croissants for breakfast were delicious, and from the window, I could see so many interesting things happening outside – like couples taking wedding photos, which made me feel surrounded by happiness. Before sunset, you can catch the most beautiful evening glow from here. It's so pleasant and comfortable. My nearly three-day trip left me lingering, I really loved this guesthouse!

Excellent complimentary breakfast in Chinese style, excellent swimming pool for families！very close to a local market (around 5 min walking ) - great to learn about local culture. something that needs to be improved: 1) some guests are smoking inside the hotel including lobby and restaurant - my family is sensitive to the smell but no other choices. A common problem very challenging for all hotels in China. 2) a side table between two beds has very sharp corners - when kids play around it, may get hurt 3) hotel may not offer match in the hotel - it is kind of encouraging people smoking inside the room 4) there is sign reading “ no smoking in the bed”. It indicates that it is ok to smoke as long as not in the bed. 5) breakfast is great during weekdays and “restricted supply” during weekends when a big tour group is there. 6） first time I know, a 4-star hotel does not have air conditioning (AC) in May, even it is 30 Celsius outside. This hotel will open AC probably in June.

I only learned about this by messaging the hotel via WeChat, which may not be accessible to all foreign guests. While the location was excellent, room maintenance could be improved for the price. The pool tub was not well maintained. As the resort is set in nature, it’s also worth noting that insects may be present in the room or bed. Overall, a scenic stay, but more proactive communication and better upkeep would enhance the experience, particularly for foreign visitors.

I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 PM, but no rooms were available. The front desk said they would call me once a room was ready. I came back at 3:30 PM, and they said a room was available, but I never received a call. They did upgrade my room type, but they didn't have buckwheat pillows. Honestly, I didn't see many people around. It was past noon, usually peak check-out time, but the lobby was almost empty. I didn't see many guests during breakfast either. I'm not sure why I had to wait until after 3 PM for a room. The surrounding environment is nice, and the sea view is okay. Room cleanliness was acceptable. Breakfast wasn't super rich but decent. The twin beds were a bit small; you have to be careful not to fall off when turning over.
