Super stay at this traditional onsen inn! It’s an easy 5 minutes walk from the tram stop and it is a peaceful and hospitable place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included (you have it in your room, the staff come to roll up your tatami 30 mins before - we just went to the onsen during this time) which was traditional Japanese style and delicious. The onsens are not too big but there are outdoor and indoor sections and perfectly adequate. The staff look after you warmly and we loved our experience of traditional Japanese culture here. Oh, and it’s near the Botanical Gardens where we saw monkeys bathing in the onsen.

Being a luxury transit hotel, Portom really nailed it. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with such attentive service. Special shout-out to a young lady named Miss 吳, who helped us with check-in and gave us a quick room tour. She was so observant and attentive—even without us asking. You can really feel her sense of ownership and professionalism in the way she handles her job. Soft-spoken, gentle, yet clear and firm in her role. She was so good that I felt I had to write this review for her! Other than that, the hotel impressed me in so many ways. It’s beautifully designed, with lots of thoughtful details everywhere. I really enjoyed both the software and hardware. I’d definitely come back again, and I’d happily recommend it to others. This hotel is truly a piece of art. every detail feels so well-thought-out!

This was my second stay at this onsen hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were generally courteous and helpful, although the receptionist could have been more welcoming, as he did not greet guests with a smile. The facilities were well-maintained, and I particularly enjoyed the night lounge area, where guests could relax with mulled wine, coffee, and fresh grilled apples while enjoying a foot spa. The hotel was clean throughout, and the meals served were fresh and of good quality.

The overall experience was excellent. Slippers are required upon entering the inn, and the tatami mat flooring felt wonderfully clean and comfortable. We booked a room with a private indoor hot spring, which was incredibly convenient, allowing us to enjoy a soak whenever we pleased. The half-board plan was very practical. We stayed for two days, and each meal was different, which kept things fresh and exciting. There were complimentary snacks available near the dinner entrance, and they even offered free ramen as a late-night supper. Each day, our room was also replenished with complimentary drinks and snacks. If you're visiting Dingxishan for a hot spring getaway, I would definitely recommend this place. The only minor drawback was perhaps its location being quite close to a main road. My room and private indoor hot spring, at least, overlooked the main road, which wasn't very scenic.

My room on the 22nd floor offered fantastic views; I was even lucky enough to witness a blood moon. In the evenings, I found dining options to be scarce if heading towards the TV Tower. However, if you turn left upon exiting the hotel, you'll discover many fantastic eateries, especially Nemuro Hanamaru Sushi, which is absolutely worth queuing for. Peking University is approximately 2 km away, and a Didi International ride cost 65 RMB. There's also a small convenience store to the left of the hotel that sells packaged bananas.

Excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers visiting Hakodate! convenient location - easy to get around, with a short walk to the tram station. The tram connects you to many popular attractions around the city. Plus, the airport transfer bus stop is just a stone's throw away, with affordable fares to New Chitose Airport (13,000 yen). We also discovered a lovely 2nd-generation ice cream parlor right opposite the bus stop! The hotel's breakfast was impressive and delicious. Overall, the hotel offers great value for its price. We had a family room with excellent view for sunrise 🌅.

Beautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.

Good central location, walking distance to most attractions and restaurants. Rooms were a bit smaller but good value for money. Rooms and amenities are very similar to Muji style. Onsen were very busy, no private owners available. Service was average, they refused to bring down our luggage and said we would need to pay extra 1000 yen to checkout immediately after 11am.

The hotel is located in Yukawa Onsen Street in Hakodate Because it is a historical building, the floors are not high. Unless you come to the front Otherwise it is not easy to see immediately from the outside But when we followed the map to the door with our luggage (Figure 1) I was immediately attracted by its entrance which was different from other hot spring hotels. The receptionist saw us. The door opened and welcomed us immediately. Since the entire hall is tatami So you need to take off your shoes after entering the door Items such as shoes and umbrellas will be stored at the door Luggage will be taken care of by a dedicated person and delivered to the room We were led to the reception hall by the lady in charge (Figure 2) After we sat down, we were served matcha and matcha snacks (Picture 3) The whole process of checking in was very comfortable The lady led us to the room After kindly introducing the layout of the room and the precautions for bathing, he left. It really interprets the feeling of being at home 😌 Very spacious room On the right side of the entrance is the tea room, washroom and bathroom The sliding door is the bedroom (Figure 5) There is a small compartment directly opposite the bed (Figure 6) People can sit at the table and watch the ebb and flow of the sea in front of them (Figure 7-8) The only sound left in my ears is the pleasant sound of waves hitting the beach Give us peace of mind 🌊 Like most hot spring hotels There are also private and public hot springs here. The private hot spring is located on the first floor and is semi-open-air You can enjoy the snow scenery in the courtyard while taking a bath❄️ (Picture 9) In addition, the public hot springs are also a must-try The public hot spring is located on the 2nd floor There are indoor and outdoor soup Needless to say, the outdoor hot spring is the highlight ✨ Overall From environment to facilities to services Nothing to complain about We later learned This hot spring hotel was built during the Taisho period (around the 1920s) It is a century-old building that has experienced a century of light and shadow. The house itself is like a tourist attraction Magnificent and solemn During the Showa era, the Emperor also stayed here Full of humanistic atmosphere

GGuest UserWe booked this hotel for a special stay for our Christmas Day abroad and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cozy, spacious and quiet with very comfy beds. We appreciated the entry way with the closet and shoe rack. We also appreciated the shower with great pressure, the large sink counter and the Japanese style toilet. There was also a good amount of toiletries provided. We had Japanese style pajamas, slippers for the room, sandals to go around the hotel in and even slippers specifically for the toilet area. The room has a large TV and you can connect to it with an HDMI cable or screencast but we could not figure out how to screencast. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese so the important stuff was in English but the little things like the remote control and temperature control were not. We booked our stay with the buffet dinner and breakfast and for our stay it seems that all the greatest hits for Japanese cuisine were out. For dinner they had a steak grilling station, a BBQ scallop station, a sushi chef, crab dumplings and all kinds of accompaniments. For the dessert they had an array of tasty sweets but we enjoyed the macarons and Hokkaido ice cream the most. The breakfast was equally fantastic with a miso soup station, all kinds of sashimi, black pork dumplings, fried chicken and all kinds of crowd pleasers. There is a juice station and a coffee machine that makes all kinds of drinks so we were very pleased with the meals. We appreciated the plates and small dishes that allowed for small portions so we could pretty much try everything. Some items at the buffet did run out and these were specifically the small dishes - it is worth going early for breakfast and dinner because some items are not replenished and I found quite a few of these very delicious! There isn't much around the hotel other than a 7-11 and a small botanical garden across the bridge but it is definitely a hotel meant to stay in and enjoy. We went to the onsen at night and in the morning and really enjoyed the outdoor bath which was sea facing. At night you could hear the waves and see the stars and during the day you could enjoy the beach and mountain view. The onsen baths have a variety of temperature pools and saunas and good bath products. There is a machine that dispenses a few pop flavours, cold tea and mineral water in the change room. There was a variety of self care products available in the change rooms as well like toothbrushes and razors. Our room was very cozy after our bath and we found that the temperature for the hotel was possibly centrally controlled and not adjustable according to Google translation. It was set at a balmy 24 but we did figure out how to turn it off and got a comfortable night's rest. I wasn't a big fan of the hard toothbrushes that were provided mainly because the toothbrush used a coating rather than toothpaste which makes them truly single use. The hotel offers quite a few amenities outside of the onsen area but the onsen was the highlight for us. They have a lounge area with lots of seats looking out to the sea near the front desk, a separate restaurant from the buffet restaurant, a souvenir shop that sells drinks too and luggage storage. We aren't sure if there are multiple floors with laundry machines but the one laundry room we did find only had one machine so this might not be a hotel to do your laundry at. The hotel is easily accessible from both the train station and airport. From the train station you can take a bus or the tram which would take about 30 minutes and from the airport there are some dedicated busses that will take about 15 minutes. The bus station and tram station closest to the hotel is Yunokawa Onsen. This was a great stay for us and we felt one night here was perfect. There is a lot to see in Hakodate and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a more economical option but this truly was a special treat for us.

AAilikexuMy mom and I recently stayed at La Vista Hakodate Bay and were absolutely delighted! The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to the Red Brick Warehouses and the waterfront, offering beautiful night views. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so soft we slept wonderfully. The breakfast was the biggest surprise – a wide variety of options, and the seafood rice bowl was incredibly delicious! The staff were all very friendly and made sure we had a very pleasant stay. The rooftop onsen was also amazing; we could enjoy the night scenery while soaking in the hot spring. My mom loved it, and we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Hakodate!

MM11177****This was the hotel I was most looking forward to on my Hokkaido trip. The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle service. We booked a private onsen room, which was very spacious and even came with a massage chair. The kids had a blast playing in the room while the adults were glued to the massage chair! Soaking in the hot spring while watching the snowy scenery is definitely one of life's greatest pleasures, and the views of Lake Shikotsu are also stunning. We had so much fun playing in the snow. The roasted marshmallows in the hotel lobby every night were a big hit with the kids, and the desserts at the hotel were exquisite and delicious. Plus, there was a special main course prepared for children at dinner every day. There are also some nice little shops nearby with great food; the owner of the grilled fish restaurant even lent us a skateboard to play with!

MM1377****Let's start with the room: The room was incredibly cramped, like a shoebox. There was absolutely no space for a large suitcase, and anyone weighing over 80kg would find it difficult to even turn around. This was completely inconsistent with the 20.9 square meters advertised on Ctrip. Regarding the hotel's price: I paid a price that could afford a stay at a Banyan Tree resort in China, but what I got felt more like a school dormitory. The standard was far below 3-star, akin to a budget motel. I booked a twin room, only to be informed it was for single occupancy. To add a 15-year-old child, they demanded an absurd extra charge of 16,300 JPY – a complete rip-off! There are many other hotel options available right outside Hakodate Station. This place is genuinely a scam. The front desk staff were also unprofessional; they even tried to overcharge us for breakfast. Finally, the facilities: Bottled drinking water was not provided in the room. Guests had to take a communal carafe to another floor to get water. There was a dryer available, but it was pay-per-use and didn't seem cheap. In summary, I will absolutely never stay here again when visiting Hakodate, nor would I recommend it to other Chinese travelers.

AAI-KimiThis is *the* must-stay hotel in Shiretoko, hands down. I discovered it through a COCOGO Travel video on Bilibili, and its serene, tranquil, and natural vibe instantly captivated me, making me determined to visit. Shiretoko in summer is all about forests, hot springs, lakes, wild brown bears, and Ainu culture. Here, everything lives in elegant harmony with nature, allowing you to experience its magnificent landscapes firsthand. The hotel's decor beautifully reflects the local culture. They offer complimentary ice cream and an open bar with free-flowing drinks. Both breakfast and dinner feature carefully selected local ingredients; while portions aren't huge, they are incredibly refined and exquisite. From the hotel's onsen and authentic Finnish Löyly sauna, you can gaze out over the Shiretoko mountains and the Sea of Okhotsk. The breathtaking views are sure to lift your spirits and leave you feeling refreshed.

::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel! Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities. Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied. The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience. Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere. On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient. Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

MM236470****The facilities are quite old, and for the price, there's no lake view, just a street view that's not aesthetically pleasing at all. There are no facilities for families with children. The first floor is full of shops, which feels very commercialized. Most importantly, there are too many rules, and the staff are inflexible. Check-in time is rigid, they start clearing up before the mealtime is even over, and you have to move your car out of the parking lot by 11:30 AM after check-out. It doesn't feel like they're willing to make any concessions for guests.
