Hot Springs Hotels in Saitama Prefecture, Japan

The most important thing to remember about the Mark Grand is that Google Maps will show two Mark Grand hotels and one of them is wrong. Make sure that you find the correct address. The Mark Grand is a renamed and arguably improved upscale hotel in Saitama. It's a few train stops from Ueno and there's more than one way to get there depending if you're coming from say Shinjuku or Ueno. The rooms are immaculate with drip coffee, a humidifier, and you are given the option to have your room cleaned on specific days (not every day). JP customer service, as always, is excellent and although the breakfast buffet doesn't change, the options are more than enough to keep your palate satisfied for a week's stay. There's a Lawson at the second floor and an excellent gym, pool, and spa (not really an onsen). Unfortunately, the sports center isn't free and you have to pay a small fee (1200 yen) to use it but it's more than worth it. It's extremely popular with the older locals and make sure you visit in less busy times. There is a Cocoon mall nearby which is not busy and since the hotel is located in the CBD, you only come across salarymen rather than the annoying Western tourists. I also highly recommend the Railway Museum in Saitama, which is a short 2 stops away. If you're familiar with JP trains and don't mind the short commute, I highly recommend the hotel.

The hot spring was very beautiful, and the open-air bath was especially good for the skin to be twitchy. The night rice was delicious with Japanese food and was just a good amount. You can eat 1 cups of ramen for free from 21 o'clock. It was a buffet type in the morning and all were delicious. The room was renovated and beautiful. I would like to stay when I go to Chichibu again.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. Although the room was a bit small, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The front desk staff were very helpful and even used translation software to answer guests' questions. The hotel offers complimentary coffee and facial masks. The hot spring is open from 3 PM to midnight. Breakfast includes curry rice, grilled fish, tamagoyaki, and juice, among other options, all of which are well-balanced and tasty.

It's very close to JR station, and there's a street full of restaurants right outside. The room is small but has everything you need. The facilities are a bit old, but the service was good, so overall the stay was acceptable.

The children's play area on the first floor is full of wooden toys. The two are still playing. Adults can drink tea, coffee, biscuits and read books next to them. The children let them play by themselves. Life is really beautiful! Finally, we played a table game together. The slide is also cute and small wooden, and it feels that wooden toys are the characteristics of this hot spring hotel. There is also a seating area on the other side of the first floor, but there is no comic book, and there is free orange juice, tea, and coffee. Overall, it gives people a holiday, relaxation, and warmth! If you need to drive to the attractions near the hot spring hotel, you can reach the Mming Park. Although I booked through the agency on c, I think the price is similar to the official website. If dinner is to be upgraded and the beef package (+4400/person) needs to be booked through Trip.com three days in advance. But you can't upgrade adults alone. If you have children, you have to upgrade together, which is a bit unreasonable. But entering the countryside should be the local rule. You can see the hotel's own official w. But it seems that there is no such delicious food to buy back~ Haha, maybe it is still to cooperate with the happy atmosphere at that time.

Araki Kousen Ryokan was absolutely lovely and felt very welcoming for our family. This was our first stay at a ryokan in Japan, and while we were initially a little worried it might feel old or uncomfortable, it was actually very clean, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home, even helping us secure a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. The onsen was relaxing and the water temperature was just right. Breakfast was a highlight as well—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and a wonderful way to start the day together. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return with our family again.

The location is great, especially for accessing Shinsadong. Considering Shinsadong is generally a bit off the beaten path, this location is actually quite good. The welcome drink, however, was disappointing and its availability seemed inconsistent. As for the complimentary amenities offered at the entrance, I felt some staff members gave me judgmental looks, making me feel watched – as if I was taking too many. This was strange because I only took one per day, or sometimes none at all, yet I still had this odd feeling of being monitored. On a more positive note, housekeeping was incredibly quiet, which was perfect for relaxing even if I slept in late. I enjoyed the train view from my room (though I understand not all rooms have this). Overall, most of the staff were friendly. The bathtub was small, but the water quality was excellent.

Booked this hotel for overnite stay while on the way to Nikko. The are is quiet at night time. The room is just a standard Japan hotel room, though size is bigger compared to those in Tokyo downtown area. The hotel spa (or onsen) is actually few mins walk away (and need to go up to footbridge to cross the road). We drove to the spa mainly because there is a restaurant that we could have dinner. As we arrived late, we didn't try the onsen there. The spa looks good and staff there is very nice.
