The hotel room's thermostat was set at 68 degrees F when we entered but we found it to be quite warm, so we turned the thermostat down to 65 degrees, then further to 62 degrees because the room was still quite stifling. Around 2:00 a.m., uncomfortable and sweating while trying to sleep, we called the front desk and told them that we had lowered the thermostat to 60 degrees F but that the heat was just as warm as when we first entered the room (there was no way to measure it but I'm guessing it was close to 80 degrees). The front desk told us that the thermostat only controls the heat; that is, lowering the temperature will not actually cool the room or turn the heat off. They told us that the only way to stop the heat was to turn it OFF. We were also advised to open a window, which we did; but the noise from the city outside did not help us get a good night's sleep at all, and the room took a while to cool down enough to be able to sleep comfortably. This one issue---the extremely warm and uncomfortable room---is enough to make us not return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel service is very good! ! Originally, it seemed that the hotel did not have slippers, so I contacted the front desk. The front desk quickly sent slippers over. It was a very good travel experience and the location of the hotel was also very good.

Oct2022: 3⭐: I selected this hotel as a result of needing a place close to the house with easy access to the airport. I selected this hotel through the Bonvoy app based on it fitting the criteria I desired. I wasn't able to get to the hotel until the afternoon hours about 1700. I picked up my spouse from the airport and we decided to get her checked in at the hotel on the way to the hospital down the toll road. I noted that the hotel was difficult to enter and it took a bit of concentration to locate the front entrance of the hotel as it sits over top of the tollway 90. There were two handicapped parking areas available at the check in lot. There is a pay parking garage attached to the hotel and adjacent to the front entrance into the hotel. The parking garage has more handicapped parking areas available and regular parking as well. The areas are not good for large trucks or RVs. The entrance was located and I parked and we went into the hotel. We walked to the front desk and a female worker didn't greet us, didn't say hello, nor did she say welcome to the hotel. The worker said ”give me your id”. My wife was standing there to my side and I looked to see if there was someone else there we had stepped in front of or cut in line. There was no one there but us. My wife said what did she say? Is this the check in desk? I commented that this is the check in window, right? What happened to the smile, good afternoon, welcome to Sheraton, or just hello. DEMANDING my identification upon entering the building was definitely not appropriate. Having a bad day isn't MY fault. I have a choice to choose this location, not the other way around. We finished the check in at the desk, paid for parking, and we went to the room. We dropped off the bags and found that the bathroom door sags and does not properly close as it's hitting the bottom of the frame. One of the window blinds wasn't properly functional. The noise canceling device and the traffic was something to tolerate. Some vehicle drivers passing under the hotel on the tollway, enjoyed throttling the engine. This added noise to an already bad situation. Decent area food spots are walking distance from the hotel.

Fantastic services. On the day of check-out I was not able to get my Uber ride due to some information validation issue with the platform. I was in a haste to get to my next destination and fortunately the hotel staff called a taxi for me and I managed to get to get there in time. Staffs there are friendly and hospitable. Rooms are clean and tidy. I didn’t have any noise problem throughout my stay. The breakfast was good.

Great and convenient for an overnight stay at the airport. Directly accessible, rooms have a good view over the airport or the city. Quick check in and out.

Very satisfied. The hotel is quite new. The wall bed room with river view is very practical for a family. The shuttle bus can go to the main attractions, which is very convenient! There is a laundry room for self-service laundry! All in all, I am very satisfied and will definitely choose this place again when I come to Boston in the future!

It was a quick trip, I didn't get checked in until 3am and left out @9 am. The room was very clean. I was able to grab a quick bagel thanks to the free breakfast buffet. My car was waiting for me and my bag was place in my car by the attendant. Once I was home checking my emails I realized my stay was prorated and I was not charged a full day. I really appreciate them for noticing and applying the credit. I will be choosing Embassy Suites for future trips to Boston.

The room is large and well-equipped, but the wifi needs to be charged separately. The sanitation is very good, the bedding and the toilet are very clean. There are many restaurants and apple stores near the hotel.

August 2022. Stayed in a 6 bed female dorm with shared bathroom. The hostel felt very safe with key card entry. All the staff were extremely nice. Kitchen services were great and meant we didn’t have to eat out and could save money. We also washed out clothes for free with the app and you can buy detergent there which is convenient! Showers and bathrooms were great; sometimes a few hairs here and there to be expected in shared bathroom but never ran out of toilet paper or anything like that. The lockers in the room were great the ability to lock away your stuff felt very safe. Especially as young female travellers we were happy here. 10/10 recommend

Location of the hotel couldn’t be beat! It was within walking distance to almost every highlight of Boston. Typically we pick a place to stay with free breakfast but there weren’t many to choose from for the location we wanted. Our room didn’t have a view but that’s to be expected in a downtown area. Also would’ve been nice to have a hot tub or something to sit in at the end of the night. Only random complaint I have was actually the size of the bathroom. This might be a weird thing to complain about but I think because the bathroom was so large and didn’t seem to be heated well and when I did try to take a bath (yes I bathe in hotel bathtubs) it got cold very quickly.  I was disappointed they don’t have all ADA accommodations. The captioning didn’t work for half of the television shows, there were no flashing lights or doorbell for my husband who is deaf. I understand the building is old but it seemed like some of those things probably could be added. We didn’t interact with the staff much. We kept our privacy door hanger at the whole time so I can’t anything about housekeeping except the room was clean when we arrived. Overall the stay was good for the cost. And we would definitely pick this hotel again simply for the location.

Staying for 4 days, both advantages and disadvantages, it depends on your requirements. Although it belongs to the Hilton Group, the Hampton Hotel is more affordable and does not pursue luxury. Advantages: 1. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom is also large, clean and tidy. 2. There is a gym and swimming pool on the third floor, which can be used for free. 3. The restaurant on the first floor is open all day. Free tea and coffee are also provided during non-breakfast hours, and there is a self-service kiosk next to it. Suitable for chatting with friends. 4. It is very close to the airport, and it takes less than ten minutes to call Uber. Disadvantages: 1. There are no slippers, kettles, cups, and shoe shine cloths in the room. There is no front desk! Forget about making a cup of tea in the house. 2. There are few varieties of breakfast, and there is no change every day. Those who are not used to Western food can only drink some juice and eat some bread. 3. The surrounding area is a bit remote, and it is still a little far away from the lively area around the convention and exhibition center. Uber is the way to go. The weather in Boston is good, like Dalian, China.

My two sisters and I stayed in this hotel while attending a Bruno Mars concert at the MGM Music Hall, Fenway. When we arrived at the hotel, they front desk said that our reservation had been cancelled by someone who had all my sister's information. She had booked the hotel in May 2022 for a September stay. We were in the air en route to Boston when this occurred. They hotel put us in room 922. At 11:30 that night, someone tried to enter the room with a pass key. We were in our pj's and it scared us to death. We immediately call the Front Desk...the first 4 times we called...no one picked up the phone. On the 5th try, I got the Night Manager, and he was abrasive and rude. He said ”Your room is supposed to be empty as you have checked out.” I replied that this was not possible as we are standing right here talking to you. He said with much annoyance in his voice ”I don't know what is going on.....I will check you in” and he hung up. My sister called again requesting we be put into a near by IHG property as we did not feel safe in this room/hotel. They never called us. We checked out, caught our plane back to Norfolk, VA and on the way out of the airport, another Manager called and was embarrassed by all the shenanigans that took place and offered to comp our stay. Days later when my sister followed up, they said they were comping us for 1 night only. This was NOT what my sister was told upon our return to Norfolk. Every step of the way at this property was a nightmare. We had to get our own towels, there was nowhere to eat on the property other than breakfast and it was an overall extremely poor representation of IHG properties. The Front Desk staff was so unprofessional and did not seem to have a clue on how to operate the tasks at hand. If you can find another place to stay.....run, don't walk to do so.

Bottom line: I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. It’s not great but also not terrible. I would stay again if it was only for a couple of days and it was less then $120/night. Some observations: The bed was old and squeaky. It was comfortable enough though. The pillows were of standard comfort for a hotel of this level. The tv cable system was utterly outdated. There was no guide function or even a paper that shows the stations and channel numbers. So you have to flip through channels one by one and changing a channel takes about 5 seconds to load. The decor and furniture was outdated but relatively clean. Some people on here mentioned that you should get a room close to the elevators if you don’t want to walk too much. But there are other entries all around the building that are locked. You need to insert your room keycard to unlock those doors. The problem though was that those outdoor card reader didn’t work about 70% of time. The buses: Apparently this is a very popular hotel for bus drivers. Tour buses are constantly parked all around the parking lot. It didn’t cause any real problems since the parking was so plentiful. However, having the buses constantly idling in the parking lot and coming and going all day long, it sometimes felt like I was staying at a bus station. The hotel is only a couple hundred yards from I-95. This caused some road noise at night. The solution to this problem is to turn on the Constant Fan feature on the AC as a sort of white noise (it’s not on the wall thermostat; rather you have to lift the lid of the actual AC to turn on this feature). The walls are thin. You can hear every time any neighbors flush the toilet, which was not particularly pleasant. The housekeeping was outstanding. It was provided every day, which was a pleasant surprise seeing as many hotels still only provide it every few days. They were very thorough in their cleaning and really did a tremendous job each day.

I arrived early and they were able to find me a room that was available which was very nice. As a Globalist they offered a 4 pm checkout and free breakfast. Got a nice room facing the Charles River. A pleasant stay and very convenient to MIT. Also nice that they now have a shuttle that will take you to Kendall, Central or Harvard Square.

Hyatt Place Boston/Medford provided us with a very large suite with a separate room with a sectional and a business desk, when we requested two beds. It was completely affordable luxury. The family-friendly location is extremely convenient -- short drives to the Tufts campus, to several towns north of Cambridge, including Stoneham, Somerville, Woburn, and Wakefield.

As with most things we do this booking was last minute so we didn’t do the research beforehand. That being said we were pleasantly surprised. Deyli at the front desk was extremely accommodating. She checked us in early to a room with a partial river view. When we asked her if she could move us to a room with a more strait on view she didn’t hesitate. She really did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When we asked for extra towels and coffee it was there in less than 5 min. All this during one of the areas busiest weekends. Plus your no more than 15 minutes away from anything you’re going to do. We had a great time and will definitely be back next year. The short version is I enjoyed my stay and it was like staying in an upscale version of an Aloft hotel. The long version starts here: I came up and stayed for 5 days for Tufts graduation weekend in May 2022. Staff was friendly upon check-in. I tried to do check-in via the Marriott App and was successful to an extent. While I was able to use the App to open my room door, you need an actual room key from the front desk to use the elevators, gym and pool area. So just using the Marriott App was unsuccessful and abandoned. I was assigned a room on the 4th floor. The room is self is modern in appearance and was very clean upon arrival. There was a small fridge along with coffee and tea maker available. There wasn’t a lot of drawer cabinet space available (2 drawers) but there were a sufficient amount of surface area, plus the room had a 2nd bed that I wasn’t using that I could just put my clothes on. In addition to power outlets there are USB ports available both by the desk and in between the beds where you can recharge your devices. Coffee, tea and water were free and always available by the front desk. The Wifi at the hotel was complimentary and had good download and upload speed. There were also 2 complementary iMacs in the lobby to use. Parking at the hotel is $25 a night, the breakfast buffet was an additional $20, and there is no daily house keeping service. That being said, there are small signs hat you can leave on your door if you need additional towels or just stop by the front desk to get additional anything for the room. Just for informational purposes, across the street is the Alewife Reservation DCR parking with 8-10 parking spaces where you can park for free for 2 hours when exploring the Alewife Reservation “AREA”. About a 9 minute walk from the hotel is the Alewife T Station where overnight parking is $9 M-F and $3 overnight on the Weekends. The room will be serviced by housekeeping on the 4th day of your stay. As I mentioned, my plan had me there for 5 days. While the room was serviced on the 4th day of my stay. I think it would have been more efficient for housekeep to service the room at the midpoint go my stay (day 3) rather then the day before my departure (day 4). I also mentioned that the breakfast buffet was an additional $20. That being said, they sometime offer a complementary breakfast buffet in the restaurant. I’d guess your chances are 1 in 30 maybe. There would be a sign outside the restaurant if that is the case. It happened to be on my 2nd day there, and I thought the breakfast at the hotel was very good (while yes it was also free that day). There were freshly baked goods as well as 2 different types of baked omelets, cereal, eggs, yogurts, and various beverages. She helped me again tonight when I needed to extended my stay for two more days. Push a button here, pull a lever there and voila! I'm here through Monday morning. The world needs more Angyes. Red Roof needs more Angyes. Can someone get on that please?

I have been staying at this Marriott for many years and can only confirm what many of the recent reviews have said. It has really gone downhill. On weekends there is always some kind of event, tournament or group in the hotel which can be a bit chaotic. The hotel has also been playing the Covid card for too long with limited services and amenities - no room cleaning, no hot tub, no restaurant service etc. I agree with others that the information provided on the website is unclear and you really take a risk going and not having what you’d like open and available. Even the lobby coffee isn’t consistent - again maybe only Mon-Thur. So as a weekend guest your experience is very much diminished. I stayed last year for Thanksgiving and it was so dark and quiet that it felt a bit like an abandoned hotel. We’ll be visiting the area again at Christmas this year and will try the Residence Inn down the road. I have heard good things about it so will share my views after our stay.
