This is a hotel where you can't live, but you can't leave it alone. From the past to the first plate, two main dishes of beef and lamb are just right, with fresh local side dishes, and play a wonderful note on your tongue. It is highly recommended that everyone who comes to Iceland must come and taste this restaurant [strong] [strong] [strong]. The booked lake view room is not big, but the bath water is very powerful, you can wash away the fatigue of the journey, the hotel provides aurora wake-up service, at night, the aurora dances on the lake outside the hotel window, I need to climb from the bed to the window, put the mobile phone out of the window to take the exciting aurora [covers face]. After eating exquisite breakfast from the hotel the next day, I left with satisfaction. Everything was perfect.

Friendly and helpful (table reservation in another restaurant) reception. Rooms are OK, for one night everything was available, space conditions for single travelers sufficient, second it becomes a little tight. Breakfast offered was the normal, nothing exceptional, everything of good quality. Parking is sufficiently available (in front and behind the house).

I had an impromptu stay in Seyðisfjörður after the first snow of the season had made Route 93 back to Egilsstaðir through the mountains impassable for the night with my vehicle. I stopped my Media Luna in search of available rooms for the night, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. He explained the usual plowing schedule for the town, and showed me around the guesthouse. Easy to get around with a common fridge | kitchen area, and all the rooms accessible through one central hallway. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were, being very clean and spacious with a nice and modern private bathroom. Great color scheme with browns and forest greens as well. I'm very appreciative for the accommodation, which made an unexpected hiccup into a nice detour during my Ring Road trip! I will certainly be staying here again if I visit Iceland again and am looking for somewhere to stay in Seyðisfjörður. Takk!

She calls this hotel ‘our best hotel’ :)
Thank you for giving us this happy memory !!
KKanjianyuanfang2023It belongs to a family hotel. When it arrives, the boss puts the key at the door and takes it by name. The door is the famous Rainbow Road, and there is a restaurant next to it, which is very convenient. We chased the aurora here. The staff at the restaurant next to us suggested that we drive out a little bit, and it is easy to see without lights. We drove out for five minutes and stopped on the side of the road. We took a picture in a while. It was not a busy trip.
This was my favorite hotel on our trip. There are a variety of rooms at this hotel. We chose one with a private bath. The room was large and clean. The bed was great! The room had a mini fridge and blow dryer and nice bathroom. There was plenty of space and they provided additional plastic bags in the room which was nice on the rainy day we were there. We used a couple for our shoes. The room looked out over the bay. They have a restaurant open for dinner (maybe lunch?) that was very popular. The food looked great, but we had eaten before checking in. The breakfast was the best that we had on our trip. It was served in a beautiful restaurant, and it had the most selection of any of our breakfasts. The normal bread, rolls, variety of spreads, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs but they also included scrambled eggs and sausage. It was a nice change. We went to see the puffins. The puffins are on the other side of the bay; about a 5-minute drive.
GGuest UserWe love this hotel that is located in a quiet and very pleasant environment. The interior decor is warm and cozy and made with tasty. We were welcomed. The litter was very pleasant. The clean room. The breakfast was very good and we also had a very good dinner at the restaurant with the view of the small port.
LLeiThe hotel facilities are complete. It is beyond imagination that the public bathroom is very clean and has no odor. There is only one washing/drying machine. It takes a while for a lot of people. (I waited for almost 2 hours because some people were unconscious. The clothes are left for a long time before they are taken away, which is a waste of my sleep time.) The room is super small. It is really recommended to divide the room for more than 4 people. It is really narrow enough that even the suitcase can not be opened for a long time, but basically it can be
PPassport36013345347Rustic. Farm house has undergone various renovations and additions, and the dusty access road & gravel parking is still under construction. Cottages have limited grass parking and no TV, bed is directly under the opening windows, bathroom is long & thin with no towel racks. Breakfast food counter is congested, limited/cozy dining area overlooks duck pond and chicken coop.
SSlabThis place is tucked away in the fjord. It's not the Ritz Carlton but do you expect that. This place had a great bed (single) and the shower was powerful and hot, bathroom was clean and enough room for one person to stay overnight. It's right on the fjord you can walk out of the hotel and just stare at the Aurora Borealis. Center of town so it's easy to get to other places.
GGuest UserSo we had a bit of an adventure checking in. The white board of who was staying where and when was out of date. Both check in locations were closed (late afternoon). The house was quiet and the restaurant not yet open for the season.. Turns out it is really very easy. Just look up the name of your cottage in your reservation and walk in the door! Keys were inside. Yes a very trusting place. We had a good laugh at ourselves. The cottages are small but have everything you need. We sat on the porch and looked at reindeer and at least 12 waterfalls. Hard to beat. I would suggest that instructions on how to use the 2 burner stove (hotplate) would be helpful. If we had not used one before we would have had trouble as it is not straight forward. It is a good place to bring your food and relax and enjoy. Would stay here again.
